Mary J Blige In Prabal Gurung – ‘Mudbound’ London Press Day

After duly impressing at the London Film Festival premiere of ‘Mudbound’, Mary J. Blige was back at it for the London Press Day.

This Prabal Gurung Spring 2018 look was on the Red Carpet Wish List for none other than Mary J. Blige—and our wish was her command.

This was a lovely way for the star to introduce such a bold selection of hues into the mix, checking the box on both style-forward glam allure and her distinctly edgy vibe.

Anabela Chan and Pasquale Bruni jewels completed the look.

Did you like her choice of complementary magenta pumps to play off the one-sleeve top?

Mary J. Blige In Elizabeth Kennedy – ‘Mudbound’ London Film Festival Premiere

I can’t say I’ve ever been a fan of Mary J. Blige’s style – until now.

The singer/actress looked breathtaking on the red carpet this evening (October 5) for the London Film Festival premiere of ‘Mudbound’.

Much like Claire Foy, the actress scored a red carpet PB in her Elizabeth Kennedy Resort 2018 gown.

I love how the elegant floor-sweeping silhouette evokes a feeling of Old Hollywood glamour, and stand collar and bow detail sets this apart from the typical black red carpet gown.

I’m sure many are disappointed, but not surprised by the fur stole.

Mary J. Blige In Gucci – ‘Mudbound’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Mary J. Blige hit the red carpet at the ‘Mudbound’ Toronto Film Festival premiere on Tuesday (September 12).

As one who normally prefers solid, sexier looks, I was surprised to hear the singer was in Gucci, but understood when I saw her in this sharp-shouldered Fall 2017 dress.

Eschewing the pink tights and hat, Mary accessorized with statement rings and Chanel shoes detailed with bows.

She made it her own, but I would have liked to see the cascade of blonde hair loosely tied back to better show off the dress’s ruffled front.

‘The Meyerowitz Stories’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere Red Carpet Roundup

The premiere of ‘The Meyerowitz Stories’ on Sunday (May 21) brought a number of other stars to the Cannes Film Festival red carpet.

Clotilde Courau: Clotilde brought a gilded touch to the proceedings with her embroidered Georges Hobeika gown. Just don’t look too closely at the nude illusion components that provided a slightly distracting tint to the majestic gold filigree look.

Barbara Meier: Electric blue will always be one of my favourite colours, especially with the fiery red locks of Barbara’s. So, I’m not sure why I wasn’t completely in awe of this Alexis Mabille Couture look. I blame the stiff, structured silhouette of the off-the-shoulder bodice that seemed a bit awkward.

Laetitia Casta: The slashed-to-there look comes back yet again in this Saint Laurent Fall 2017 gown, and in case you had any chance of missing the thigh-high slit, this one’s embellished in crystals. It’s nothing revolutionary for Cannes, but a sleek bun would have been in order to better highlight her gorgeous earrings.

2017 Met Gala Red Carpet Roundup

Many more stars were at the 2017 Met Gala on Monday (May 1) in New York City.

Hailee Steinfeld: I love the deconstructed kimono edge of this Vera Wang design that was both playful and progressive. Hailee’s twisted top knot and winged eye liner likewise sold the look to me.

Dasha Zhukova
: Dasha softly echoed the theme with this red floral Proenza Schouler keyhole gown.

Olivia Cooke: Also wearing the colour of the night, Olivia donned a seductive red Burberry gown with boudoir lace that got creative in its asymmetry.

Mary J Blige In Versace – 2015 amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala

Mary J Blige In Versace - 2015 amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala

Mary J Blige attended amfAR’s 22nd Cinema Against AIDS Gala at Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc on Thursday (May 21) in Cap d’Antibes, France.

The singer, who is performing at the event tonight, wore a strapless Versace column gown fully embroidered with Swarovski crystal beading.

Remove the cuff and the yellow nails, and then I’ll get started on how much the tattoo ruined the elegance of this look.
