Laura Carmichael In Christopher Kane – Scottish Fashion Awards 2013

Laura Carmichael In Christopher Kane - Scottish Fashion Awards 2013

Laura Carmichael was a long way from ‘Downton Abbey’ when taking to the red carpet for the Scottish Fashion Invasion of London at the 8th Annual Scottish Fashion Awards held at Dover House in London yesterday evening.

The actress, who was seated front row at Christopher Kane’s Spring 2014 London Fashion Week show last month, donned a burgundy risqué motif macramé-lace long-sleeved dress from the designer’s Fall 2013 collection.

On some this may not have worked so well, but I love the edgy elegant feeling I get from this look.

She didn’t try too hard with the styling, adding an animal-print clutch and booties accented with feathers, both from Kane’s Fall 2013 collection.

PBS History’s ‘Downton Abbey’ Season 4 Photocall

PBS History's 'Downton Abbey' Season 4 Photocall

The cast of ‘Downton Abbey’ attended a photocall hosted by PBS History for Season 4 held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in California yesterday afternoon.

Michelle Dockery: Opting for chic separates, Michelle wore a black-and-beige Elie Saab Resort 2013 short set with a black Ann Taylor top. She styled her look with Jean-Michel Cazabat ‘Ella’ black pumps, adding a pop of colour via her red lips.

Laura Carmichael: Admittedly, Laura rarely catches my eye; however, I was charmed by her whimsical Moschino Cheap and Chic black mini dress trimmed with an ivory satin box-pleat ‘piano keys’ accented hemline.

Joanne Froggatt: Sporting blonde, beachy, wavy tresses, the British actress, who has always been a fan of prints and colour, wore a Camilla & Marc Fall 2013 look. Her black top with a cobalt-blue trim was tucked into a dual-print blue-and-berry flounced skirt, to which she opted not to add the belt it was presented with. Her simple styling included silver bracelets and black pumps. Should she have kept the belt?

Sophie McShera: Looking delighted to be out of her 1920s maid outfit, the young actress wore a pretty floral Zara frock with an ultimate ladylike fit. This elegant dress is right on trend, with nude pumps and a orange-red lip colour completing the effortless styling.

The Evian ‘Live Young’ Suite At Wimbledon

The Evian 'Live Young' Suite At Wimbledon

It’s the first day of the Wimbledon Championships and, despite there not being a single ray of sunshine in SW19, these lovely ladies dressed for the summer season.

Mollie King: I know many of you have asked me to blacklist The Saturdays, but I couldn’t help but feel inspired by Mollie King’s outfit. The singer wore a pretty Oasis Botanical Iris jacket and matching Oasis Botanical Iris shorts with a solid white shirt, accessorizing with nude pumps. I love how even her Evian lanyard works with her look.

Laura Carmichael: The ‘Downton Abbey’ star swapped her ‘20s garb for this charming Erdem button-down printed dress with an electrifying pink-and-blue floral print styled with black sandals.

Naomi Campbell: Who knew Nay Nay liked tennis? The supermodel was in very good spirits, shunning her usual all-black for a light-blue fitted frock styled with a black suede studded jacket.

Laura Carmichael In Christopher Kane – Veuve Clicqout Gold Cup Polo Final

Laura Carmichael, better known as Lady Edith from ‘Downton Abbey’, attended the Veuve Clicqout Gold Cup Polo Final at Cowdray Park Polo Club in Midhurst, England, on Sunday afternoon.

The actress stood out against the yellow backdrop wearing a colourful dress from the Christopher Kane Resort 2013 collection.

Her sheer hem sleeveless dress with a cinched-in waist was styled with a black printed leather motorcycle jacket which features a quilted detail on the shoulders.

It’s hard to tell if the addition of the jacket is a style statement or a necessity with the gloomy weather we are having in the UK.

An additional pop of colour came via her cobalt-blue Christopher Kane sandals.
