Rag & Bone Spring 2009 had the usual mix of masculine pieces in the form of leather waistcoats and jackets with skinny jeans, tailored suits with tapered pants and skinny ties, to feminine pieces in body-con dresses, short skirts and blouses.

The collection had preppy checked shirts, exposed zippers, braces and studded belts. Everything a rock chick would wish for.

A strange combination that worked well was floral trouser with a biker leather.

Charlize Theron was the most high profile guest to attend a show yesterday.

She sat in the front row with her her Director beau Stuart Townsend, wearing a white v-neck tee, under a grey and black trimmed waistcoat, teamed with a pair of charcoal stretch pants and strappy sandals.

Jason Wu Spring 2009 collection was full of very lady like pieces, for the well-groomed woman with a penchant for immaculate details.

The dresses ranged from floaty to fitted, many with embroidered details.

The collection included blazer and a wide array of shorts, which Jason Wu has not shown before, which shows he is growing as a designer, who is in his 6th season.

The colour palette was heavily weighted with pink, as well as white, black and grey.

His red carpet dresses were unfussy, elegant, young and fresh, but blogger TraiT is disappointed by them, as he believes these gowns are similar to the Lanvin Spring 2008 gowns.

Leighton Meester was the guest of honour at this show. The Gossip Girl actress was wearing a Spring 2008 ensemble by the designer, which included a 50s style voluminous black and yellow skirt, with a black top.

BCBG Max Azria Spring 2009 collection was a wearable mixture of Grecian-inspired dresses, draped tops, and sexy evening wear, which resulted in casual elegance.

This very modern, feminine collections colour palette was a mixture of silvers and vibrant jewel tones of orange, pink and teal.

The jumpsuit trend looks set to continue in 2009, as this collection featured a few. One was a wide-leg jumpsuit that was so wide, it looked more like a maxi dress.

Accessories were kept simple.

Jamie-Lynn Sigler was the major star at this show.

Erin Fetherston Spring 2009 collection reminded me of those cute fairy-like dresses I used play dress-up with my Barbie’s.

There were organza gowns with tiered ruffled skirts or ruffled shoulders that reminded me of fluffy clouds, and blue dresses that reminded me of the sky on a clear day.

I loved the multi-pastel patterns on dresses and skirts, and the metallic pieces, which are suitable for evenings out.

Sequins also played a huge part of this collection, appearing on wide-leg pants and skirts.

I can very much picture Rachel Bilson or Daisy Lowe wearing this collection.

Emma Roberts was in the front row wearing a white Erin Fetherston Resort 2009 strapless dress with a feathered detail.

I know gladiator heels are all the rage, but these heels are too heavy for such a delicate dress.

Julie Haus staged her first-ever runway show, and did not disappoint her guests. All the beautiful items had a young, fresh, effortless feel to them.

Prints were heavily featured in the form of heart shapes, zebra stripes, paint strokes and polka dots.

High waisted skirts and shorts were presented alongside bright coloured frocks in yellow, orange, pink and blue.

Leighton was wearing a magenta version of the blue ruffled halter neck dress that was presented during the show.

Usually only stars like Charlize Theron get that kind of treatment. She’s arrived.

Molly Sims posed with the designer wearing a yellow chiffon mini dress, with nude heels.

Jamie-Lynn Sigler maybe the Sophia Bush for 2009 Fashion Week. Two shows and counting.

Worst Fancy Dress Award
Every event I ask the same question.

Why oh why does Lil Mama get invited to these events?

And the question is more urgent here, because this a FASHION event, and she has neither any style nor taste.

Worst Dressed Award
The attention seeker that is Solange Knowles, wore this bold grey Armani Privé Spring 2008 dress with a feathered bolero for one reason and one reason only, to scream LOOK AT ME.

We are looking honey, and we don’t like what we see, as it screams desperation.

What Happened To Your Innocence? Award
Are you as horrified as I am looking at 15 year old Taylor Momsen channeling heroin chic?

I am hating myself for loving her dress, which she accessorizes with Burberry bangles, but the make-up and the look in her eyes turns me cold.

Most Disappointing Award
I really hurts to put Leighton Meester on this list, but I really don’t like the colour combinations on her Missoni Resort 2009 colour-block dress, nor her hairstyle.

What The…? Award
I hate to use the drag queen comparison again to reference Tyra Banks, but in this case it is very apt.

What is with the make-up and that waxed facial expression?

Most Malnourished Award
Lydia Hearst needs to eat a Happy Meal, because girlfriends BMI is definitely under 18.

The cut out only emphasis her tiny frame.

Worst Look Book Award

Fergie is head to toe in the Gucci Fall 2008 collection. The folklore inspired blouse, the belt and the shoes combo, just look like it was picked from Look Book.

I do not feel that Fergie made this her own, as it feels very contrived.

Worst Use of Colour Award
Mary J Blige is hardly ever on my worst dressed list, but on this occasion I will have to say that I really don’t like the colour wash on this blue and white Roberto Cavalli halter-neck gown.

Worst Embellishments Award
Miley Cyrus sheer silver Zuhair Murad sequined mini dress with a matching bodysuit is typically over the top.

Worst Hair/Dress Combo Award
Natasha Bedingfield’s hair is so P!nk, like 5 years ago, and the dress is incredibly unflattering.

Most Underdressed Award
I would guess that Vanessa Carlton does not have a stylist, because no self respecting stylist would allow her to leave her house wearing this grey tank dress, with knee-length tights and booties.

Most Incredibly Boring Award
On such a fashionable night, why did Ana Ortiz choose such a boring plain black dress?

Worst Theme Award
It’s always good as a group to appear united and coordinated. It was a great idea to all dress in sari’s, but it only works on the three from the left, Jessica Sutta, Ashley Roberts and Nicole Scherzinger.

There is too much exposure for this traditional attire, but that is too be expected from PCD.

The Inspiration & Passion of Valentino Garavani Premiere Event, New York

Liv Tyler made sure she stood out in this beautiful orange strapless full skirted Oscar de la Renta dress, with an oversized bow detail on the side.

No doubt when New York Fashion Week starts tomorrow, we will be seeing a lot of model Chanel Iman.

Her black dress is beautifully embellished with embroidered stones and beads, to enable her LBD to have some pizazz.

“Entourage” Season 5 Premiere, New York

Leighton Meester skin and hair are glowing. I love those subtle highlights she has added to her hair

She also opts for a Fendi LBD, with much less fanfare than Chanel Iman’s, but she adds a touch of red to her lips.

We don’t see Carla Cugino on the red carpet much, but she makes a welcome return wearing a green silk taffeta Oscar de la Renta Resort 2009 cocktail dress.

I am so glad she choose red shoes and clutch to compliment the dress, and not boring old safe black.

Jamie-Lynn Sigler wore head to toe black.

Perrey Reeves’ gown seems more fitting to the Emmy Awards, which are upcoming this month.

“The Women” & 10022-Shoe Salon Saks Event, New York

Debi Mazar donned a very business-like grey Alexander McQueen Spring 2008 sheath dress with black crisscross Louboutins.

I love the close up. “HOW MUCH?”

Oh Debra Messing, those nude Christian Louboutin Very Croise sandals are so beautiful that I would hug them too.

The actress looks gorge in her navy silk dress, which is accented with gold buttons and a braided belt.

“Rachel Getting Married” – After Party, Venice

From her two knock out dresses yesterday, Anne Hathaway wore this satin purple one-shouldered Versace Fall 2008 mini dress for her after-party.

The necklace worked better with her first Versace gown, not so much here.

MODEL.LIVE Launch, New York

Becki Newton takes a night off wearing Gucci to wear a navy tie dye dress, with a black leather biker jacket.

I am sure we will be seeing a lot of her this Fashion Week.

“Inspire” Fragrance Launch, New York

Christina Aguilera continues to annoy me with her clothes that also appear to be two sizes too small for her. On this occasion she wore a skin-tight Roberto Cavalli dress and black patent YSL Trib Two Platform Pumps.

As standard her make-up looks very garish, over the top, and suitable for ladies of the night.

Private Practice: The First Season DVD Launch Event, LA

Kate Walsh showed off her long toned legs wearing a strapless pink animal print ruched Jenny Packham Spring 2008 mini dress. She completed her look with tan platform heels.

Leighton Meester wore a raspberry YSL silk dress, which had a tulip skirt.

I love the square neckline, plus the colour of the dress is gorgeous on her, which she compliments with a berry shade of lipstick.

Taylor Momsen is a young girl, so it is only right that she has fun experimenting with different looks, but I don’t think the rock chick/biker chic look, with the heavy make-up, is really for her.

She is wearing Coven pants, and a Doma leather jacket, which she completes with a stunning large jeweled necklace, which is very much on the Fall 2008 statement necklace trend.

Jessica Szohr wore a very summery palm leaf print Jovovich Hawk Spring 2008 dress, with multi-coloured stripped heels.

It is a shame that Jovovich-Hawk has since folded, as they produced some great pieces.

I bet Jessica finds her thick hair a pain, but I would love to have hair as thick as hers.

Nicole Fiscella is becoming quite the fashionista on the red carpet.

On this occasion, the curly haired actress wore a multi-pink Hervé Léger colour accent bandage dress, with pink platform heels.

With her YSL tribute pumps and LBD, Dreama Walker adds a feathered scarf to her ensemble to give it a bit of va va voom.

Kelly Rutherford more than holds her own in the company of her younger cast-mates, wearing a black Mischen Fall 2008 cocktail dress.

There is something very ‘Lindsay Lohan’ about Blake Lively’s all white ensemble, and that’s not a good thing.

For the past few months Blake has looked flawless on the red carpet, but she takes many stride backwards in this get up.

I have never been a fan of white jeans, and then she goes and wears her Whitley Kros jeans with a white sheer ruffled halter-neck vintage Ralph Lauren top, which ties at the waist.

She completes the tragedy with white peep-toes shoes. *shudders*

The only redeeming quality is her bracelet.

Leighton Meester surprisingly does not fair much better in her lemon Giambatisa Valli dress, which is not very flattering to her figure.

15 year old Taylor Momsen looked like she has been borrowing clothes from Miley Cyrus’ closet, as she is wearing a ULTRA short Philosophy Spring 2008 sequined dress.

In fact this dress actually appeared on the runway as a top with a skirt.

She looks cute, but that top is way too short to pass off as a dress.

Jessica Szhor looks fantastic wearing an black and white Balenciaga dress, with sculptured hips.

This edgy dress very much suits her sense of style.

Former model Nicole Fiscella channels her inner Tina Turner in this fringed ombre Foley + Corinna dress, with a very deep plunging neckline.

This has to be my favourite dress of the night.

Leighton Meester and Blake Lively were papped on the set of Gossip Girl in New York last week.

After we saw all their Summer clothes, which they wore whilst filming in the Hamptons, it looks like Leighton’s character Blair Waldorf, is dressing for the Fall.

In this photo Leighton is wearing a dark green Catherine Malandrino belted shirt dress.

I particularly love the pleated detail on the 3/4 length balloon sleeves, and I also prefer the larger buckled belt which Leighton wore.

This dress is available to purchase from Neiman Marcus for only $595.

If like me you are desperately waiting for season 2 to start, here is a sneak peak.
