The Hugo Boss Prize 2014

The Hugo Boss Prize 2014

The Hugo Boss Prize 2014 took place at the Guggenheim Museum on Thursday (November 20) in New York City, with celebs wearing looks from the Spring 2015 collection designed by Jason Wu.

Kate Bosworth: Oozing with elegance, glamour and charm, the actress’s black and white fitted strapless BOSS Spring 2015 number was effortlessly styled with black accessories including an Rauwolf clutch and Kurt Geiger London ‘Britton’ pumps.

Nicola Peltz: Black continues to be the starlet’s red carpet M.O., with only a few brushes with colour during her ‘Transformers’ promo tour. On this occasion her BOSS Spring 2015 LBD was strapless and fitted, with a sheer overlay adding a sensual touch to the ultra-femme look. A rouge mani and wing-tip eyes completed her simple look.

Margot Robbie: While the others opted for strapless dresses, Margot worked a more mannish approach in a classic Hugo Boss suit with satin lapels. I love how she totally committed to the look, slicking back her hair, giving off a young Brigitte Nielsen vibe. The bold orange-red lip is just divine.

Margot Robbie In Ellery – Stakes Day

Margot Robbie In Ellery - Stakes Day

Following her attendance at the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards in London last week, Margot Robbie returned home for the Swisse Marquee on Stakes Day held at Flemington Racecourse on Saturday (November 8) in Melbourne, Australia.

Opting for hints of yellow again, the actress wore an Ellery Resort 2015 top and fitted skirt for a very feminine silhouette, styled with a distinctive M2Malletier gold top-handle clutch and Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals.

I can’t help but be entranced by this summery offering, but I can’t get on board with the headpiece.

While it is a fun alternative to the more traditional wide-brim hats we are more accustomed to at these Ladies Day race events, it’s totally out of tune with everything north of her shoulders.

Margot Robbie In Rosie Assoulin – Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards

Margot Robbie In Rosie Assoulin - Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards

Margot Robbie attended the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards held at Claridge’s Hotel on Tuesday (November 4) in London, England, where she picked up the Breakthrough award.

The Australian actress brought a ray of sunshine to the red carpet wearing a Rosie Assoulin Spring 2015 halter gown rendered in lightweight cotton poplin fabric featuring a plunging V-neck and full skirt which ended up being slightly creased.

Like any on-trend starlet, she styled her look with striking ear cuffs to add a new dimension to this sunny outlook, with sleek straight tresses providing the finishing touch.

Does this work for you, or is the plunge too deep or the dress too creased to give this a pass?

Margot Robbie In Dion Lee – 3rd Annual Australians in Film Awards Benefit Gala

Margot Robbie In Dion Lee - 3rd Annual Australians in Film Awards Benefit Gala

Australian actress Margot Robbie attended the 3rd Annual Australians in Film Awards Benefit Gala held at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel on Sunday (October 26) in Santa Monica, California.

Flying the flag for Australian design talent, she wore a Dion Lee Resort 2015 strapless dress for the occasion.

Opting for all white, the fitted frock with diamond-shaped mesh panels was styled with white pumps which I don’t care for.

Not just because they are white, but because the styling is too obvious and a tad uninspired. I would’ve loved to have seen a more impressive pair of heels with this frock.

A braided hairstyle, glossy lips and a chain-accented ear cuff completed her look.

Margot Robbie In Vionnet – One For The Boys Charity Ball

Margot Robbie In Vionnet - One For The Boys Charity Ball

Margot Robbie attended the One For The Boys charity ball held during the London Collections: Men SS15 on Sunday (June 15) in London, England.

The actress wore a summery flared top and asymmetrical tailed skirt from Vionnet’s Spring 2014 collection.

I love the crisp, bright blue floral pattern on this airy silk ensemble, lending an eclectic feel to the elegant look.

Margot styled the two-piece with white Casadei ‘Blade’ heels and a navy clutch.

Currently sporting a strawberry blonde hair colour after going black to film ‘Z For Zachariah’, the actress is due to return to her blonde roots for her upcoming role as Jane Porter in ‘Tarzan’.

Margot Robbie In Ralph Lauren – The Royal Marsden Dinner

Margot Robbie In Ralph Lauren - The Royal Marsden DinnerMargot Robbie was also at the dinner to celebrate the work of The Royal Marsden, hosted by the Duke of Cambridge at Windsor Castle in England on Tuesday (May 13).

Like Zhang Ziyi, Margot worked several shades of grey, hers also courtesy of Ralph Lauren’s Fall 2014 collection.

The long-sleeve, jersey-style wrapped bodice with an open back provided a casual contrast to the slinky silken skirt that languidly puddled on the ground.

She accessorized with gemstone pendant earrings and a matching clutch, but it was her heavy kohl-rimmed eyes that proved an unnecessary distraction here. A lighter touch would have been preferred.

Last week didn’t bring Margot’s greatest style moments. Has her grey gown put her back in your good graces?
