Lola Kirke In Altuzarra & Andrew Gn – W Magazine’s It Girls Party & 2017 Golden Globe Awards

Lola Kirke managed to make both a fashion statement and a political statement when she attended the W Magazine’s It Girls with Stuart Weitzman at A.O.C on Saturday (January 7) and the 2017 Golden Globe Awards at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday (January 8) with her smallest yet loudest accessory: a small pink button pin reading ‘F**k Paul Ryan.’

W’s It Girls Party: The ‘Mozart in the Jungle’ star wore a lilac Altuzarra shirred top and layered skirt that didn’t exactly flatter her shape as it should have.

Golden Globe Awards: Spring was in the air once Lola arrived on the red carpet with her Andrew Gn sweetheart ball gown strewn in pansy flowers.

Gina Rodriguez In Jill Stuart & Naeem Khan – 2017 Golden Globe Awards

Gina Rodriguez got the Golden Globes party started early at the 2nd annual Moet Moment Film Festival and Kick Off of Golden Globes Week on January 5 in West Hollywood, California before attending the 2017 Golden Globe Awards on January 8 at The Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Golden Globes Kick Off: Well, this Jill Stuart sweater and miniskirt combo certainly put a sexy new twist on the typically conservative turtleneck. With peek-a-boo cutouts throughout the top, it left little to the imagination. The look was styled with Giuseppe Zanotti pointy toe pumps.

2017 Golden Globe Awards: Going from black to white, skin was again in for this Globe-nominated ‘Jane the Virgin’ star who took to the red carpet in a Naeem Khan plunge gown dripping with sequin fringe.

Caitriona Balfe In Salvatore Ferragamo, Delpozo & Maria Lucia Hohan – BAFTA Tea Party & 2017 Golden Globe Awards

Caitriona Balfe was also at the BAFTA Tea Party at the Four Seasons Hotel on January 7 before attending the 2017 Golden Globe Awards and the Globes Post Party at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on January 8.

BAFTA Tea Party: Keeping it simple, Caitriona wore a Salvatore Ferragamo black dress with teamed with Salvatore Ferragamo emerald green and black suede strappy sandals that kept this look from being too plain Jane.

2017 Golden Globe Awards: Nominated for her role on ‘Outlander,’ the actress was one of my favourites at the Golden Globes. Amidst the madness of sequins and sheer not to mention eye-popping hues and daring plunges, this Delpozo Pre-Fall 2017 colour-blocked gown stood out simply by virtue of its seductive subtlety. The bold navy and melon hues were delicious and the folded draped of the brooch-pinned waistline contributed to the captivatingly chic quality of the design.

Golden Globes Party: Plunge and plisse pleating shows up yet again in this Maria Lucia Hohan metallic gown, except here the effect registers as a bit dull and even dated which was due in part to the styling. However, this look had tall heels to fill after her Delpozo entrance, so it shall be forgiven for not quite making the cut.

Amy Adams In Dolce & Gabbana & Tom Ford – BAFTA Tea Party & 2017 Golden Globe Awards

Amy Adams made an appearance at the BAFTA Tea Party at the Four Seasons Hotel on January 7 before attending the 2017 Golden Globe Awards at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on January 8, where she was nominated for Best Actress for her role in ‘Arrival.’

BAFTA Tea Party: The actress wore a sophisticated twist on an LBD by Dolce & Gabbana that featured the added impact of a sheer lace inset neckline. I applaud her skipping the standard black pump, but the baby-pink version has left me in limbo as to what to make of them. They wouldn’t have been my first or second choice as they almost looked white.

Golden Globe Awards: Perhaps she was channeling her sci-fi film, ‘Arrival,’ with this dark-sequined Tom Ford gown which had somewhat of a futuristic touch in the sculpted bodice and slinky, reflective silhouette.

Natalie Portman In Christian Dior – 2017 Golden Globe Awards

Natalie Portman joined the list of nominees at the 2017 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 8) at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in California.

The ‘Jackie’ actress has been receiving much praise for her uncanny resemblance to Jackie Kennedy in the biopic. And, she was certainly in a Jackie O mood for the Globes, as it was clear that she was channeling the style icon on the red carpet—even with her maternity look.

Opting to not wear her go-to designer, Christian Dior, she instead donned a canary-yellow Prada long-sleeve gown that brought a sense of ’60s-influenced vintage elegance. The jewels played beautifully with the jewel-encrusted detailing on the dress.

Even Natalie’s teased bouffant-inspired ’do reflected the retro mood.
