Red Carpet Fashion Awards

2009 VH1 Divas

For the love of god, can someone PLEASE, Please, please help this girl.

Even if you take her to Topshop, just so she can see what girls her age wear.

What the fudge is she wearing?

The runway version of her Dsquared² Fall 2009 was not hiked up to the thigh displaying fish-net tights.

There is no need for all the modifications.

When Selena Gomez is getting it so right, Miley gets it so very wrong.

Another red carpet event, and another missed opportunity for Whitney Port to promote her own Spring 2010 collection.

This time the designer opts for a La Perla Spring 2009 black chiffon dress with nude underlay and jeweled shoulder detail. *shudders*

What was she thinking?

Hopefully not that this is a good look, because she would be wrong.

Finally a Kelly Clarkson look I really love.

The singer wore a stunning black velvet one shoulder David Meister gown with feather corsage.

Everything works.

It looks like Whitney Port can’t even get her BFF to wear her Spring 2010 collection, which is not fair as Whitney wore Lauren Conrad Collection several times.

Lauren Conrad wore a green sequined Alice + Olivia dress paired with black satin peep-toes.

I do like this look, surprisingly it’s not boring.

Jennifer Hudson proudly shows off her post-baby figure wearing a figure hugging metallic dress with thigh-high boots.

Love Leona Lewis’ lilac off-the-shoulder Halston gown, but I absolutely hate the black Vivienne Westwood corset.

So unnecessary and makes this a waste of a stunning gown.

Jordin Sparks’ dress lack any.

Sparks that is.

Sheryl Crow opted for a red satin Dolce & Gabbana dress with black tulle overlay with a black waistband.

We normally see more colour or a rocker look from Sheryl, so this is a refreshing change.

“Goin’ to the chapel and we’re gonna get married”.

Toni Braxton’s white gown is too bridal for my tastes.

TV personality Kim Zolciak gets herself notice wearing a Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 dress as worn by Madonna.

UK singer Adele wore a black Barbara Tfank dress which had gold ribbon embroidery.

Worst Dressed Award
Amber Rose wore a snake-print long sleeved jumpsuit.

Enough said.

Most Predictable Award
After sitting front row at the Herve Leger show earlier this afternoon in a pink Herve Leger dress, Amanda Bynes doesn’t let us down.

LBD + Trib Two’s = yawwwwnnnnnn.

Most Ill-Fitting Award
Beyonce Knowles is wearing a pretty dress, but the skirt looks way too tight. The detail on the front is only adding to this problem.

What is it with Britney and Beyonce and this need to wear clothes that just don’t flatter.

Worst Brand Ambassador Award
I know Christopher Kane is really hot right now as we’ve seen similar versions of this black tulle skirt with velvet spiral trim in the past week. But shouldn’t Whitney have used this opportunity to promote her own debut collection she presented just 2 days ago?

Just asking.

It’s Lauren Conrad Collection all over again.

I Tried To Love It, But I Can’t Award
I didn’t like this Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 dress the first time we saw it on the red carpet, and Jennifer Lopez does nothing to change my mind.

I love that she’s not being predictable, but I’ve never liked this dress.

The singer pairs her dress with Christian Louboutin peep-toe lace ankle boots, with a leopard print heel.

Oh The Irony Award
Ashley Greene was the fashion correspondent for the night, which I found totally ironic considering how bad I thought she looked.

She arrived wearing this D&G gold skirt and a black strappy corset with ruffled edges, but later changed into a worse red skirt which bunched up like Beyonce’s.

I also really hated her gold skirt white clutch combo.

Ashley has to be the worst fashion correspondent ever, as she only asked Taylor Lautner what he was wearing despite interviewing Jennifer Lopez and Leighton Meester.

Worst Hair Award
Why do I always get a sense that Lauren Conrad just isn’t trying?

The dress is pretty if you like middle of the road on the red carpet, but the hair is just atrocious.  It ages her dramatically.

Worst Balmain Award
Despite us all laughing at Pink and Shakira’s expense for wearing the same Balmain dress on the red carpet tonight, Pink didn’t do this dress any justice.

For me it makes her look even more boxy.

I’m sure many of you will see these pictures of Lauren Conrad matching her tan Miu Miu Double Cross platform sandals with her Marc by Marc Jacobs Dr Q Remy Handbag, and think of two items in your closet that you constant match.

I always match my tan Chloe heels to a tan vintage bag, and my taupe H&M bag with my taupe Nine West open-toe heels. Some things just work well together like Batman and Robin.

Lauren has paired this combo whilst wearing a Kimchi Blue floral playsuit whilst shopping at Barney’s with BFF Lo Bosworth.

She went for a very sophisticated look wearing an ivory blouse and navy skirt whilst headed to Mr. Chow’s for lunch.

And my favourite look was her cute French Connection floral dress worn with her combo whilst strolling in Beverly Hills.

Last week Lauren Conrad appeared on “The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien” as she continued to promote her new novel “L.A. Candy,” the first of a three-book series would you believe.

I’m a huge fan of Luisa Beccaria beautiful creations and I would like to see them more on the red carpet, so I was happy to see LC wearing this gold/blue ombre Luisa Beccaria Fall 2009 lurex jacquard dress with a nude pair of Miu Miu Plisse pumps.

Her dress was shorten giving the skirt a bell-shape which I love.

Her hair was pulled back and accessories were kept to simple gold jewelery including a ring, earrings, and some bracelets.

I love this look.

Hopings Got Talent Fundraising Event, London

Lily Allen looked outstanding wearing a prom-esqe red Prada dress, teamed with taupe Fendi bow-front peep-toes, and a blue quilted Chanel bag. One of many that she owns.

Her make-up was flawless, I love the a pop red on her lips, and I adore her neat black bob.

Surprisingly well put together.

Sienna Miller tried her hand at a glam rock chick look by teaming a studded Temperley London cropped jacket, a studded vest and a studded Temperley London belt with faded black skinny jeans and studded ankle boots.

I glad Sienna has managed wear a casual look that doesn’t include a hint of boho, but she has over done things with the studded details. At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if she was wearing studded pants.

Her look was completed with a Romanek crocodile clutch.

“Public Enemies” Chicago Premiere

French actress Marion Cotillard wore a very summery lilac strapless Christian Dior dress which she paired with silver open-toe heels and a double buckle belt.

A curly opdo and a brown clutch completed this stunning look.

Sam Fine’s “The Basics of Beauty” DVD Launch Party, New York

Without a single hair out of place Iman stepped a little out of her comfort-zone of glamorous gowns and tea dresses, to wear this black shimmering Derek Lam Spring 2009 jumpsuit with harem pants.

Divine as always.

2009 Los Angeles Film Festival’s Opening Night Premiere Of “Paper Man”

Christina Ricci kept her look simple wearing a purple dress with a black elasticated waist.

White pointy pumps and a quilted Chanel bag completed the look, but Christina opted out of wearing a bra.

Grand Opening Of The New BOA Steakhouse In West Hollywood, LA

Looking fabulous is really easy for Terri Seymour as the former model has a stunning figure.

Whether she’s wearing a designer gown or this strapless floral Topshop dress, it’s almost impossible for her to have an off day.

She completed her look with YSL Trib Two slingbacks.

8th Annual Four Seasons Of Hope Gala, New York

I feels like something is missing from Estelle’s Rachel Roy Pre-Fall 2009 black jumpsuit.

She has a pop of colour via the purple pumps, but I’m still missing something.

Barnes & Noble Book Signing, New York

Lauren Conrad opts for a cute casual style for her New York book signing at Barnes & Noble.

The star wore a very similar look to her last book signing.  Her she wore a loose fitting black and white top with black shorts and black Christian Louboutin pumps.

Wavy hair, a single bracelet and a megawatt smile completed the look.

Lauren Conrad is currently doing the rounds promoting her new book, and yesterday she was on “The View”.

She revealed that an apology from Spencer Pratt over spreading false sex tape rumors about her was faked.

What???? The Hills is faked??? Say it ain’t so.

This really shouldn’t surprise anyone, but what does surprise me is how much I’m liking what Lauren Conrad is wearing these days.

On show the show she looked very elegant wearing a navy satin sleeveless Laila Azhar ruffled square neck dress with a nude pair of Miu Miu Plisse pumps.

I love the ruffled neckline, which we see half of as Lauren swept her hair over one shoulder.

The dress is currently available from Shopbop.com for $416.
