Red Carpet Fashion Awards

amfAR's Inspiration Gala Sao Paulo 2

There were plenty more celebs and models who took to the red carpet joining Kate Moss for the amfAR’s Inspiration Gala Sao Paulo on April 4, 2014 in Sao Paulo, Brazil making the end of Sao Paulo Spring 2015 fashion week.

Naomi Campbell: The supermodel wore a white Givenhcy Couture racer-front gown enriched with embroidered details and a flowing fringed skirt. It would appear that Naomi has a thing for Tisci creations with a fringed skirt, as she has worn similar pieces to 2011 Met Gala and the 2011 amfAR Gala during Cannes Film Festival.

Candice Swanepoel: Perhaps my favourite look on this red carpet was Candice in Valentino. The neon-yellow hue gives this strapless embroidered dress a more modern feel. Styled with a simple updo, with barely there makeup she added yellow-diamond Amsterm Sauer earrings and ring to her look.

Mary J Blige In Trina Turk - The Grove's 11th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Spectacular

Mary J. Blige attended The Grove’s 11th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Spectacular held at The Grove in Los Angeles, California on Sunday, where she also performed.

Doing her very best to win my heart, the singer wore a Trina Turk ‘Atwood’ black-and-white jumpsuit with a halter neckline, keyhole detail, gold-belted waist and smart loose-fit pants.

I’m nitpicking, as I do, but securing one more notch on the belt to make it sit better would’ve perfected this look.

Mary J Blige In Gucci - LACMA Art + Film Gala 2013

Mary J Blige allowed me to check one look off my MFW Spring 2014 wish list while attending the third annual LACMA Art + Film Gala held at LACMA in California yesterday evening, honouring filmmaker Martin Scorcese and artist David Hockney.

While in my mind this raspberry Gucci Spring 2014 jumpsuit with black trims was destined for Gwen Stefani, it’s a perfectly stylish look for the R&B singer.

Mary styled the look with Gucci accessories, including black multi-strap peep-toes and a metallic python raspberry clutch with an oversized tassel detail.

Both the colour and the figure-flattering fit looked great on her. Take the tassel out of the picture and I love this from head-to-toe.

Mary J Blige joined Malin Akerman and Julianne Hough on the red carpet this evening for the ‘Rock Of Ages’ London premiere, held at the Odeon Leicester Square.

I’m so glad Mary had a chance to redeem herself following the unflattering dress she wore to the LA premiere.

On this occasion she wore a another dress designed by her BFF Catherine Malandrino, but with better results.

The Fall 2012 black leather dress with sheer and mesh panels was styled with two Eddie Bargo alternating pave cone bracelets.

She kept half of the rolled hairstyle she sported in LA, plus she also wore the same Barbara Bui sandals.

A nude lip colour and another pair of statement earrings completed her look.

Much improved or more of the same?

Mary J Blige joined her cast-mates on the red carpet yesterday evening for the ‘Rock Of Ages’ world premiere, held at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California.

I love Mary. I feel like I have done all my life, but this Catherine Malandrino Fall 2012 dress with asymmetrical cuts is unforgiving making her look lumpy in all the wrong places.

The dress appears to be too tight because of the ruched detailing (or maybe it’s just too tight), plus I find the necklace to be very unnecessary.

Her statement earrings, her Barbara Bui snakeskin wooden heels and 40s hairstyle are the only things I like about this look.
