Marisa Tomei In Julien Macdonald – Chanel and Charles Finch Pre-Oscar Dinner

Marisa Tomei arrived at the Chanel and Charles Finch Pre-Oscar Dinner at Madeo Restaurant in LA not wearing Chanel.

Well she could’ve been wearing Chanel under her Julien Macdonald Spring 2010 coat.

The blush satin trench coat with pleated shoulders is covering a LBD underneath.

I’m not surprised that Marisa wore this coat as she doesn’t shy away from making bold fashion choices as you saw at the Oscars.

I think she totally pull off this coat, which could’ve easily overwhelmed her.

I just love the colour and shoulder details.

Marisa Tomei In Lily et Cie 1950 Charles James – 2011 Oscars

Marisa Tomei wore Lily et Cie 1950 Charles James gown to the 2011 Oscars last night.

Every Oscars we need a gown like this to split us into ‘love it’ or ‘hate it’ camps.

The gown itself is outstanding. I adore the deep eggplant colour.

Her seductive gown has an asymmetrical voluminous skirt and a fitted bodice.

The bodice is what brings down this look. I wish it was more tailored to fit Marisa better. From the close up it looks ill-fitted and lumpy.

I love the idea of this look, but needed a bit more work to be perfect.

Van Cleef & Arpels jewels, a Cartier clutch, side swept hair and Jimmy Choo heels completed her look.

Who Wore Vivienne Westwood Better? Marisa Tomei or Debi Mazar

Marisa Tomei graced the red carpet wearing a Vivienne Westwood lily floral-print corset dress to the Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences’ 2nd Annual Governors Awards back in November.

Her distinctive Westwood corset emerald green leafy print dress was paired with silver drop earrings, a silver statement bracelet, a black Ferragamo clutch and black Ferragamo pumps

Actress Debi Mazar wore the same dress when she arrived at CNN’s “Larry King Live” final broadcast party at Spago restaurant in Beverly Hills, California a month later.

She also opted for a black clutch, black pumps and a large chunky bracelet.

Marisa wins this for me as I prefer her pumps and I prefer her silver jewelery to Debi’s gold.

Marisa Tomei In Vivienne Westwood Couture – Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences’ 2nd Annual Governors Awards

Everyone who attended the Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences’ 2nd Annual Governors Awards looked absolutely delightful this weekend.

Marisa Tomei graced the red carpet wearing a Vivienne Westwood lily floral-print corset dress.

Her distinctive corset dress has a beautiful emerald green leafy print which is a perfect Fall dress and it could as easily be worn during the Spring.

Silver drop earrings, a statement bracelet, a black Ferragamo clutch and black Ferragamo pumps completed her look.

Although her bracelet looks quite heavy, it doesn’t overpower her look.

Who Wore Vintage Halston Better? Marisa Tomei or Rachel Zoe

It’s rare to see celebs wearing the same vintage piece, but we all know that Rachel Zoe has a huge vintage Halston collection.

At the 2010 Vanity Fair Oscar Party back in March, Marisa Tomei wore her deep blue bugle beaded vintage Halston dress from Decades with a black satin obi sash tied to the waist.

Her look was paired with Sergio Rossi heels and H Stern jewels.

Rachel Zoe wore her dress to the CFDA Fashion Awards with the Casadei 3504 triple platform pumps she made famous with her A list clients.

Although I wish Marisa wore her dress without such a wide belt, I do love the deeper plunge.

I don’t think I can ever truly love or even like a look with those Casadei heels, so Marisa wins for me.
