Mary J Blige In Catherine Malandrino – ‘Rock Of Ages’ LA Premiere

Mary J Blige joined her cast-mates on the red carpet yesterday evening for the ‘Rock Of Ages’ world premiere, held at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California.

I love Mary. I feel like I have done all my life, but this Catherine Malandrino Fall 2012 dress with asymmetrical cuts is unforgiving making her look lumpy in all the wrong places.

The dress appears to be too tight because of the ruched detailing (or maybe it’s just too tight), plus I find the necklace to be very unnecessary.

Her statement earrings, her Barbara Bui snakeskin wooden heels and 40s hairstyle are the only things I like about this look.

Mary J Blige In Michael Kors – 2012 Golden Globe Awards

Mary J Blige looked sensational on the red carpet for the 2012 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday.

When the singer looks this good there is only one man behind it: Michael Kors.

Her suntan crystal-embroidered Michael Kors halter gown has a feather detailed skirt to provide that extra something to complete her divalicious look.

Beautiful statement earrings and a Jimmy Choo ‘Cybelle’ clutch completed her look.

Mary J Blige In Michael Kors & Alexander McQueen – VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul

Mary J Blige hit the red carpet last night for VH1’s Divas Celebrate Soul event at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City.

The divas paid tribute to the great cities of soul music: Chicago, Philadelphia, Detroit, London and Memphis.

I’m thankful she wore Michael Kors because she always looks her best when she dons his designs.

On this occasion she wore a Michael Kors Fall 2011 one-shoulder nude jersey gown which was decorated with crystal embroidery.

Mary also wore a fur jacket on the red carpet to perfect her divalicious look.

An asymmetrical bob with blunt bangs and glossy lips provided the finishing touches.

If this dress is looking very familiar to you, that’s because Gwyneth Paltrow wore a similar dress from the same collection to the Vanity Fair Oscar party earlier this year.

Mary J Blige In Roberto Cavalli – 2011 American Music Awards

Mary J Blige was one of the many stars to perform on stage at the 2011 American Music Awards which were held at the Nokia Theatre LA Live in California last night.

The singer wore a Roberto Cavalli gown.

I love Mary, Roberto Cavalli and animal print individually, but the combo is not working here.

Not one single bit.

Not hair, not the oversized Pat Butcher-eqse earrings and especially not the shapeless dress.

Who Wore Zac Posen Better? Leigh Lezark, Reese Witherspoon or Mary J Blige

Back in March, Leigh Lezark attended Zac Posen’s Fall 2011 presentation wearing sexy leopard print dress from the designers’ Pre-Fall 2011 collection.

Leigh added black accessories including a fur jacket, black pumps and a quilted Chanel bag to her fitted knee-length bustier dress with a sweetheart neckline.

Reese Witherspoon accepted the ‘Generation Award’ at this year’s MTV Movie Awards wearing the same dress which she had shortened.

With her hair down in a teased wavy style, she completed her look with a pair of nude Jimmy Choo ‘Quiet’ peep-toes.

Mary J. Blige wore the same dress to attend the 2011 McDonald’s 365Black Awards this month.

The singer kept things simple by only adding a pair of black patent leather peep-toe heels to her look.

I love the dress on Leigh, especially with the black accessories as it looks incredibly chic against her signature jet-black hair, but her shoes definitely let her down here.

And while I admire Mary’s individual style, her bleach-blonde bob is competing for attention with the dress and just isn’t my taste.

Even though I think she could have added more exciting accessories, my vote is going to Reese. I much prefer her overall styling of the dress.
