Kristin Scott Thomas In Christian Dior Couture – 2018 BAFTAs

Ever the regal lady, Kristin Scott Thomas stepped out at the 2018 BAFTAs on Sunday (February 18) in London, England, alongside Naomie Harris, Haley Bennett and Angelina Jolie.

The star, who is nominated in the Best Actress in a Supporting Role category for her work in ‘Darkest Hour,’ was a vision in a Christian Dior Spring 2018 Couture ensemble.

The flowing style demonstrated the impact of a pared-back colour palette, with the slashes of white creating a flattering lengthening effect.

The vertical stripes also drew our attention to her face.

She completed the look with a Time’s Up pin affixed to her chest.

EE British Academy Film Awards Nominees Party Red Carpet Roundup

There was no shortage of exciting looks at the EE British Academy Film Awards nominees party at Kensington Palace on Saturday (February 17) in London, England.

Karen Gillan: The ‘Doctor Who’ actress shimmered in a Temperley London gown. Despite the all-black colour palette, this feels like a few different dresses in one look. It’s too bad that the tulle skirt gives the appearance of weighing down the top part.

Allison Janney: The Best Actress in a Supporting Role nominee ditched the gown in favour of an August Getty trench dress. The gray number had a marvelous lengthening effect which showcased her statuesque beauty. It was beautifully cut and as sophisticated as any dress. If I must find fault, I wish the sleeves were shortened to eliminate the bunching. Nine West shoes, a Judith Leiber clutch and Maxior tourmeline earrings added more pizzazz.

Kristin Scott Thomas: Another Best Actress in a Supporting Role nominee, the beauty turned heads in a Valentino dress. The dragon-inspired design nods to Chinese New Year and projects a joyful opulence. The style hails from the same Pre-Fall 2018 collection as Greta Gerwig’s gown.

Kristin Scott Thomas In Valentino – London Evening Standard British Film Awards 2018

Dame Kristin Scott Thomas attended a drinks reception at the London Evening Standard British Film Awards held at Claridge’s Hotel on Thursday (February 8) in London.

Valentino Garavani made red the signature shade of his house, and a decade after his retirement (I can’t believe it’s been that long), current Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli continues to pay homage to the hue in quite spectacular fashion.

What really garners my interest here is the construction of this gown. You’re going to think I’m crazy, but I love how the hem meets the floor at the perfect point. My biggest bug bear are tailored dresses like this which crumple on the floor.

I’m always fascinated by the finer details when it comes to fashion and Kristin’s simple and elegant dress is quite a masterpiece.

Kristin Scott Thomas In Christian Dior – ‘Darkest Hour’ London Premiere

Kristin Scott Thomas joined Lily James at the’Darkest Hour’ London premiere on Monday (December 11).

The actress bundled up in a Christian Dior Fall 2017 ensemble which befitted the chilly temperatures at the Odeon Leicester Square.

I loved how the runway version presents a youthful edge while Kristin’s has a refined elegance from the long layers.

My inclination is that her look would have benefited from a bit of streamlined tailoring, especially in the sleeves.

Small touches aside, this plays into her wheelhouse beautifully and will leave a stronger impression than any old gown.

Kristin Scott Thomas In Bottega Veneta – ‘Darkest Hour’ New York Premiere

Kristin Scott Thomas made a return to the red carpet for the ‘Darkest Hour’ New York premiere on Wednesday (November 15).

Elegance is word we always associate when it comes to Kristin’s style and that was most definitely the case with her Bottega Veneta Fall 2017 dress.

Infused with velvet detailing for the most intriguing contrast, this black LBD makes quite a dramatic statement.

Kristin Scott Thomas In Vanessa Seward – ‘The Party’ London Film Festival Premiere

Kristin Scott Thomas exuded sophistication at ‘The Party’ London Film Festival premiere on Tuesday (October 10).

Forgoing a gown, the actress wore a Vanessa Seward Fall 2017 ensemble which mixed long, tailored layers. A winter white roll neck was dressed up by a diamond-patterned ankle-length skirt. A mustard overcoat literally topped off the look as it was draped over Kristin’s shoulders.

Black heels with embellishment on the toes provided further appeal.

There are many stunning gowns worthy of admiration, but this layered style proves that dresses certainly aren’t the only red carpet option. Were you enamoured with the outfit?

Kristin Scott Thomas In Christian Dior Couture – Cannes Film Festival 70th Anniversary Celebration

Following her dramatic pink gown from yesterday evening, Kristin Scott Thomas toned things down for the 70th anniversary Cannes Film Festival celebration this evening (May 23).

If you’ve been looking for something non-princess-like, you might want to look away now.

The colour perfectly complements her pale English rose complexion, but the shape falls flat and does nothing for her.

Cannes isn’t exactly known for its subtlety, so I feel her accessory choices could have been bolder.

Subtle yes, but forgettable.
