2017 Humane Society Gala

The Humane Society’s annual ‘To the Rescue!’ gala was held on Saturday (April 22) in LA, with a group of animal-loving stars in attendance.

Laura Vandervoort: The epitome of chic, Laura showed off the glories of the LBD’s counterpart, the little white dress, in this Rhea Costa Pre-Fall 2017 design. I love the subtle drama of the split sleeves and how she frosted the minimalist look with the sophisticated flash of accessories including an embellished bronze Kate Spade New York clutch and Bionda Castana metallic shoes.

Elizabeth Banks: Girly springtime flair was alive and well in this pointillist pink Fendi dress styled with complementary Prada shoes. The racing stripes down the front and sides added a welcome edge to the sweetness of the ruffle skirt, keeping the look from going too sugary.

Rooney Mara: This Burberry Spring 2017 ensemble paired ladylike, doily lace with a menswear-inspired dress shirt. But, despite the fresh, creamy-white hue, the look not only seemed ill-fitted but also a bit drab and ageing on Rooney.

Comic-Con 2015 Red Carpet Roundup

Comic Con

Here is a roundup of some of the other events which took place last night (July 9) during Comic-Con 2015 in San Diego.

Ashley Benson: I can’t say I’m a huge fan of Ashley’s style, but I simply adore this sweet offering from Valentino. While the look may have benefited from her hair being pulled back, I love the simple styling which included Aldo sandals.

Willow Shields: Joining Jennifer Lawrence for the Lionsgate press panel to present ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2′, the young actress wore a House of Holland cross over dress typically playful thanks to its bold blue and purple contrasting plaid panels.

Holland Roden: Back stateside after a short jaunt to Paris, the ‘Teen Wolf’ star attended the FOX International Studios’ Comic-Con Party. I love how the bold stripes and florals enhance the classic A-line silhouette of her Kate Spade New York ensemble.

Laura Vandervoort In Elisabetta Franchi – 41st Annual Saturn Awards

Laura Vandervoort In Elisabetta Franchi - 41st Annual Saturn Awards

Laura Vandervoort attended the 41st Annual Saturn Awards at The Castaway on Thursday (June 25) in Burbank, California.

I love how she took cropped styling up a notch with this Elisabetta Franchi top featuring an open back for a subtly fearless edge and a decorative neckline which grants a luxe touch to this outstanding two-piece.

Styled with Stuart Weitzman sandals and a white Rauwolf clutch, this is the most refreshing summery look I’ve seen all week.

I shouldn’t be surprised really, as Laura consistently nails each of her red carpet looks.

Humane Society Benefit Gala

Humane Society Benefit Gala

A group of beauties were in attendance at the Humane Society Benefit Gala, hosted on Saturday (May 16) at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

Crystal Reed: Those with a craving for colour will have their fill in Crystal’s neon lime-green Rubin Singer Resort 2015 asymmetrically sculpted lace gown that was striking against her dark locks.

Laura Vandervoort: The bold hues continued in this cerulean-blue Tony Ward Couture embroidered gown worn with a matching Amanda Pearl clutch and a vibrant ruby-red lip. The dress actually seemed a bit big for the actress and could have benefited from a touch of additional shaping from the waist down.

Emma Fuhrmann: A final shot of colour was featured in Emma’s LUBLU Kira Plastinina gown, emboldened by hot pink and chartreuse panels. The Amanda Pearl beige clutch was a miss, as was the hair which would have made for a sleeker statement in a modern updo.

Giuseppe Zanotti Beverly Hills Store Opening

Giuseppe Zanotti Beverly Hills Store Opening

Giuseppe Zanotti has long been a celebrity favourite, so stars were out in force to help the Italian designer celebrate the opening of his newest Beverly Hills store on Tuesday (April 14) in Beverly Hills, California.

Beyonce Knowles: Queen B was in the house looking gorgeous, wearing a Bec & Bridge sultry outfit amped up by her studded Zanotti shoes. I’m sure many would disagree with me, but I love the hat.

Naya Rivera: The pregnant ‘Glee’ star dressed her burgeoning bump wearing a Tamara Mellon chiffon halter dress, styled with a silver Giuseppe Zanotti clutch and shoes, with Neil Lane studs lighting up her lobes. I have to say I am surprised by her maternity style. It’s a lot more refined than I had expected, with all due respect.

Laura Vandervoort: I love Laura’s style. She slays every time and never disappoints. She always looks so elegant, oozing with superstar appeal. I would wear this sharply tailored Philip Armstrong modern outfit in a heartbeat. I always liken her to a young Charlize Theron.

Laura Vandervoort In Sachin & Babi & Amen – Entertainment One (eOne) Toasts 2014 Film Slate At TIFF

Laura Vandervoort In Babi & Amen - Entertainment One (eOne) Toasts 2014 Film Slate At TIFF

Laura Vandervoort attended a toast to the 2014 Film Slate, hosted by Entertainment One (eOne) during the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival at Moss Park Armoury in Toronto, Canada on Sunday (September 7).

The actress stunned in a Sachin + Babi and Amen ensemble, consisting of a white halter cropped top and a high-waist navy pencil skirt, which she accessorized simply with earring studs and a Melissa Love cuff.

Although the look was straightforward, the fit was impeccable and the striking impact was undeniable—especially with the pop of her bright goldenrod Ashlynd clutch. I will even give a pass to the white Celeb Boutique pumps.

This is a great look from Laura, right down to her flawless beauty, of which her smokey teal-blue eye echoed the skirt and her casual waves added an effortlessly pretty touch.

Top to toe, I’m a fan. Do you agree?
