Kristin Wiig In Valentino – ‘The Spoils Of Babylon’ LA Premiere

Kristin Wiig In Valentino - 'The Spoils Of Babylon' LA Premiere

Kristen Wiig attended the screening of ‘The Spoils Of Babylon’ held at DGA Theater on Tuesday (January 7) in Los Angeles, California.

The actress wore a Valentino arabesque long-sleeved sheer tulle dress with a bambolina skirt from the Spring 2014 collection.

While I love that Kristen opted for such a bold design, which is somewhat out of her comfort zone, I’m not too enamoured by the leg-stumpifying Casadei shoes. They don’t really complement the exotic nature of the dress.

Overall, this isn’t my favourite look from Kristen; she has done and can do better.

Kristen Wiig In Michael Kors – ‘The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty’ New York Screening

Kristen Wiig In Michael Kors – ‘The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty’ New York Screening2

Kristen Wiig attended the ‘The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty’ screening on Wednesday (December 18) in New York City.

Keeping up the masculine trend kick-started by Kim Basinger earlier in the week, Kristen wore a Michael Kors look featuring a white shirt with leg-of-mutton sleeves, sleek black pants and the brand’s signature oversized black bow.

Dark-grey Christian Louboutin ‘Iriza’ pumps – designed with a pointed toe and cut-out sides for an alluring feminine shape – and a selection of House of Lavande rings accessorized her look.

Considering the bow, perhaps her hair up would’ve been ideal, but it doesn’t detract too much from her look.

Do you like Kristen’s feminine take on the menswear trend?

Kristen Wiig’s ‘Wake Up’ Eye Makeup Trick

Anchorman 2 Premiere, Sponsored By Buffalo David BittonThroughout her ‘The Secret Life of Walter Mitty’ press tour, actress Kristen Wiig has been taking fashion risk after fashion risk, but has kept her hair and makeup simple. Things were no different last night at the New York City premiere of the film.

Kristen’s makeup was quite simple, and she employed two of the best tricks in the book to help widen your eyes and make yourself look more awake.

Considering she’s been globetrotting from premiere to premiere, the actress is likely feeling quite jetlagged at this point, so it was quite smart of her makeup artist to use these tricks.

First up, Kristen’s inner eyelids (the lower waterline) were lined with a white eyeliner. This trick instantly brightens the eye area and any nude-, white- or peach-colored liner creates this effect. Try Merle Norman Inner Eyeliner, which is specifically designed to stay put on that wet area of the eyes, or Blinc Eyeliner Pencil in White, which is also a waterproof formula.

The next trick is to put white eyeshadow on the inner corners of the eyes. This also helps the eyes look wider and more awake. Try Make Up For Ever Eyeshadow in White 0 for a matte finish, or if you prefer a pearlized effect, Stila Jewel Eye Shadow in Opal is a great option.

As a final element, Kristen’s makeup artist didn’t bring her upper or lower eyeliner all the way to the inner corners of the eyes, which helps accentuate the white that is there.

Voilà! Wide awake.

Kristen Wiig In Prada – ‘Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues’ New York Premiere

Kristen Wiig In Prada - 'Anchorman 2 The Legend Continues' New York Premiere

Kristen Wiig attended the ‘Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues’ New York premiere alongside Christina Applegate and Meagan Good on Sunday evening (December 15) held at the Beacon Theatre.

The actress wore a Prada dual-colour dove-grey-and-salmon embroidered and embellished gown with gathered detailing.

As you know, I am not a fan of Prada gowns. In fact, I have only liked two this year: Lupita Nyong’o’s and Michelle Dockery’s.

This gown loses me from the empire-waist down.

There is just too much going on. I’m not a fan of the salmon – maybe a mellow dusky-pink would’ve worked better – nor do I like the front embroidered panel.

Bravo to Kristen for taking a risk with this look. Sadly, for me, it didn’t pay off on this occasion.

Kristen Wiig In Martin Grant – ‘The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty’ Berlin Premiere

Kristen Wiig In Martin Grant - 'The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty' Berlin Premiere

Kristen Wiig attended ‘The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty’ Berlin premiere on Wednesday evening (December 11) in Germany.

The actress had been stuck in a bit of a rut, always selecting minimalist dresses with similar silhouettes, so I was happy to see her working a different look on this occasion.

She wore a geometric black-and-white Martin Grant Spring 2014 bustier with a gorgeous voluminous flared tea-length black skirt, which she styled with gold Manolo Blahnik pumps and subtle complementary gold jewels.

With her hair swept back, she completed her look with a black manicure.

Are you liking this new look, or do you deem it too twee for the actress?

Kristen Wiig In Martin Grant – ‘Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues’ Sydney Premiere

Kristen Wiig In Martin Grant - ‘Anchorman 2 The Legend Continues’ Sydney Premiere

Kristen Wiig continued her stay Down Under with an appearance at the Sydney premiere of ‘Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues’ on Saturday.

The actress joined Kirsten Dunst on the red carpet, selecting a black, wide-leg Martin Grant jumpsuit with Victorian-esque buttons down the bodice for the occasion. This ensemble was a far cry from her sunnier J. Mendel choice days earlier at ‘The Secret Life of Walter Mitty’ premiere, but certainly stayed true to Kristen’s long-standing penchant for jumpsuits.

Christian Louboutin peep-toe shoes, chunky Saint Laurent gold cuff, and black belt cinched at the waist provided minimalist flare, while her darker lip colour gave the look its finish.

I can’t say I hate this look, but I’m not quite enamoured of it either. It’s just nothing to write home about.

Agree or disagree?
