Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Diane Von Furstenberg's Journey Of A Dress Exhibition 1The opening-party premiere of Diane Von Furstenberg’s ‘Journey of a Dress’ exhibition brought out a constellation of fashionable femmes (and fans) to preview the show at the Wilshire May Company Building in Los Angeles, California on Friday (January 10). Naturally, all the girls had on the best DVF designs.

Gwyneth Paltrow: Putting some sizzle into her strut, the actress vamped it up just a bit in a wrap jumpsuit, accented with a satin ribbon tie at the side. I found myself liking this sexy and streamlined approach from Gwynnie, especially with that magenta-pink lip. Yes, the plunge neckline is significant, but she’s perhaps one of the few that can make it work to her advantage.

Allison Williams: Looking as classically chic as ever, the ‘Girls’ starlet was oh-so-mod in a monochromatic ‘Amelia’ wrap dress with a flirty, graphic-patterned twirl skirt, from the Spring 2014 collection. She put a twist on the still-trending white pump with her Jimmy Choo ‘Madien’ pumps that were accented with a black ankle-strap and heel. Raising the girly look to a vintage-glam level, she styled her hair into a retro faux bob and painted on a deep-red lip.

Rooney Mara: The actress stayed in her black comfort zone in an asymmetrical dress topped off with a black satin ribbon. A tightly swept-back ‘do and oxblood lip added a more severe note to the loose frock—so, too, did the strange, one-shoulder jacket sleeve.

Marisa Tomei In Wes Gordon - Variety's Creative Impact Awards And 10 Directors to Watch Brunch

Marisa Tomei attended Variety’s Creative Impact Awards and 10 Directors to Watch brunch during the 25th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival held at Parker Palm Springs on Sunday (January 5) in Palm Springs, California.

The holiday season may be over but Marisa was clearing feeling quite festive, wearing this red Wes Gordon Resort 2014 ensemble.

Opting to modify the deep plunge, the actress styled her look with a gold Emm Kuo ‘Bilbao’ minaudière and Rupert Sanderson gold sandals, with her hair styled into a voluminous bouffant.

Anyone wishing she’d opted for the original look, or did the actress make the right decision to modify the look?

Mulberry LA Party

Mulberry hosted a dinner party at the Chateau Marmont to celebrate their Fall 2013 collection, bringing a touch of the rural English countryside to sunny LA.

Ashley Madekwe: The actress showcased her impeccable flare for fashion, wearing a black-and-white on-trend look, styling a Mulberry short-sleeved peplum blouse with animal-print pants. During the party, she toted around a Mulberry ‘Suffolk’ bag from the Fall 2013 collection. Still not on board with those bangs.

Marisa Tomei: As always, the actress made a big fashion statement, wearing a Mulberry Fall 2013 shiny oxblood look featuring oversized bell sleeves. The length of the pants is perfect, as is that stunning pendant necklace.

Emily Mortimer: The British actress gave us a chic office look, pairing an emerald-green silk blouse with a black pencil skirt à la Miss Moneypenny. Black pumps and a Mulberry ‘Willow’ clutch from the Fall 2013 collection completed her look.

Marisa Tomei In Roksanda Ilincic - BVLGARI Celebration of Elizabeth Taylor’s collection of BVLGARI Jewelry

Marisa Tomei continued her love affair with London-based designers while attending BVLGARI’s celebration of Elizabeth Taylor’s collection of BVLGARI jewelry at the BVLGARI Beverly Hills boutique in Los Angeles, California yesterday evening.

She was the epitome of chic, wearing a Roksanda Ilincic ensemble from the Fall 2012 collection.

Her rich bordeaux duchess-silk blazer, with floral black-beaded embellishments and squared sequin appliqués, was elegantly styled with slim-fitted black pants instead of the two-tone skirt which took to the runway.

Barely-there makeup, Nicholas Kirkwood leather-trimmed macramé pumps and a black envelope clutch further elevated her effortless look.
