Lena Dunham In Narciso Rodriguez – ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’

Lena Dunham In Narciso Rodriguez - ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’Lena Dunham was a special guest on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ on Tuesday (March 18) in New York City, where she admitted her slight obsession for the late-night host.

The ‘Girls’ star also showed off her girlier side in a Narciso Rodriguez Pre-Fall 2014 coral-pink frock.

With structured, simple lines, the tee dress had the ease of a T-shirt, which she dressed up with a pair of patent-nude stilettos and freshly radiant, blush-tinged makeup.

With the rich, sweet colour taking precedence, and the more sophisticated tone also a plus, this was an improved look for Lena.

Too plain or pretty in pink?

The Television Academy Presents An Evening With ‘Girls’

The Television Academy Presents An Evening With 'Girls'It was definitely a ‘Girls’ night on Thursday (March 13), as the trio of starlets behind the popular show attended the Television Academy Presents An Evening With ‘Girls’, hosted at the Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre in Hollywood, California.

Lena Dunham: Her artsy-funky Isa Arfen Spring 2014 frock, painted with a giant eye and brushes of watercolour rainbow shades, was teamed with Jimmy Choo nude, black and metallic flats and a bright magenta lip. This look was literally an eye-catcher—for better or for worse.

Zosia Mamet: With a significantly less attention-grabbing look, Zosia opted for a basic striped, button-down Rebecca Minkoff blouse and black blazer worn with dark skinny denim Rebecca Minkoff jeans and black patent leather brogues. I have nothing against the mannish style here; I was just craving a pop of vibrancy—and perhaps a more fitted shirt and jacket.

Allison Williams: Demonstrating a far more perfected version of casual-chic dressing, Allison donned a Brunello Cucinelli ensemble, featuring a sheer ivory blouse and taupe drawstring, cropped pants. She paired the separates with nude Christian Louboutin heels and Djula jewelry, along with crimped waves and a pink lip.

With each actress stepping to the beat of their own unique style, the looks of the night couldn’t have been more different. Allison was firmly my frontrunner. Do you agree?

Lena Dunham In Narciso Rodriguez – SiriusXM’s ‘Howard Stern Birthday Bash’

Lena Dunham In Narciso Rodriguez - SiriusXM's 'Howard Stern Birthday Bash'

Lena Dunham attended SiriusXM’s ‘Howard Stern Birthday Bash’ held at Hammerstein Ballroom on Friday (January 31) in New York City.

I was just starting to get mildly excited about the concerted effort Lena was given us when it came to her red carpet looks; then this happened.

OK, so this Narciso Rodriguez 3/4 sleeve black dress isn’t all bad; just a tad boring, especially the way it was styled.

She could’ve elevated the look with some amazing accessories.

Lena Dunham For Vogue US February 2014

lena-dunham-00_171750304063

Lena Dunham – the New Queen of Comedy, according to American Vogue – lands her first Vogue cover for the publication’s February 2014 issue, which hits newsstands January 28.

Looking slightly perturbed, the actress wears a red-and-white polka-dot Burberry Prorsum shirt and heavy sixties-style eye makeup on the cover, wearing Prada, Rochas, Alexander McQueen and Dolce & Gabbana for the rest of the editorial, shot by Annie Leibovitz.

She talks to Vogue about dating, her privacy, on being popular as a child and why ‘Girls’ is different from other shows.

Here are some extracts from her interview. Read more over at Vogue.com.

On ‘Girls’ being different from other shows: “There was a sense that I and many women I knew had been led astray by Hollywood and television depictions of sexuality. Seeing somebody who looks like you having sex on television is a less comfortable experience than seeing somebody who looks like nobody you’ve ever met. Critics said, ‘That guy wouldn’t date that girl!’ It’s like, ‘Have you been out on the street lately?’ Everyone dates everyone, for lots of reasons we can’t understand. Sexuality isn’t a perfect puzzle, like, ‘He has a nice nose and she has a nice nose! She’s got great breasts and he’s got great calves! And so they’re going to live happily ever after in a house that was purchased with their modelling money!’ It’s a complicated thing. I want people ultimately, even if they’re disturbed by certain moments, to feel bolstered and normalized by the sex that’s on the show.”

On being a private person: “No one would describe me as a private person, but I actually really am. It’s important for me to have a lot of time alone, and to have a lot of time in my house by myself. My entire life sort of takes place between me and my dog, my books, and my boyfriend, and my private world. To me, privacy isn’t necessarily equated with secret-keeping. What’s private is my relationship with myself.”

On her young self: “I thought of myself as relatively unpopular. It wasn’t anybody’s fault—I didn’t go to high school with mean kids—but I didn’t feel part of it. . . I didn’t really start to feel like I had friends in a real way until I graduated from college and became engaged with the people I’d be engaged with professionally.”

Lena Dunham In Erdem – ‘Girls’ Season 3 London Premiere

Lena Dunham In Erdem - 'Girls' Season 3 London Premiere

Lena Dunham joined Zosia Mamet for the UK premiere of ‘Girls: Season 3? held at Cineworld Haymarket on Wednesday (January 15) in London.

The actress, whose Zac Posen gown you didn’t favour at the Golden Globes, opted for a pretty Erdem Pre-Fall 2014 lace dress which I will say doesn’t look too bad on her.

In black and white, this pretty piece radiates modern elegance, with a V-neckline preferred over the look book’s stuffy turtleneck.

Black Louboutin slingbacks and – undeterred by her makeup malfunction at the Globes – fuchsia-pink lippie completed her look.
