2010 ShoWest – Kristin Davis In Oscar de la Renta

Kristen Davis joined her “Sex And The City” co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker who wore Lanvin and Marchesa and Cynthia Nixon on the red carpet yesterday during Showest in Las Vegas.

The stars were there sans Kim Cattrall to promote the 2nd Sex And The City movie.

Kristen wore two Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2010 looks.

The first was a beautiful black floral printed dress trimmed with lace trim.

This dress was paired with a black Jimmy Choo clutch and black patent peep-toes.

I’m loving everything about this look excluding the cuff.

The cuff feels so out of place from her ‘Ladies Who Lunch’ look.

Kristen’s second Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2010 look was a LBD with a very familiar silhouette which complements her figure.

This is why we often see her wearing dresses by the designer, as Oscar creates dresses for real women with hips.

She paired her dress with a different pair of peep-toe heels, but thankfully lost the cuff.

This is my favourite look of the two.

Social Events Of The Week

“It’s On With Alexa Chung” Show, New York

Hayden Panettiere is doing the round promoting her new movie “I Love You, Beth Cooper”.

The actress looked adorable wearing an pink Elizabeth and James minidress with blouson sleeves, whilst accessorizing with black Guissepe Zanotti open-toe booties, and a purple Nancy Gonzalez clutch.

She’s like a breathe of fresh air on a warm sunny day.   I love this look.

Wimbledon Winners Party 2009, London

This has to be one of Serena Williams’ best ever looks.

The Wimbledon champion opted out of wearing something by Ralph Lauren – one of the sponsors – which is usually Venus’ choice when she attends this winners party.

Instead she wore this sexy black tulle D&G gown.

Love the dress, but those pearls a tad much.  The jeweled necklace would have been plenty.

Vitamin Water Event, Sydney

Kristen Davis was in Sydney to support friend Russell James at the opening of his Nudes photography exhibition.

She made sure she was pretty as a picture wearing an eye-popping bright blue strapless dress, which she teamed with a black tiered necklace, a sparkly mini clutch and black Christian Louboutin heels.

Again the necklace is too much for me.

“Late Show With David Letterman”, New York

Hayden Panettiere showed off her sexy side on Monday wearing a Caroline Seikaly revealing sheer lace dress with a black opaque underlay – thankfully – in all the right places.

With her sexy tousled updo she teamed her daring dress with black Stuart Weitzman gladiator sandals and chunky House of Lavande rings.

I’m loving the first look more to this racy lacy look.

Runway To “Chocolat au Vin Benefit” – Kristin Davis In Oscar de la Renta

This is the first time in a long time, I’ve looked at Kristin Davis and not seen ‘Charlotte York’.

Kristin’s red carpet style always consists of cute 50s style dresses with full skirts, which flattered her pear shaped figure, and was very typical of her Sex and The City character.

Last night at the “Chocolat au Vin” benefit for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in New York, she gave us something new.

She gave us this gorgeous black sequined Oscar de la Renta strapless dress, with white embroidered details, and a feathered skirt.

The star carried a black clutch, wore silver earrings, adorned her wrist with a small silver bracelet, and left the rest of her accessories at home. A dress like this can stand alone.

For once Kristin’s look feel less vintage-inspired, and more modern and glamourous.

1st Historic Health Summit Gala

Jessica Alba looked heavenly in her white satin shift dress, with a delicate ruffled detail cascading down the front. She is in cinched at the waist with a black belt, in this event appropriate dress.

The lighter hair really works for her.

As gorgeous as Kristin Davis’ Oscar de la Renta Spring 2009 lace gown dress is. I don’t think it’s particularly flattering for her.

She has a great figure, but this gown isn’t doing it justice. Maybe a belt would have helped.

She kept her accessories to an absolute minimum, only carrying a black clutch.

Paris Hilton went for pure and demure wearing a white strapless pencil Luca Luca dress. It didn’t have the same wow factor as Jessica Alba’s LWD, but she does look elegant and sophisticated.

She paired her look with metallic gold heels, and a collection of retro-inspired statement jewelery.

I love that necklace.

Maggie Grace wore a Moschino Cheap and Chic Pre-Fall 2009 black and white silk dot brocade dress with a cowl neck.

She opted out of wearing black pumps, choosing burgundy point pumps instead.

The look is perfectly completed with a gorgeous beaded hair accessory.

Sarah Brown, the wife of British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, wearing a chocolate brown belted dress, stood alongside model Naomi Campbell who wore head-to-toe black.

I don’t know about you, but I’m preferring what Sarah is wearing over Naomi.

11th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards

It has been a very long while since we saw Luca Luca on the red carpet, which is surprising because he makes such great pieces.

Emmanuelle Chriqui wore a white gown from the Resort 2009 collection, which was off-the-shoulder, but also had a silver halter strap.

Melissa George opted for an ethereal Emanuel Ungaro Resort 2009 off-the-shoulder gown.

Kristin Davis was wearing an adorable red Donna Karan dress.

I love Kristin, but we seem to see this full-skirted look on her a lot.

She completed her look with Christian Louboutin peep-toes, and a Swarovski clutch.

Tichina Arnold has been making a lot of right choices lately. I adore this pink sleeveless gown.

This is a very chic, and sophisticate choice for the actress.

Taraji P. Henson wore this smoky blue one-shouldered Michael Kors gown, with fan shaped Mary Norton clutch.

Hair and make-up are flawless as usual.

Jennie Garth went for a retro vibe wearing a gold shimmering Tadashi plunging gown.
