Lucy Liu In Band of Outsiders - Late Night with Letterman

Lucy Liu was spotted outside the Ed Sullivan Theatre in New York City yesterday afternoon ahead of her guest appearance on ‘Late Night with Letterman’ to promote her hit TV show ‘Elementary’.

The actress, whose style I adore, wore a Band of Outsiders Fall 2013 long-sleeved dress featuring a striped, panelled bodice that was inspired by retro video-game graphics, which breathes fresh life into this ’40s-inspired dress silhouette, with puffed shoulders maintaining the nostalgic look.

Her favourite black Saint Laurent sandals and silver dangling earrings completed her evening-show look. You can’t help but love Lucy.

Lucy Liu In Roberto Cavalli - 'Elementary' Panel

Lucy Liu attended the ‘Elementary’ panel during 2013 PaleyFest: Made In New York at The Paley Center for Media on October 5, 2013 in New York City.

The beautiful actress wore a Roberto Cavalli Pre-Fall 2013 dress which was part herringbone and part vibrant print.

My first reaction was to dislike this look, but this is the classic opulent approach to print and colour that we are used to from Roberto Cavalli. The dress commands attention with the striking baroque design in vibrant tangerine.

Opting for all-black accessories, Lucy carried a Jimmy Choo ‘Charlize’ clutch and wore the popular Saint Laurent ‘Jane’ sandals.

A half-up, half-down hairstyle and flawless makeup provided the finishing touches.

I have a feeling I know the answer to this, but do you love or loathe this look?

Lucy Liu In Vivienne Westwood & J Mendel - American Ballet Theatre's Opening Night Spring Gala

Lucy Liu was a vision in white while attending the American Ballet Theatre’s Opening Night Spring Gala held at the Lincoln Center on Monday evening in New York City.

The ‘Elementary’ actress wore a signature Vivienne Westwood strapless gown.

Her beautifully crafted gown drapes at the waist then elegantly falls to the ground, creating a small train.

I simply adore the J. Mendel capelet she added to gown. It elevates the gown to a whole new level.

Silver Lorraine Schwartz jewels, a simple ponytail and a gold Ferragamo clutch provided the finishing touches to her BDOTW-worthy look – even on Cannes week.

My girl crush just deepened.

Lucy Liu In Mary Katrantzou - Late Night With Jimmy Fallon

Lucy Liu is having a very colourful streak at the moment, which is why we all heart Lucy.

Last night she made a guest appearance on ‘Late Night With Jimmy Fallon’. Being the good sport that she is, the ‘Elementary’ actress accepted Jimmy’s invitation to play Rock Paper Scissors Pie, which culminated in each of them having to wipe cream from their faces.

Thankfully, none spilled onto her Mary Katrantzou Spring 2012 dress.

Her one-shoulder frock with a surreal underwater print features a structured skirt which adds body, and the asymmetrical hem creates a beautiful silhouette to allow the colourful hue to do all the talking.

Opting for nude Nicholas Kirkwood heels which don’t upstage the dress was the perfect finishing touch.

Your favourite this week, by one per cent, was Lucy Liu’s Carolina Herrera strapless floral ball gown, which she wore to the 2013 Golden Globe Awards.

You loved the bold floral print, her styling of this look and the fact that the petite actress had so much fun posing and walking around like a princess in her gown.

My favourite, by far, was Emily Blunt. Her Michael Kors gold lace gown with sexy cut-outs fit her like a glove and was one of the few refreshing looks in a sea of fairly predictable gowns.

Top that off with some stunning ruby jewels and flawless makeup and I was completely in awe of her breathtaking Globes look.

When it came to the fellas, there was no such divide in opinions. Eddie Redmayne, the golden boy of red carpet menswear dressing, has pretty much dominated this poll since its inception.

We clearly can’t get enough of his dapper slim-fit suits. On this occasion, he won wearing an ink-blue Hugo Boss suit.
