Lupita Nyong’o In Elie Saab – The Weinstein Company & Netflix’s 2015 SAG After Party

Lupita Nyong'o In Elie Saab - The Weinstein Company & Netflix's 2015 SAG After Party

Lupita Nyong’o attended the Weinstein Company & Netflix’s 2015 SAG After-Party held at Sunset Tower on Sunday (January 25) in West Hollywood, California.

She wore her second Elie Saab Pre-Fall 2015 dress of the day, which featured the same print and stripes we saw her wearing at the main event.

I wasn’t that crazy about the first look and I’m even less enthused about this as I wish she had worn something totally different for the party.

This has a buy-one-get-one-free feel to it and lacks imagination, so it’s hard to get excited about seeing a shorter version of the same print twice.

Lupita Nyong’o shut down the red carpet at the 2015 SAG Awards hosted at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California on Sunday (January 25).

The actress stunned in a jaw-dropping Elie Saab Pre-Fall 2015 long-sleeve, plunge gown that strongly stood out among the rest.

Featuring an abstract, multihued floral motif struck through with graphic black striping, this creation was an explosion of drama that was only elevated by its full-skirted silhouette.

Art-Deco-inspired Fred Leighton earrings complemented the dress, as did Lupita’s impeccable metallic eye shadow and berry-red lip. Continuing to switch up her styling, she worked a beautifully braided updo this time out.

Lupita Nyong'o's Rocks Her Balenciaga 'Cable' Shopper - Out In LA

It’s not often we see Lupita Nyong’o’s off-duty style, and I’m delighted that her love for colour isn’t reserved just for the red carpet.

On Thursday (January 15) the Oscar winner was spotted out in LA having lunch with a friend wearing a simple look consisting of a white tee, navy leather jacket and grey jeans.

The look was pulled together with some clever accessorizing honing in on the grey and blue. She carried an alligator-skin Balenciaga ‘Cable’ shopper, which has been popular with the likes of Wang fans Zoe Kravitz and Rihanna, with the look rounded out with a pair of Malone Souliers ‘Yvette’ slingbacks.

Lupita Nyong’o made her return to the red carpet at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards tonight (January 11), showing just why she was your pick for Standout Star of Awards Season 2014.

Continuing her standout style, she certainly turned heads in a light purple Giambattista Valli Fall 2014 Couture creation at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

Embellished with a flurry of floral-like petals at the bodice that whimsically bloomed into a printed chiffon skirt, this gown was one that was made for movement.

She accessorized with Chopard jewels and lavender-spiked makeup, while rocking a new full ’do.

Most Consistent, Breakout Star & Stand Out Star of Awards Season 2014 – Lupita Nyong’o

Most Consistent, Breakout Star & Stand Out Star of Awards Season 2014 - Lupita Nyong'o

Lupita Nyong’o one-upped herself this year, building on her 2013 Best Newcomer and Breakout Star award and doubling the recognition with a trio of wins for Breakout Star, Most Consistent and Standout Star of Awards Season.

It’s really no surprise though that the actress would score this Best Of trio. Ever since she stepped foot on the scene, we’ve been coveting her every style move, as she continues to make waves on the red carpet and in the industry as a filmmaker and an Oscar-winning actress. She also spent time in front of the camera for fashion rather than film, starring in Miu Miu’s Spring 2014 campaign.

Never afraid to trot out new looks, she consistently impresses in a range of silhouettes and a colourful palette of hues, always masterfully matching her impeccable makeup to her look.

She’s donned every major designer, from Altuzarra to Christian Dior, Chanel, Lanvin, Stella McCartney, and many more, but many of her most dazzling entrances occurred during awards season.

I’m still in awe of the glorious turquoise-blue Gucci gown with floral embellishment at the SAG Awards, not to mention her custom ivory Calvin Klein Collection cutout design at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards. And who could forget that sweeping confection of a baby-blue dress from none other than Prada for the Oscars.

I can’t wait to see what she has in store for 2015.

Breakout Star Runner Up: Nicola Peltz
