‘Interstellar’ LA Premiere Menswear Roundup

'Interstellar' LA Premiere Menswear Roundup

We’ve seen Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain, so here’s a look at what some of the guys wore to the premiere of ‘Interstellar’ held at TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX on Sunday (October 26) in Hollywood, California.

Matthew McConaughey: Alongside his Rubin-Singer-clad wife, Camila Alves, the actor wore a Dolce & Gabbana three-piece suit sans tie. Now I have loved the majority of Matthew’s red carpet looks, especially when decked out in Dolce, but those burgundy trims throw me off loving the look. Perhaps had Camila worn a dress in the same hue, the trims would’ve had a purpose, but on the whole this is a no from me.

Wes Bentley: The Ermenegildo-Zegna-clad actor was also coupled up with wife Jacqui Swedberg, who wore a Balenciaga dress and Saint Laurent heels, accessorizing with a Rauwolf clutch and a stunning pair of earrings by Jacob & Co. I love how they complement each other so perfectly, both in style and colour.

Camila Alves and Matthew McConaughey In Dolce & Gabbana – 28th American Cinematheque Award Event

Camila Alves and Matthew McConaughey In Dolce & Gabbana - 28th American Cinematheque Award Event

Camila Alves and Matthew McConaughey attended the 28th American Cinematheque Award event held in his honour at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Tuesday (October 21) in Beverly Hills, California.
They were, of course, both wearing Dolce & Gabbana for this occasion.

Camila Alves: Looking as lovely as ever, the TV host opted for a more classic brand of glamour, wearing a long-sleeved black gown spliced with lace panels, which she styled with an Aldo clutch and Neil Lane jewels.

Matthew McConaughey: The actor wore a classic tux with a luxe velvet blazer with satin lapels styled with a Boucheron ring. Quite a suave look – no wonder Dolce & Gabbana continue to be his brand of choice.

2014 Emmy Awards Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

2014 Emmy Awards Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

While the constellation of actresses on the scene at the 2014 Emmy Awards had all of us focused on the range of red-carpet gowns and glam, there was plenty more eye candy to be had with the men in the mix at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California on Monday night (August 25).

Matthew McConaughey: Not one to ever be a shrinking violet, the ‘True Detective’ actor and nominee suited up in a bold blue Dolce & Gabbana three-piece suit with contrasting black lapels, paired with Christian Louboutin ‘New Orleans’ flats, and a Bulgari watch and cufflinks. Was it my favourite look of his? Perhaps not. It even drew ‘A Night at the Roxbury’ comparisons among the Twitter-verse. But, with that handsome gaze, he can pull off anything.

Aaron Paul: The ‘Breaking Bad’ Emmy winner couldn’t have accepted his trophy in more classic fashion. He wore top-to-toe Prada in a black kid-mohair tuxedo, with a two-button notch-lapel design and velvet trim on the collar. A white smoking silk shirt, black bowtie and black spazzolato lace-up shoes, plus a Bulgari timepiece, completed the look.

Ty Burrell: Channeling his own blue mood, the ‘Modern Family’ Emmy winner wore a custom Todd Snyder tuxedo that was made especially for his big night. The Italian wool design was a collaborative effort between Ty, his stylist, Ilaria Urbinati, and the designer and boasts a unique shade of blue called ‘dusk,’ which nicely updates the tux from the more standard colourways of black and navy.

Matthew McConaughey In Dolce & Gabbana & Camila Alves In Kaufmanfranco – 30th Annual Television Critics Association Awards

Matthew McConaughey In Dolce & Gabbana & Camila Alves In Kaufmanfranco - 30th Annual Television Critics Association Awards

Matthew McConaughey was joined by wife Camila Alves and Bryan Cranston with plenty to celebrate at the 30th Annual Television Critics Association Awards at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Saturday (July 19) in Beverly Hills, California, where the gentlemen took home honours for ‘True Detective’ and ‘Breaking Bad’ respectively.

Matthew McConaughey: The actor was of course decked out in Dolce & Gabbana, donning a maroon three-piece suit styled with a slim blue tie and matching silk pocket square.

Camila Alves: Matthew’s gorgeous wife was on hand to provide the eye candy, looking lovely while hopping on the LWD summer trend donning a Kaufmanfranco Fall 2014 long-sleeved white wrap dress with supreme clean lines for a fresh take on this trend. Do you think she paired this dress with white pumps or took inspiration from the runway?

Bryan Cranston: Like Matthew, Bryan also opted for a sleek classic suit, donning all grey with a white dress shirt.

Menswear Roundup

Menswear Roundup

Here is a quick menswear roundup.

Matthew McConaughey: The actor is still on a hot streak from awards season as he picked up Best Actor in a Drama Series for ‘True Detective’ at the Critics’ Choice Television Awards. Keeping it simple and classic, the actor wore an Ermenegildo Zegna Couture burgundy herringbone, two-button, notch-lapel suit with a bow tie. His double monk-strap shoes don’t hide the fact that his trousers are just a tad too long.

Mark Wahlberg: The actor joined Li Bingbing and Nicola Peltz on the red carpet for the ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction’ Hong Kong premiere wearing an Armani suit. I love the light grey colour with the lighter blue tie, but the fit is way off for me. It feels at least a size too big.

Josh Dallas: The ‘Once Upon A Time’ actor joined Matthew at the Critics’ Choice Awards yesterday evening. Keeping it all black and not opting for a tie, the actor wore a Z Zegna shawl-collar suit with a grosgrain lapel and buttoned-up shirt.
