Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Anna Kendrick hit the red carpet for the premiere of her latest movie,’The Company You Keep’ during the Toronto Film Festival this weekend.

For the event, Anna wore a printed dress from the Mulberry Fall 2012 collection.

The actress, who has been choosing edgier looks of late, has tried again here with more success.

The Brian Atwood ‘Goldy’ sandals provide a pop of colour to her dark print dress.

Anna employed a bronze Rebecca Minkoff ‘Fling’ clutch, Pomellato jewels and a ponytail to finish her look.

Last night, Selena Gomez hit the red carpet again at the Toronto Film Festival. This time it was for the premiere of her film ‘Hotel Transylvania’.

For the event, Selena chose a gown from Alberta Ferretti’s Fall 2012 collection.

Selena certainly does like to keep me on my toes with her style hits and misses. This look, however, gets the actress a big tick in the plus box.

The dress suits her form beautifully, while the Jimmy Choo ‘Lance’ sandals, Swarovski clear crystal ‘Sensation’ drop earrings. and box clutch are the perfect understated accessories.

Selena finished her look with gently-waved hair and natural makeup.

Halle Berry attended the ‘Cloud Atlas’ premiere during the Toronto Film Festival over the weekend.

The actress took a style risk in a Roberto Cavalli trouser suit from the designer’s Fall 2012 collection for the showing.

While Halle looked her ever-beautiful self on the red carpet, the same can’t be said for her outfit. Yes, trousers suits are de rigueur right now, but this one is not working for me.

The jacket is well-cut and might be OK if style with something else.

The pants, on the other hand, look dated and the pattern on the sheer Monique Lhuillier blouse is too busy when clashed against the purple print. And, Halle, do we really need to be seeing your bra?

What do you think?

Nina Dobrev once again showed off her love of print at the Hollywood Reporter TIFF Lounge at the Toronto Film Festival yesterday.

The actress chose a cute short and top set from designer Monique Lhuillier’s Resort 2013 collection.

Nina can do no wrong on the style front at the moment. In her second Monique Lhuillier look in as many days, the stylish up-and-comer worked this ensemble to perfection.

A pair of Manolo Blahnik for Monique Lhuillier orange shoes, matching bangles and simply parted hair finished her look.

Jennifer Lawrence was a woman in white for the ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ photocall at the Toronto Film Festival yesterday.

The actress looked beautiful in a white sheath dress from Antonio Berardi’s Resort 2013 collection.

I love the cut and detail of the dress, particularly the mesh panelling, and Jennifer definitely has the body for it. My only wish is that she’d had worn different shoes.

The Nicolas Kirkwood heels are great, but I think the dress would look better matched with a brighter colour, such as the pair on the model above.

Loose locks and a dark manicure completed her look.

Believe it or not, but I have been trying to get the BDOTW poll up since Friday. Every time I start working on it, another gorgeous gown hits the red carpet in Venice or Toronto.

This time it was Naomi Watts who halts proceedings wearing a gorgeous Elie Saab Resort 2013 gown to the Toronto Film Festival premiere for ‘The Impossible’.

As we know blush and nude have been Naomi favourite red carpet colours of late, so this lavender gown is a breath of fresh air.

The dress, like all Elie dresses, fits like a glove.

I love the daring plunging neckline and the double pleated detail on the waist plus I’m grateful she kept the belt.

Gold accessories, a slick back ‘do and gorgeous smile completes this look, which sees the actress take a large step out of her comfort zone….finally.

Despite one hiccup, Mr Saab is having an amazing week.
