Gossip Girl actress Leighton Meester received a birthday surprise when she appeared on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” back in April – it was her 23rd birthday on 9th April.

As she walked into the studio, Fallon had the entire audience join in the surprise as tons of confetti were released.

He wore a special birthday hat during the show whilst she wore a Marc Jacobs blue, black and yellow print dress with Christian Louboutin Differa heels.

Hilary Swank wore the same dress during the same month, when she arrived at the “Los Angeles Antiques Show opening night preview party” at the Barker Hanger at Santa Monica Airport.

The Oscar winning actress wore her dress with black open-toe sandals whilst carrying a black shoulder bag.

I predict Leighton will win this, but I much prefer this dress on Hilary. Leighton wears the matching self-tie too high up for my liking.

“The Proposal” – Madrid Photocall & Press Conference

I’m in love with Sandra Bullock at the moment as she is giving us so many different flavours of fashion.

At the MTV Movie Awards she gave us a cute mini flirty Abaeté dress.

For The Proposal LA Premiere she wore a slightly edgy Alexander McQueen dress, and for her appearance on the Today Show she wore a fruity Alberta Ferretti floral dress.

Today whilst promoting her latest movie in Madrid she gave us classic look, wearing a Michael Kors chalk pinstripe origami dress from the Spring 2009 collection.

The dress has an artful origami-like pintucked detail which gathers over the skirt creating an elegant draping and volume. I also love the asymmetric hem and the contrasting patent belt.

Her look was paired with a black Azzedine Alaia ankle strap heels.

Immaculate as always.

The Black Eyed Peas New Album Launch Party At VIP Room Theater, Paris

Fergie combined fashion with music on this trip to Paris, as the Black Eyed Peas launched their new album at the VIP Room Theater in Paris last night.

After appearing at the Louis Vuitton Spring 2010 Menswear show yesterday she brought out her sex kitten wild side wearing an Alexander Wang mesh panel dress with some gladiator heels and a large silver cuff.

Montblanc White Nights Festival Reception and Gala Dinner, Russia

Princess of Darkness Eva Green is still sporting red hair, which pops against her black Alberta Ferretti Spring 2009 gown with fringed detailing.

Her tangy orange lips doesn’t really work for me, but I do love her dress and the way it elegantly drapes on her.

“Bruno” Los Angeles Premiere

I have really struggled with Isla Fisher’s looks at the Bruno premiere’s, but there’s something about this green Stella McCartney Fall 2009 dress with a black lace overlay and a white yoke that I’m warming to.

Maybe it’s her glowing tan but I prefer the dress on her to the model on the runway.

Isla’s look is paired with black bamboo Stella McCartney clutch, Bulgari jewels and gold Mechante of London ‘Dita Rose’ python pumps.

Rosario Dawson kept her look simple, yet sophisticated wearing a Narciso Rodriguez LBD with a keyhole detail, a silver cuff and black peep-toes.

No make-up yet still so beautiful.  Some girls have all the luck.

Stephanie Pratt’s aqua one-shoulder draped dress is gorgeous, but she appears to have over-done her bronzer.

Less is more Stephanie.

Christina Ricci wears a slate grey slinky Opening Ceremony dress which is loosely cinched at the waist with gold belt.

The petite star boosts her tiny figure with a fierce pair of ultra-high chunky Lanvin heels.

I’ll guess that she’s not wearing a bra again, but at least we’re not seeing any tell-tale signs.

‘It’s On With Alexa Chung’, New York

Whilst making her way to the MTV studio’s to appear on Alexa Chung’s show, Leighton Meester was spotted wearing a Thakoon Resort 2009 printed dress with Christian Louboutin lace-up booties.

It’s good to see Leighton smiling and back to brunette locks which I much prefer on her.

“Late Show With David Letterman”, New York

Like it wasn’t hot enough yesterday Megan Fox sent temperatures soaring when she arrived at the Ed Sullivan Theater to appear on “Letterman” wearing a LBD by Herve Leroux with Courtney Crawford heels.

I think Megan is starting to get the hang of looking chic and sexy as she stunned wearing her sexy pencil dress with a sheer plunging neckline.

Her make-up was the right shade whilst her luscious brunette locks were swept to one side.

fuse’s “No. 1 Countdown”, New York

Early today Megan sported a very casual look at she appeared on the fuse’s no.1 countdown.

Sporting a biker leather jacket Megan wore a Stella McCartney leopard print tank top with black leggings and purple Brian Atwood “Lola” heels.

In the UK we are slightly behind the US on Gossip Girl, so this week episode 21 of season 2 titled “Seder Anything” was aired.

The episode shows Serena returning from her trip to Spain. Blair making a secret deal with Nate’s grandfather and Dan taking a job to earn money for college.

Leighton Meester’s character Blair Waldorf wore this gorgeous pink and black floral D&G silk organza halter dress in one of her scenes with Chace Crawford as Nate Archibald.

The dress is so floaty and feminine with it’s ruffled trimmed collar and flounce hem.

You too can channel your inner Blair Waldorf by buying this dress from Revolve Clothing for $945/£578.19.

Best Dressed Award
This is the impact I wanted Cameron Diaz to make, but instead that honour goes to Sienna Miller.

I love the sea green colour of her Swarovski-encrusted Twenty8Twelve Fall 2009 dress.

The length is perfect to show off her pins, and the shoulder pads are subtle enough not to draw any Balmain comparisons.

The Brit actress carried a silvery Chanel clutch, and wore pair gorgeous Nicholas Kirkwood gold heels, to complete this stunning look.

I Don’t Follow Red Carpet Rules Award
If we expected Kristen Stewart to wear a cute pink mini dress, with silver strappy sandals, we were wrong.

She hit the red carpet wearing a Yigal Azrouël Fall 2009 red and black dress, with a cross cross detail on the sheer yoke, and a wide black belt.

I can imagine her being wrestled into this dress, and her stylist compromising on the Converse sneakers, but she totally rocks this look.

Best Black Award
Leighton Meester took a risk at the Costume Institute Gala, which didn’t pay off for me, but this edgy cut-out Emilio De La Morena Spring 2009 dress totally works.

This interesting dress has peek-a-boo parts, sheer panels, folds, and cut-outs, which Blair Waldorf wouldn’t approve of, but totally love.

She completes her look with Brian Atwood Brie purple suede ankle boots.

Risk That Paid Off Award
Taraji P. Henson certain got into the spirit of this fun awards ceremony, wearing a black and white strapless printed Roberto Cavalli Spring 2009 bustier dress.

The part French maid, part Chinese porcelain inspired look is definitely daring, and with her fun-loving personality she totally pulls it off.

I love how she plays up the ruffled detail on the back of her skirt, and her punky spiky new ‘do.

Moving Out Of Her Comfort Zone Award
This Moschino Fall 2009 red and navy floral print sleeveless dress with a ruffled hem, seems a little out of Lauren Conrad’s comfort-zone, which I really appreciate.

It feels a bit dark and mysterious, which is complemented with dark red lips, and black strappy booties.

I only wish she had pulled her hair back, to show off the floral shoulder detail.

Best Use Of Colour Award
I love to see bold bright colours on the red carpet, which is why I love Vanessa Hudgens peach satin Max Azria dress.

The dress is very grown up, but she injects her youthful glow and enthusiasm, to make this a perfect red carpet look, which she pairs with Jimmy Choo shoes, and a Nancy Gonzalez bronze clutch.

I really glad she didn’t go full on boho, with a printed maxi dress, which we’ve seen many times from her.

Hate The Hair, Love The Dress Award
I love Megan Fox’s black and gold Dolce & Gabbana strapless brocade cocktail dress, which she had shorten. It really suits her dark, mysterious persona, plus it shows off her toned figure.

She wisely kept accessories to a minimum, and added a bit of spice via her Christian Louboutin Differa sandals.

The biggest downsides are her hair, overly orange glow.

Best Theme Award
At first I hated Ashley Greene’s hair, but then I realised how much it worked with what appears to be a 40s housewife theme.

The hair works with her alluringly form-fitting Dolce & Gabbana floral print dress, with a beautiful, yet subtle voluminous skirt.

A neon yellow clutch, and bold red lips, add a touch of bright colour.

The Kate Beckinsale “This Is Not The Oscars” Award
I was really surprised to see LeAnn Rimes wearing such a formal gown by J.Mendel to the MTV Movie Awards.

She looks beautiful, she really does, but she’s a little overdressed.

Most Vanilla Award
Miley Cyrus opted for a very soft look for this event. I would’ve expected something with a lot more attitude, but she looks lovely in her pale pink cowl neck Moschino Cheap & Chic dress, which had a ruffled detail, going down her back.

The only hint of the wild rock wannabee Miley, was via her rings and bracelets.

Best Re-Run Award
I love Ashley Tisdale’s purple leather Elise Øverland dress, and the accessories she picked really punch up the look, especially those lust worthy Paul & Joe Sister heels.

We’ve seen this look before on the red carpet, but as Ashley wears it so well, that all is forgiven.

Surprisingly Not Predictable Award
I would have expected 3 things from Audrina Patridge.

1. Something low cut
2. Her black Alexander McQueen Bow Clutch
3. Her Balmain studded heels.

She blows that out of the water wearing a loose fitting paillette covered Joey Tierny Couture dress, with a dove grey Alexander McQueen clutch, and cream Louboutin heels.

Nice Dress, Shame About The Shoes Award
Keke Palmer’s look was almost perfect. I really loved her coral embellished Elise Øverland dress. It’s young, it’s fun, it sparkles, and it summery, but those grey booties lose her many points.

Stand Out Award
Malin Akerman stood out the most, because she is the only one who opted for pants, wearing a crisp, white Dolce & Gabbana suit, with a pale blue corset.

Her hair was sleeked back to complete this sophisticated look, which she didn’t over accessorize.

Most Summery Award
Yes Paris Hilton needs a new clutch and shoe combo, but there’s no denying her vibrant vest for spring and summery colours.

I love her cute coral Jenny Packham Spring 2009 strapless mini, with its ruffled skirt, and gold embroidered bodice.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun/Au Natural Award
Monique Coleman must have sensed when she looked in the mirror, that she would get ridiculed for her hair.  I admire her for ditching the extensions, and going au natural. I can’t see many others sporting this look.

Her Christian Louboutin Spartenvol Strass sandals complemented her silver and black spacey mini tutu dress, which you may all hate, but I will take this over a mini dress with tights any day.

She wanted to have fun at this event, and it shows.

Wearing a fuschia pink strapless Christian Dior Spring 2009 mini, Leighton Meester graces the cover of Cosmopolitan US June 2009.

In the magazine Leighton talks about her role in the hit TV show Gossip Girl and her real-life sweetie Sebastian Stan.

For once she is not overly made-up like in her New York Times Magazine, and InStyle US editorials. She looks really cute, and fresh on this cover.

On Playing Blair Waldorf: “The evil side of Blair is somewhere in me. Acting her out is like therapy. I get to do things nobody would ever say or do in real life.”

Do You Nice Guys Really Finish Last? “I’m not into bad boys. I think the term is stupid. A guy who cheats on you or is not nice to you? What is that? Nowadays, I’m much more mature in relationships. I’ve let go of the bullshit. I think more about the deal makers than the deal breakers. I want a guy I can look up to.”

On Real-Life BF Sebastian Stan, who also plays Carter Baizen on Gossip Girl: “I’ve never fallen in love right off the bat. I get scared to say, ‘I love you’ too soon because it means so much. It means you’re not seeing an end to things.”

On Blair’s Romance with Chuck Bass (Played by Ed Westwick): “They’re so perfect because they get each other. Chuck knows about her deep, dark side and he finds it hot. But the best part of their relationship is that it’s realistic. People don’t always date for a while and then slowly fall in love. They start by hooking up one night. It takes time to get to know someone, and then you realize that you’re in love later on.”

I don’t hate Leighton Meester’s look as the Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 dress works. It’s the leggings that ruin this look.

Her hair is also a bit cutesy, for such an edgy look.

Bad, bad, bad. This is mostly referring to Tyra Banks’ her hair and make-up.

For me the only thing I like about this look is Emma Roberts’ red Atelier Versace Spring 2009 paillette covered mini dress.

It wouldn’t have hurt Emma Roberts do something different with her hair for once, and this dress deserved better shoes.

Emmy Rossum’s Carolina Herrera Fall 2009 gown feels way too old for her.

I love the open back, but the colour, and high neckline disappoints.

This Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2009 dress, is just not Molly Sims. The look feels really forced and unnatural to her usual style, so I’m immediately turned off by it.

It starts to fall apart with the make-up, which is way too harsh for Rachel Weisz, then it continues to go wrong with the yellow hem of her pink strapless Vera Wang gown.

I’m really disappointed.

As a Versace muse, I would have expected something more daring from Liz Hurley, and less bridal. She is wearing a stunning Elie Saab Spring 2009 gown, but for me, it’s not the right style fit. Emmy Rossum should have worn this gown.

May 1st, 2009

The little goosebumps going up my arm, are a clear indication that Zoe Saldana will a be contender for Best Dressed Of The Week.

What’s that 3 weeks in a row? Girlfriend is on fire.

Her long sleeved Emilio Pucci Fall 2009 sequined mini dress, with a snake-like silver detail running through it, lacey cut outs, plus the first way she is posing, ensured that no one was going to upstage her on her night.

If you have a shoe fetish, I suggest you don’t look at her outstanding Brian Atwood Wicked heels, from the Fall 2009 collection.

Very wicked indeed.

Once you’ve scrolled down, one thing will stand out, Michelle Monaghan.

This is because she opted for a neon pink Versace Fall 2009 long-sleeved dress, when most others opted for black.

I love the colour, her fresh face, and her clutch. I wouldn’t have picked those black strappy sandals, but she makes them work.

Leighton Meester gave her lighter locks their red carpet debut last night.

The Gossip Girl actress wowed the crowds in a mini slate grey YSL bow back dress. The dress kinda look a tad tight, but I just love the 3 bows fastened across the back.

Her head-to-toe YSL Spring 2009 look was complete with YSL cage ankle boots.

I have the feeling that Heidi Klum is going take maternity chic to another level.

The stylist mum-to-be, wore a black flapper-style Jasmine di Milo fringed dress, which covered her growing baby bump, with black Louboutin’s, and Martin Katz jewels.

Even though Nicollette Sheridan is on trend wearing the much loved Christian Louboutin Differa sandals, why does her look seems so out-dated?

Amanda Bynes has been beamed back to 2007, when it was hot to wear a coral Hervé Léger mini bandage dress, with YSL Tribute sandals.

Geez, even Heidi Montag would frown at this look.

I’m not sure what Kristin Cavallari actually does these days, but she sure made sure she would get some attention wearing a Hervé Léger by Max Azria Spring 2009 multi-coral mini dress.

Christian Louboutin Catenita cork sandals, with a hot pink platform completed the look.

Sophia Bush completes the trio of Hervé Léger dresses on this red carpet, and I can’t help but feel a tiny bit disappointed.

Not because of her Hervé Léger Zebra stripe dress itself, because she looks lovely in it, but because it puts her in the same category as Amanda and Kristin.

Hayden Panettiere’s looks very grown up in her black figure-hugging black pencil dress with cut-outs on the side.

I’m glad she added those bubblegum pink Louboutin’s, otherwise I may have disliked this look.

Winona Ryder makes a very rare appearance on the red carpet, channeling her usual Gothic chic, in a lacey full-skirted black dress.
