Rag & Bone Spring 2009 had the usual mix of masculine pieces in the form of leather waistcoats and jackets with skinny jeans, tailored suits with tapered pants and skinny ties, to feminine pieces in body-con dresses, short skirts and blouses.
The collection had preppy checked shirts, exposed zippers, braces and studded belts. Everything a rock chick would wish for.
A strange combination that worked well was floral trouser with a biker leather.

Charlize Theron was the most high profile guest to attend a show yesterday.
She sat in the front row with her her Director beau Stuart Townsend, wearing a white v-neck tee, under a grey and black trimmed waistcoat, teamed with a pair of charcoal stretch pants and strappy sandals.

Jason Wu Spring 2009 collection was full of very lady like pieces, for the well-groomed woman with a penchant for immaculate details.
The dresses ranged from floaty to fitted, many with embroidered details.
The collection included blazer and a wide array of shorts, which Jason Wu has not shown before, which shows he is growing as a designer, who is in his 6th season.
The colour palette was heavily weighted with pink, as well as white, black and grey.
His red carpet dresses were unfussy, elegant, young and fresh, but blogger TraiT is disappointed by them, as he believes these gowns are similar to the Lanvin Spring 2008 gowns.

Leighton Meester was the guest of honour at this show. The Gossip Girl actress was wearing a Spring 2008 ensemble by the designer, which included a 50s style voluminous black and yellow skirt, with a black top.

BCBG Max Azria Spring 2009 collection was a wearable mixture of Grecian-inspired dresses, draped tops, and sexy evening wear, which resulted in casual elegance.
This very modern, feminine collections colour palette was a mixture of silvers and vibrant jewel tones of orange, pink and teal.
The jumpsuit trend looks set to continue in 2009, as this collection featured a few. One was a wide-leg jumpsuit that was so wide, it looked more like a maxi dress.
Accessories were kept simple.

Jamie-Lynn Sigler was the major star at this show.

Erin Fetherston Spring 2009 collection reminded me of those cute fairy-like dresses I used play dress-up with my Barbie’s.
There were organza gowns with tiered ruffled skirts or ruffled shoulders that reminded me of fluffy clouds, and blue dresses that reminded me of the sky on a clear day.
I loved the multi-pastel patterns on dresses and skirts, and the metallic pieces, which are suitable for evenings out.
Sequins also played a huge part of this collection, appearing on wide-leg pants and skirts.
I can very much picture Rachel Bilson or Daisy Lowe wearing this collection.

Emma Roberts was in the front row wearing a white Erin Fetherston Resort 2009 strapless dress with a feathered detail.
I know gladiator heels are all the rage, but these heels are too heavy for such a delicate dress.

Julie Haus staged her first-ever runway show, and did not disappoint her guests. All the beautiful items had a young, fresh, effortless feel to them.
Prints were heavily featured in the form of heart shapes, zebra stripes, paint strokes and polka dots.
High waisted skirts and shorts were presented alongside bright coloured frocks in yellow, orange, pink and blue.

Leighton was wearing a magenta version of the blue ruffled halter neck dress that was presented during the show.
Usually only stars like Charlize Theron get that kind of treatment. She’s arrived.

Molly Sims posed with the designer wearing a yellow chiffon mini dress, with nude heels.

Jamie-Lynn Sigler maybe the Sophia Bush for 2009 Fashion Week. Two shows and counting.
