Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Mandy Moore attended this year’s Oscars wearing a beautiful Monique Lhuillier Spring 2011 nude sequin and tulle gown.

The delicate gown features a heavily sequined bodice, clustered together to form a sweetheart neckline. A barely visible overlay drapes down into sequined half-sleeves.

Mandy made the dress her biggest statement and added only a pair of earrings and a matching ring to the dress. She wore her hair in a chic bun and added a splash of colour with some coral lipstick.

Rita Wilson wore the same dress to attend the Buckingham Palace State Banquet with husband Tom Hanks last week.

She wore gold accessories with her look, which included dangly earrings, an intricate cuff and a matching clutch which added to the gorgeous sparkles of the dress. Like Mandy, she also chose to wear her hair up in a bun.

Both women look amazing, but my vote has to go to Mandy.

Even though it was a predictable choice, I definitely think it’s more age-appropriate on her. I also think Rita went a little overboard with the blush and would have preferred more subtle makeup paired with this dress.

I Know You Love It, But I Don’t Award
Many of you have already stated how much you loved Mandy Moore’s look at the 2011 Oscars tonight.

Please don’t hate me, but I don’t.

The issue I have with this Monique Lhuillier Spring 2011 gown is that it’s so Mandy.

We all would’ve picked this nude sequin off-the-shoulder gown for her.

She never has an ace up her sleeve. It’s always the same type of gown.

Here is a round up of the rest of the looks from the 2011 Golden Globe Awards.

“Modern Family” actress Julie Bowen looked breath-taking wearing a Tadashi Shoji Spring 2011 dove grey antique crinkled silk chiffon beaded floral detail gown, which she teamed with a Judith Leiber ‘Katarina’ grey satin clutch.

Christina Hendricks looked stunning wearing a red hot Romona Keveza elegant silk crepe one shoulder gown with ruffled strap which she teamed with a Judith Leiber Fleurs minaudière.

I just wish she pulled her hair back so it wasn’t competing with the ruffled detail on her shoulder.

Vanessa Williams gave me old school glamour wearing a vintage pink sequined one shoulder Roberto Cavalli gown.

Her body is to die for and those earrings are divine.

Whilst Emma Stone arrived as another woman at the 2011 Critics’ Choice Awards; Mandy Moore arrived as the same woman.

Nothing ever stands out when it comes to Mandy Moore, but she does look beautiful in her maroon Monique Lhuillier strapless gown.

Instead of those bedazzling earrings a beautiful choker or statement necklace would’ve been preferred to add a bit of pizzazz to this look.

The Walt Disney World Premiere of “Tangled” took place in LA last night with Mandy Moore center of attention on the red carpet.

Mandy lends her voice to the main character in this animated movie ‘Rapunzel’.

She wore a stunning magenta vintage Carolyne Roehm dress from Resurrection Vintage.

The one-shouldered structured dress is amazing, but I don’t like her glittery gold Jimmy Choo ‘Private’ sandals.

They don’t work with the dress at all for me.

Not the colour, nor the style which is such a shame because I love her dress.

Day 1

Mandy Moore looked spectacular wearing a black Escada Fall 2009 on the first day of the 2009 Dubai International Film Festival this week.

Her black silk satin deep v-neck gown with a ruffle-lattice embellished skirt was as gorgeous from the front, as it was from the back.

I don’t ever remember having a ‘Wow’ moment when it comes to Mandy, so this will be the first.

Her whole look is amazing from the red lips, to the pulled back hair, to the dazzling earrings and matching clutch.

She’s definitely a BDOTW contender, but with so many candidates do you think she deserves to be on the list?

Sometimes when I look at Marc Jacobs presentation’s I wonder how they will translate off the runway.

Christina Ricci answers that question – Beautiful.

The actress blows me away looking outstanding in her chiffon Marc Jacobs Spring 2010 gown with flutter sleeves and a silver trim over ruffled layers of her gown.

Why is it that these girls save their best looks for Thursday night, just when we think we’ve decided who to vote for on the BDOTW poll?

Mandy’s second look wasn’t so wow, more meh!

But she is still looks divine.
