Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Lea Seydoux wore my favourite look from the Elie Saab Spring 2011 Couture collection to the 2011 Cesar Film Awards in Paris last night.

The young French actress was nominated for Best Young Actress for her role in “Belle Epine.”

She looked breath-taking wearing fully-embroidered black gown, with stone-white lace empire-line bodice which cap sleeves.

Whilst not being keen on the white scarf draped around her arms, she does to justice to this stunning gown.

I had pictured it on someone older like Angelina Jolie or Marion Cotillard, but she as young as she is Lea manages to breathe old Hollywood glamour into this look.

Definitely a BDOTW contender.

Lea Seydoux isn’t a stranger when it comes to wearing Louis Vuitton.

During Cannes Film Festival she wore a dress from Louis Vuitton’s Fall 2010 collection, so it was only natural that she progress onto the Resort 2011 collection during 2010 Venice Film Festival.

For Friday nights “Somewhere” Premiere, she wore a pink sleeveless Louis Vuitton Resort 2011 dress with white trims.

After wondering if Lea was wearing a bra with her dress, my second thought was I wish she’d worn the belt to give her waist more definition.

She accessorized her dress with the Louis Vuitton Fall 2010 bow front heels and a Louis Vuitton mother-of-pearl clutch from the Resort 2011 collection.

It’s official Gucci have taken over Cannes Film Festival this year.

They threw a party yesterday with Vanity Fair honoring Martin Scorsese with many fabulous ladies attending – in Gucci of course.

Jennifer Lopez wore a one-of-a-kind pale grey one shoulder silk Gucci dress with pleated organza and georgette ruffle detail on the shoulder.

Her look was paired with Jimmy Choo ‘Mercury’ silver sandals.

I would’ve liked to have seen her in something more fitted.

Her host Frida Giannini wore one of my favourite dresses of this event.

She wore a self designed a one-of-a-kind Gucci grey halterneck dress with cutaway shoulder neckline, metal beaded embroidery and mirrored geometric stone detailed neckline.

Lea Seydoux has come a long way from her first red Cannes red carpet appearance at the Robin Hood premiere.

I love her in this one-of-a-kind strapless dark green pleated chiffon Gucci gown with horizontal drape detail on the bust and empire waistline.

Definitely one to watch.

Salma Hayek continues to wear nothing but Gucci during Cannes Film Festival, as she opted for a one-of-a-kind bronze paillette Gucci cap sleeved dress with a deep v-neck to show of her famous assets.

Naomi Watts opted for a sexy Gucci black sequined dress with an open back.

Camilla Belle shows why she is at Cannes Film Festival – to look pretty.

The actress was beyond gorgeous opting for a one-of-a-kind off the shoulder Gucci dress encrusted with gunmetal Swarovski stones, beads and sequins.

Gucci grey was obviously the colour of the night.

Gucci ruled the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival premiere of “Il Gattopardo”.

Camilla Belle and Kate Beckinsale are joined by Aishwarya Rai, Salma Hayek, Lea Seydoux and designer Frida Giannini all wearing Gucci.

Aishwarya wore a one of a kind Gucci magenta pleated chiffon gown.

In comparison to the her other looks, this twisted halter neck gown has been the most flattering to her figure.

Salma wears her second Gucci Première gown of this festival.

On this occasion she opted for a fiery red one shoulder gown with sweeping drape detail across the waist and hip.

The gown dazzles with red bugle beaded embroidered detail.

I like this gown, but her previous gown was far superior.

Lea Seydoux wore a Gucci Première champagne charmeause column gown with cut out sleeves.

The bodice is encrusted with silver and gold metallic beading.

Frida’s sparkled most brightly wearing a silver Gucci Première gown paired with Gucci fine jewelry.

Aishwarya is the most fabulous here.

French actress Lea Seydoux arrived on the red carpet for the “On Tour” this evening during Cannes Film Festival.

She opted for a Louis Vuitton Fall 2010 dress with a black velvet belt.

These dresses are meant to give the wearer a pear-like shape as it’s all about accentuating a real woman’s figure hence the cast of models for this presentation.

Unfortunately Lea doesn’t quite sell this look to me.

I think that’s because I much prefer the nude runway heels to her black knotted Louboutin’s.
