Mary Elizabeth Winstead in Diane von Furstenberg – 2017 Directors Guild Of America Awards

Mary Elizabeth Winstead was also at the 2017 Directors Guild Of America Awards on Saturday (February 4) in Beverly Hills.

We’ve seen the boudoir look in a number of forms lately, with this Diane von Furstenberg cutout slip dress bringing a more minimalist sensibility to the trend.

At first I questioned the more pared-back styling with her natural beauty look and only the light touch of a few Jennifer Meyer rings plus a clutch that matched the gown.

But it all brought a fresh innocence to the ensemble while maintaining its simple allure.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead In By Johnny – 2017 Winter TCA Tour & Premiere Of FX’s ‘Legion’

Mary Elizabeth Winstead is clearly having a moment with Australian brand By Johnny.

2017 Winter TCA Tour: The ‘Fargo’ stars first look was from the Resort 2017 collection which I love for the shimmer, sculptural and asymmetrical elements which added extra depth to this two piece. I can imagine it moved elegantly.

Premiere Of FX’s ‘Legion’: Going from contemporary to something more classic and attributable to her style; this Fall 2017 strapless number spelled out easy chic. This look wasn’t perhaps as eye catching as Aubrey Plaza’s sequin frock, but with the editions of the blue clutch and rouge lip, this look was in a league of its own.

HFPA And InStyle Celebrate The 2016 Golden Globe Award Season Red Carpet Roundup

HFPA And InStyle Celebrate The 2016 Golden Globe Award Season

The starlets came out for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and InStyle’s celebration of the 2016 Golden Globe award season at Ysabel on Tuesday (November 17) in West Hollywood, California.

Sarah Hyland: Playing with proportion, the actress wore a Vera Wang Spring 2016 red and black frock with Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals. This dress was all about duality—both bold and balletic with the whimsicality of the voluminous frou silhouette and the structure of the suspender straps and bandeau top underneath.

Vanessa Hudgens: I likewise did a double-take upon seeing Vanessa whose look more fully took on gothic form with her straight, jet-black locks and oxblood lip. Yet her Bec & Bridge Spring 2016 metallic-printed, sheer black cutout gown still possesed that romantic bohemian vibe for which she is known—just manifested in slightly darker style.

2015 Baby2Baby Gala Red Carpet Roundup

2015 Baby2Baby Gala Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup from the 2015 Baby2Baby Gala on Saturday (November 14) in Culver City, California.

Jenna Dewan Tatum: As always, Jenna was head and shoulders above the rest looking elegant wearing a Monique Lhuillier Spring 2016 spring-green strapless embroidered tulip dress with white degradé flowers. The styling – yes even the white shoes – made me swoon.

Reese Witherspoon: Sadly this is all wrong for Reese. Words I thought I would never say in reference to a Giambattista Valli Spring 2015 Couture piece. I guess this explains why she usually sticks to tried and trusted.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley: From the sugary pink hue, to the poor construction of this Dior frock and the horrendous shoes, this was a no from head-to-toe from Rosie.

2015 ELLE Women In Hollywood Awards Red Carpet Roundup

2015 ELLE Women In Hollywood Awards Red Carpet Roundup

The 22nd annual ELLE Women in Hollywood Awards were hosted last night (Oct. 19) at the Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills, California, where ELLE’s eight November cover stars, including Dakota Johnson, Kate Winslet, Ava DuVernay, Amy Schumer, Salma Hayek, Carey Mulligan, Gena Rowlands and Alicia Vikander, were honoured. There many other influential lovelies in attendance joining the cover girls, as well.

Dakota Johnson: As one of the honorees, Dakota maintained her minimalistic-chic approach in a black Calvin Klein Collection gown. Shame about the creases, but it was still a sensually glam, dressing gown moment for the young star. However, it did leave me feeling as if something was missing.

Miranda Kerr: Like Carey Mulligan, Miranda was a beauty in baby blue. The model wore Calvin Klein Collection that fused the soft hue with masculine tailoring and sexy, skin-baring lines. The belly-button-hiding belt across her enviable abs was perhaps used in an effort for a bit more event-appropriate coverage, even if it was a bit bizarre. Matching Christian Louboutin ‘Dorissima’ shoes, a Louboutin ‘Fiocco Box’ clutch, Swarovski by Miranda Kerr collection jewels, and a vivid red lip pulled the look together.

Zoe Saldana
: Dressed in tailored sophistication, the actress wore a fall-inspired Calvin Klein Collection outfit with Christian Louboutin Toeless Muse pumps. I only wish her hair had mirrored the sleek factor with a simple bun.
