Ashley Olsen In vintage Dior & Mary-Kate Olsen In vintage Chanel – 2013 Met Gala

Don’t be surprised that the Olsen twins opted to go vintage and oversized at the 2013 Met Gala on Monday evening; after all, this is their red carpet M.O.

Ashley Olsen: The designer’s beaded orange Dior Couture dress with a sheer overlay is a beautiful design, but for some reason made me think of one of Andre Leon Tally’s capes.

Mary-Kate Olsen: This look was my least favourite of the two; her Chanel beaded, drop-waist black dress would’ve been so much better without the fur-trimmed robe.

Which Olsen look works better for you?

Ashley? Mary-Kate? Or none-of-the-above?

One wonders if the words; belt, or waist-nipping mean anything to these girls.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen In The Row – WSJ. Magazine’s ‘Innovator Of The Year’ Awards

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen sported their favourite glued-to-the-hip pose on the red carpet last night for the WSJ Magazine ‘Innovator Of The Year’ Awards held at MOMA in New York City.

Both were decked out in clobber from their recently presented The Row Spring 2013 collection.

Ashley wore a black V-neck dress with pleated panels, adding colour to her look via her burgundy The Row bag.

She opted for free-flowing wavy tresses and barely there makeup.

Mary-Kate wore a sleek navy suit featuring tapered pants and a tailored blazer with a softly draped waterfall front accented with baubles.

She styled her look with a black sequin bag from The Row, Cartier jewels and a topknot.

Mary Kate & Ashley Olsen In The Row – Cafe Cluny

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were spotted as they left lunch at Cafe Cluny in downtown New York yesterday afternoon.

It appears that even in adulthood, the twins can’t stop dressing alike.

Both wore black coats, black pants, black tops and shades but Ashley opted for Balenciaga sneakers while Mary-Kate donned black boots.

They also have the same taste in arm candy as they both carried their ‘Day Luxe’ alligator tote from The Row.

Ashley opted for this expensive bag in blue, whereas Mary-Kate completed her all-black head-to-toe look carrying the black version.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen In The Row – 2012 CFDA Fashion Awards

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen took home the ‘Womenswear Designer of the Year’ award for their line, The Row, at the 2012 CFDA Fashion Awards, held at the Alice Tully Hall in New York City yesterday evening.

I almost fell off my chair when I found individual pictures of the sisters.

As walking spokesmodels for their winning brand, both designers looked gorgeous wearing looks from The Row Resort 2013 collection.

Debuting a brunette look, Mary-Kate went for a darker look, wearing a long-sleeved black silk dress with a high-low hem.

The dress was accessorized with a statement Sidney Garber necklace and Louis Vuitton black suede peep-toes, plus a black The Row purse.

Ashley wore a rarely seen burst of colour, standing out in a violet silk dress with a simple ruffle running down the front.

Like her sister, Ashley accessorized with a black The Row bag, Sidney Garber cuff bracelets and Manolo Blahnik heels.

A slick, centre-parted bun completes the look.

Ashley & Mary-Kate Olsen In The Row – The Fresh Air Funds Salute To American Heroes

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen attended the Fresh Air Funds Salute to American Heroes yesterday in New York City.

Both wore looks from their fashion label, The Row.

Ashley wore a lovely ivory halter dress from the Spring 2012 collection with a ruffled, textured detail cascading down the front.

With her hair pulled back into a simple bun, she styled with a Sydney Garber bracelet and Manolo Blahnik tan pumps.

Mary-Kate selected a darker look from The Row, teaming a black silk blouse with large blouson sleeves with a matching black silk skirt.

Statement jewels, Fendi colour-block sandals and a crocodile bag by The Row accessorized her look.

On this rare occasion I like both looks, but I wish they would stand apart just once on the red carpet so we can get a proper look at what they are wearing.

Ashley & Mary-Kate Olsen – Christian Louboutin’s Barney’s New York Cocktail Party

Blake Lively wasn’t the only celeb to attend the Christian Louboutin cocktail party at Barney’s New York last night; Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were also present to fete the beloved shoe designer.

As per usual, the twins stepped onto the red carpet wearing oversized ensembles. On this occasion they wore matching all-black outfits.

Ashley went for The Row Smashton leather leggings that she teamed with a tweed jacket and a long-sleeve silk blouse.

Of course her ensemble couldn’t have been complete without a couple of black Louboutin accessories: ‘Mikarani’ tassel loafers and ‘Loubis Angels Fringe’ shoulder bag provided the finishing touches.

Mary-Kate celebrated with the designer of the hour wearing pointed-toe leopard print ‘Dahlia’ Louboutin’s booties and a matching Christian Louboutin ‘Loubis Angel’ clutch.

She also wore leggings, but she paired them with a dress that hit below the knee. She finalized her look with a fur jacket that had quilted leather sleeves.

Overall, I’m not surprised or wowed whatsoever by their outfits because they dress this way over and over again.

I would love to see them dress outside their style box just once in a while.
