Liv Tyler diverged from Stella McCartney to wear Givenchy Couture for this year’s 2011 Met Gala.

Liv looked beautiful wearing Givenchy Spring 2011 Couture gown.

The white and yellow ombre tulle gown has quilted and appliquéd motifs and ostrich feathers at the hem.

A yellow satin Givenchy clutch and Van Cleef & Arpels jewels completed her look.

Despite seeing similar looks on Carine Carine Roitfeld and Beyonce Knowles, this look is perfect for this event.

I do wish she had done something different with her hair though.

Liv Tyler attended a screening of her movie “Super” back in March wearing a Thakoon Addition dress.

The actress paired her royal blue, floral and polka-dot printed dress with a black blazer, black tights, Roger Vivier blue velvet heels and a black Lanvin ‘Happy Mini Pop’ bag.

I love how she made such a summery dress evening appropriate by teaming it with dark, sophisticated accessories. She strikes the balance between casual and chic perfectly and shows us how to take a daytime look into the night. Fresh makeup and loose wavy hair completes her look.

Rebecca Romijn took a more understated approach earlier this month when she wore the same silk-chiffon dress to attend the launch of “Just Fabulous” in West Hollywood.

The actress added only a pair of tan, strappy wedges and a row of bracelets to her outfit. She also kept her hair and makeup simple too, opting to pin back her fringe and add a touch of pink lipgloss.

When comparing this look against Liv’s, I do wish there was something more going on. Even though Rebecca’s look is more summery, I think she could have made just a bit more effort by choosing an interesting shoe or adding a fun bag or some pretty jewelry to liven up her look. It just feels a little too plain for my taste.

My vote is definitely going to Liv. She wins for her ability to make this dress look incredibly chic and cool.

Chloe Sevigny attended the Target GO International Designer Collective Launch last week in New York City.

The actress/fashion designer wore pieces from her own Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony Spring 2011 collection.

A leopard print dress was teamed with a black bow-tie for a quirky touch.

Her look was also styled with a black blazer with draped pockets, stocking and suspenders plus Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony Mary Jo booties.

Liv Tyler also wore Opening Ceremony. Her maroon dress styled with a black leather cropped jacket.

I love the pieces, but for some reason the overall look makes her appear quite shapeless and we all know Liv has an amazing womanly figure.

Michelle Trachtenberg wore a Rebecca Minkoff Fall 2011 forest green and black abstract printed wrap dress.

I’m guessing it’s still bitterly cold in New York as Michelle also wore tights with her look.

I never thought I would be featuring a Who Wore It Better? post with Kanye West again so soon after yesterday’s post, but here we have him again wearing another Givenchy menswear look which Liv Tyler also wore.

They both arrived at the Givenchy Fall 2011 womenswear show during Paris Fashion Week yesterday wearing the same Givenchy Fall 2011 menswear Rottweiler sweater.

Kanye kept his look street by pairing his sweater with a black bomber jacket, leather pants and Ann Demeulemeester high-top sneakers.

Liv was as sweet as ever pairing her sweater with a Givenchy Resort 2011 black blazer, tights and black sandals.

There is nothing sexier than a woman transforming a menswear look into a womenswear.

I love how the oversized sweater becomes sweater dress for the actress.

Liv wins by a very long way for me.

Liv Tyler also attended the Dior 57th Street Boutique Re-Opening in New York City last night.

She wore a Christian Dior Fall 2010 asymmetrical chiffon mini dress with cascading ruffles.

The dress is beautiful but I really dislike the way Liv presented it to us.

If Liv was that cold she should’ve really considered picking another look. Lord knows she had plenty of options from the Fall collection. Not all of them were chiffon dresses.

I call this a classic case of a beautiful dress brought down with a black long-sleeved top and thick black tights.

It’s like watching a TV on mute.

Liv Tyler was the first to wear this Chanel Fall 2010 jumpsuit when she attended the re-opening of the Chanel Soho boutique in New York City during New York Fashion Week.

She wore the black version with a Chanel purse and funky two-tone brogues.

Chloe Sevigny wore the runway black and white version to the “The Artist’s Museum Happening” MOCA Los Angeles Gala earlier this month with Chanel jewels.

Both managed to look cool and sexy in this masculine look as both versions work for their styles.

I’m not a fan of brogues, but I love them with Liv’s look so she wins for me.

I wasn’t crazy about Chloe tucking in her white pants into her black ankle boots.
