Red Carpet Fashion Awards

The British Fashion Council held a cocktail party to celebrate the LONDON show ROOMS yesterday evening at the Skybar at the Mondrian Los Angeles.

Marisa Tomei: The actress continued to showcase her love for London-based designers by wearing a Marios Schwab jacket from the Spring 2012 collection. It’s surprising how this collection has suddenly become so popular this week. The jacket gets a pass, but those MC Hammer pants are not particularly flattering. The yellow shoes add a punch, but I can’t say I really like much about this look, which is very rare to say when it comes to Marisa.

Christa B. Allen: The ‘Revenge’ actress opted for a look from the David Koma Spring 2013 collection. Her nude-and-orange print dress is uber cute, but I can’t say the same about her lace-up ankle boots. They just don’t go with the dress.

Louise Roe: The TV host totally captured my attention in this printed ensemble. As a jumpsuit I like it, but she should’ve lost the additional shirt. Whilst the clutch is too big and dominating the look, which is no mean feat with that print, the toe-cap pumps are more complementary.

Louise Roe was at the London Hotel in West Hollywood yesterday evening to attend the BAFTA LA TV Tea 2012 presented by BBC America.

The TV star and new host of NBC’s ‘Fashion Star’, wore a Bar III floral print suit which I thought was Celine for a split second.

Louise added a Charlotte Ronson blue python print clutch and nude sandals to her look.

Louise Roe attended the 2012 MTV Movie Awards, held at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California, on Sunday evening.

The British TV presenter wore a David Meister gown.

Her purple metallic-knit dress with an asymmetrical off-the-shoulder detail seems a bit dressy to the MTV Movie Awards.

Something tells me she should’ve saved her Manish Arora dress for this event.

The romantic look was styled with a nude lip colour, kohl-rimmed eyes and side-swept curls.

Some stars seem to have difficulty stepping outside the comfort zone of an LBD (ahem, Jennifer Aniston), but Louise Roe is certainly not one of them.

The fashion journalist showed off her love for bright colours in West Hollywood on Wednesday night, attending the NYLON Magazine June/July Music Issue Launch Party.

We have not seen much of Louise on the red carpet this year, but it was impossible to miss her on this occasion, as she donned a neon-print Manish Arora dress.

A high neckline and exaggerated hips, and a mash-up of pink, blue and fluorescent yellow comprises most of the dress, before transitioning into a green and orange splatter-print skirt.

Somehow, the journalist manages to pull the entire look together, thanks to a matching orange Accessorize ‘Alba’ clutch and simple black Ruthie Davis sandals.

Loose waves and a glossy lippie complete the look.

Mulberry ♥’s NY.

Following the opening of their brand new flagship store at 134 Spring Street last Tuesday, they celebrated their 40th birthday party by throwing a lavish bash on the roof top of Skylight West on Monday night.

We sipped margaritas and scoffed down the canapés before taking to the multi-coloured lit dance-floor to rock out to Kasabian who played a 45 minute set.

A balloon artist made us animal shaped balloons and hats which was a fun addition to the party.

My friend from New York Daily News and I set about looking for the celebs at the party.

Maggie Gyllenhaal: The actress quietly sat in the corner looking effortless and serene wearing a Mulberry Tille wrap dress from the Fall 2011 collection. She added a simple black blazer to her print dress and carried a Mulberry ‘Effie’ satchel from the Resort 2012 collection.

Solange Knowles: The face of Rimmel cosmetics is one of the nicest celebrities I have ever met. She’s beautiful and happy to talk to randoms like me. She wore a Mary Katrantzou Vienouas silk-georgette reversible shirt dress with Nicholas Kirkwood for Rodarte gold wedges whilst carrying a Mulberry ‘Fox Lock’ bag. She was impressed that I was able to name all her pieces (girl, this is what I do). I was stumped on her jewelery which she told me was by Lia Sophia.

Rose Byrne: As you know I have a mild large girl crush on Rose Byrne. The Australian actress was glowing wearing a Mulberry Resort 2012 gold pleat dress. I love the pop of colour via her aqua blue earrings. A white Mulberry mini ‘Taylor’ bag from the Resort 2012 collection and nude pumps I wasn’t too fond of completed her look.

Sophia Bush: The actress was the last celebrity to take her seat at the BCBG Max Azria show. She has been only missed one Fashion Week season for BCBG as she’s a firm favourite with the brand. She wore a BCBG Max Azria Resort 2012 printed dress with sexy beige strappy sandals.

Jordana Brewster: The actress opted for an adorable off-the-shoulder nautical striped BCBG Max Azria dress. A large white clutch and nude strappy sandals completed her look.

Julia Jones: The ‘Twilight’ actress makes her first appearance at fashion week as part of Max Azria’s group of gorgeous girls. Every time I see her on the red carpet she’s wearing either black or navy. I hope switches things up soon, because I’m swiftly losing interesting.

Virginia Williams: The actress looked gorgeous in a green keyhole mini dress.

Louise Roe: The TV presenter looked lovely wearing a BCBG Max Azria Spring 2011 colour-block dress.

Jessica White: The model stood head-and-shoulders above everyone else because she’s so freakishly tall – coming from a woman who is 5ft 11. The statuesque beauty was lovely in lavender.

Jessica Hart The Australian model worked a top knot with her sexy causal look.
