Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Li Bingbing continued to prove she is a worthy Gucci ambassador at the ‘Resident Evil: Retribution’ LA premiere last week.

The actress wore a stunning Gucci gown from the Fall 2012 collection, which is similar to the gown she wore to the 2012 Bazaar Charity Night earlier this month.

Li’s one-sleeve black gown with a scattering of precisely folded forest green sequins was accented with a black velvet waistband.

The reason we can see so much of the detail on Li’s gown is because she opted not to line the gown, which was a wise decision considering the look isn’t too revealing on the red carpet.

A very familiar swept updo, gold drop earrings and black nails provided the finishing touches.

Li Bingbing went for the androgynous look for the ‘Resident Evil 5: Retribution’ press conference in Taiwan earlier today.

The actress chose a trouser and shirt set from Celine’s Pre-Fall 2012 collection for the event.

When androgyny is done right, it can have stellar results. By slicking back her hair at the front, but leaving it long at the back, and adding a pair of beautiful heels, Li has kept her look feminine.

The only distraction for me is the long necklace.

Natural make-up, a boyish watch, ankle strap pumps and a dark manicure finish her look.

While Salma Hayek and Blake Lively were representing Gucci in Venice this weekend, Li Bingbing was doing the same in Beijing, China for the 2012 Bazaar Charity Night event.

The face of Gucci in Asia looked breathtaking wearing a dramatically decadent Gucci gown from the Fall 2012 collection.

With a romantic, gothic air the black tulle gown was enriched with purple sequin details, an oversized floral detail on the neckline and super-fine tulle layers draped over her shoulders.

A simple updo, gold Gucci bracelet and tassled earrings completed her look.

Bella Heathcote was one of the many gorgeous Gucci girls to take to the red carpet for the ‘Once Upon a Time in America’ Gucci Film Foundation Cannes Film Festival premiere back in May.

The Australian actress opted for this beautiful gold-print gown from the Fall 2012 collection which she styled with a sweeping updo, Bulgari jewels and a black Gucci clutch.

A month later Gucci ambassador Li Bingbing wore the same dress to the closing ceremony of the 15th Shanghai Film Festival in China.

The styling and makeup are much the same except Li Bingbing opted for a studded clutch and tasselled earrings.

I had to stare at this one for a while as there is not much in it.

In the end I went for Bella as I prefer her look without the earrings and with the simpler clutch.

Li Bingbing attended the opening ceremony of the 15th Shanghai Film Festival held at Shanghai Grand Theatre in Shanghai, China, last week.

The beautiful actress wore a Gucci Fall 2012 ensemble. This came as no surprise considering that she has worn Gucci pretty much exclusively since she was featured in a series of special ads for the Italian house’s line of bags, fine jewelry and timepieces earlier this year.

Commenting on the collaboration, Frida Giannini said: “Li Bing Bing has an effortless beauty and an innate sophistication. Working with her has been rewarding – she has the optimism and the talent that go hand-in-hand with individual style. She embodies the Gucci woman with her contemporary femininity.”

We wouldn’t argue with that last statement, considering how stunning she looked on the red carpet wearing a sheer blouse with an embellished neckline and a loose-fitting pair of black velvet pants.

The look was accessorized with a rope-style belt, Gucci fine jewels and simple ponytail.

As much as I love this look, I’m still longing for someone to wear one of those feathered pieces on the red carpet.
