Red Carpet Fashion Awards

The girls from ‘Glee’ walked the red carpet at the Leonard Goldenson Theatre in North Hollywood yesterday for The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ screening of ‘Glee’.

Lea Michele: For once, Jennifer Lopez Junior didn’t wear an upstaging look. In the past Lea has donned a sexy Versace dress with a thigh-split to these types of events, but on this occasion she wore a casual white Jenni Kayne dress with silver metallic Giambattista Vall Spring 2012 Couture sandals. A simple ponytail completed her look. I have to say I’m shocked.

Jayma Mays: The actress looked super sweet and summery wearing a Dolce & Gabbana yellow floral-print dress. She added a cool breeze to her look with an ocean-blue Judith Leiber clutch and nude Jimmy Choo pumps. I’m loving her flawless makeup and flicked red tresses.

Naya Rivera: This black-and-white dress may be a great look for Naya to show off her toned legs, but I feel like something is missing to stop this look feeling so rigid.

Heather Morris: I have no words for this look. Actually I have one: horrendous.

Lea Michele lent her support to the Jonsson Cancer Center Foundation’s 17th Annual Taste For A Cure Gala, held in Beverly Hills on Friday.

Before heading inside to join her ‘Glee’ co-star Darren Criss for a duet, Lea hit the red carpet in an Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2012 dress.

Her demure dress, which was covered with a black lace overlay with sheer sleeves and an illusion corset top, provided structure before evolving into a full skirt.

Simple black Stella McCartney pumps and an elegant updo complete the look.

How do you feel about Lea’s divaless, more mature look?

Here is a round up some of the celebrity looks from Coachella Music Festival this weekend.

Katy Perry: The singer has finally ditched the blue hair, this time in favour of purple locks. How she still has a full head of hair I will never know. Her Ashish v-neck dress was embellished with a garden of sequined red roses. A Coach crossbody red bag, torn tights and black creepers completed her look. What do you think of the purple hair? I think it’s more workable than blue.

Fergie: The Black Eyed Peas singer is another star who managed to hit all the right style notes with her laidback, effortless festival chic look. Sporting neutral colours she wore a beige maxi dress with a sand fringed vest.. Ankle boots, shades and a beige shoulder bag completed her look. She managed to pick selection of complementary accessories without overwhelming her look. Note to Vanessa Hudgens.

Florence Welch: The one person who was bound to get the dress code oh so right at this event was Florence. This hippie, boho style of dressing is basically her true off-duty style. She wore a Vilshenko Spring 2012 floaty maxi dress which is part paisley print and part floral with a v-neckline. The unexpected addition to her earthy look was a Dolce & Gabbana metallic woven raffia bag.

You guys couldn’t pick a clear BDOTW winner as Emma Stone, Rachel McAdams and Lea Michele were tied with 16% of your votes – our first ever three-way tie.

Here we have three girls, in three different looks.

Emma gave us a different and interesting silhouette at the 2012 SAG Awards wearing Alexander McQueen.

Rachel gave us boho meets surfer chic at the ‘Journey 2: The Mysterious Island’ LA premiere and Lea gave us Jennifer Lopez-esqe divaness as the 2012 SAG Awards.

My vote was clear, Lea.

Some might say it’s easy to look good wearing Atelier Versace, but if you saw her on the red carpet, she werked to make it work.

I knew it. I knew Lea Michele would bring it on the red carpet at the 2012 SAG Awards.

The ‘Glee’ actress loves to stand out, so it’s no wonder she opted for this Atelier Versace Fall 2010 gown.

Her silk-chiffon pale grey one-shoulder gown with a full train and a thigh high split had my chin on the floor.

Yes she was hamming it up on the red carpet and over-posing at times, but wouldn’t you do the same in this stunning gown?

I know I would. The spirit of JLo would take over me, as it did Lea.

The only downside are those grey satin pumps.

If ever a gown needed silver strappy sandals, it was this one.

Lea Michele took to the red carpet for the 2012 Golden Globe Awards this evening.

It should come as no surprise that Lea chose Marchesa for the event.

She wore an antique embroidered illusion dress from the Spring 2012 collection.

The feather-like appliqués is the focus point of this look, before it glides down into a slinky liquid skirt.

Smouldering eye makeup and a messy bun complete the look.
