Who Wore Black Halo Better? Taraji P. Henson, Debra Messing, Lisa Rinna, Britney Spears or Aubrey O’Day

Taraji P. Henson was the first to wear this Black Halo ruffle sleeved dress when she attended the Eagle Eye premiere last September.

The Oscar nominated actress accessorized with a gold bracelet, a black clutch and nude pumps.

Debra Messing wore a blue version of this Black Halo dress, when she attended the Avakian Beverly Hills Boutique Celebration in December.

She completed her look with a gold necklace, a gold box clutch, and a pair of multi-coloured Brian Atwood Marielle satin pumps.

Lisa Rinna followed Debra a few days later, wearing the same dress to the release party of her DVD, Dance Body Beautiful.

She wore her dress with a matching blue bracelet, and gold slingback peep-toes.

Britney Spears wore the same dress in black, when she attended her brothers wedding on New Yearâ€™s Eve with black pumps.

On Wednesday Aubrey O’Day was spotted in Atlantic City wearing the same dress in blue, whilst posing for the paparazzi inside The Pool nightclub at Harrahâ€™s.

Taraji’s nude pumps help her win this for me.

TV Presenters At The 2009 Oscars

TV presenters at the Oscars tend to be overlooked because they’re there to do a job, and everyone looks to the actresses.

This post is to put the focus on them before the Angelina Jolie’s and Kate’s Winslet’s turn up.

Samantha Harris is presenting on The Insider tonight, and she is wearing a cobalt blue chiffon one-shoulder gown from Gustavo Cadileâ€™s Spring 2009 collection.

Lisa Rinna is presenting for TV Guide Channel, and wearing a purple chiffon tiered skirt halter gown from Gustavo Cadileâ€™s Fall 2009 collection.

Giuliana Rancic is presenting for E! Live from the Red Carpet wearing a Pamella Rolandâ€™s burgundy metallic jacquard single strap body hugging bustier gown, straight from this weeks Fall 2009 collection.

Maria Menounos is presenting for Access Hollywood wearing a gorgeous strapless Randi Rahm gown, with a full skirt, which is embroidered with floral rosettes.

I love Samantha’s blue Gustavo Cadile gown, what about you?

30.01.09 Who Wore It Better?

Who Wore Reem Acra Better? Lisa Rinna or Gabrielle Union

This Reem Acra gown is from the Resort 2009 collection. It’s not the same dress which Lisa Edelstein wore to the SAG Awards this weekend, although they look very similar.

Lisa Rinna arrived at the 2008 Emmy Awards back in September wearing a white Reem Acra Resort 2009 asymmetrical gown, with a jeweled detail on the shoulder. For me this was one of her best ever looks.

Actress Gabrielle Union recently wore the same dress in black when she arrived to host the BET Honors event in Washington.

Both wore silver jewels to compliment their gown, but I love this gown in white, so Lisa wins this for me.

Screen Actors Guild Awards – Worst Dressed

Worst Statement Dress Award

OK Angelina Jolie is obviously wearing this vintage Hermes strapless free flowing dress in an attempt to hide her pregnancy. Yawn.

Worst Dressed Award

Tilda Swinton has a very unique androgynous style, but she should have lost the jacket or opted for a cropped version.

Most Disappointing Award

This hurts.

I tried to love it, but I just could not.

Cate Blanchett, my fashion favourite really let me down last night, despite this dress being Balenciaga.

Worst Colour Award

America Ferrera on the red carpet again wearing Monique Lhuillier.

The partnership has worked very well so far, but on this occasion this dress falls flat for me. I really dislike the colour.

I have not seen America on the red carpet since November, and I expected more from her.

Worst Embellishments Award

Jane Krakowski should have worn her hair back, as the embellishments on this Catherine Malandrino Spring 2008 halter gown totally dominate it.

It also looks like she has a bowl of fruit around her neck.

Worst Dress / Shoes Combo Award

I admire the fact that Chandra Wilson wanted to try something different from the standard gown, but this sequined dress did not work for me, neither did the shoes.

Had the dress been in one colour, maybe I would have liked it more.

It’s Not Working Award

Rebecca Romijn can do so much better, this colour on this Roberto Cavalli 2008 Resort dress is too dark and not at all flattering for her.

For me Rebecca is more of a bubble gum pink type of girl.

Worst Hair Award

Kate Hudson is wearing a beautiful strapless Balmain Spring 2008 floral gown with beaded detail, but I am not keen on the dress as an red carpet event dress.

I am also disliking her hair.
