Kristen Stewart For Marie Claire US March 2014

Kristen Stewart For Marie Claire US March 2014

Kristen Stewart graces the cover of the Marie Claire US March 2014 issue – which was shot by Tesh – wearing an Emilio Pucci colourful beaded frock.

The ‘Twilight’ star wears Saint Laurent, Balmain, Louis Vuitton and Giambattista Valli in her editorial, opening up to the magazine about love and her relationships, almost quitting acting aged 9, drugs, and being judged.

Here are some extracts. You can read more over at MarieClaire.com.

On almost quitting acting at age 9: “I auditioned for a year before I got anything, and I told my mom I was kind of over it. I was like, ‘I don’t want to make you drive around L.A. anymore. If it’s not happening, it’s not worth it.’ They thought I looked like a boy. I didn’t think it was going to pan out, and then literally that day, I got The Safety of Objects, which was my first movie.”

On directing aspirations: “The idea of making a movie scares me because I want it to be amazing. If people watch it, I don’t want, ‘Oh, how nice, her first little directorial debut.’ I want it to be, ‘Boom!'”

On her M.O.: “I’m kind of, like, an extremist. I really don’t want to be working unless I’m bleeding it. And if I’m not working, then don’t ever try to make a plan with me.”

On being judged as a peril of fame: “I stand by every mistake I’ve ever made, so judge away.”

On being less inhibited: “I was always like, ‘If you put too many walls up, you can’t see. You’re limiting your life so drastically and in a sad way.’ So I always used to say, ‘I’m not putting up any walls, I’m trying to break them down,’ and it seemed kind of defensive—it was definitely coming from that place. But now I’m actually maintaining like I don’t live in a fortress.”

On drugs: “I’m such a control freak. I’m glad I grew up in this era because I think if I grew up in my parents’ age of drugs and discovery and crazy shit, I don’t think I would do drugs well.”

On falling in love: “You don’t know who you will fall in love with. You just don’t. You don’t control it. Some people have certain things, like, ‘That’s what I’m going for,’ and I have a subjective version of that. I don’t pressure myself… If you fall in love with someone, you want to own them – but really, why would you want that? You want them to be what you love. I’m much too young to even have an answer for that question.”

On her haters: “I stand by every mistake I’ve ever made. So judge away.”

Kristen Stewart In Chanel – Out In Paris

Kristen Stewart In Chanel - Out In Paris

Having arrived in Paris on Monday, Kristen Stewart was spotted out and about in the city this afternoon (February 4).

Obviously in town to shoot her Chanel Pre-Fall 2014 ad campaign with Uncle Karl, the actress has already been furnished with some Chanel goodies.

It’s not quite a classic Chanel tweed suit or twin-set-with-pearls look – not that we’d expect that from Kristen – but despite the uncharacteristic nature of the look, it’s Chanel nonetheless.

The actress wore a navy Chanel hoodie with her dark-wash jeans, styled with canvas Chanel sneakers and a Chanel graffiti backpack slung on one shoulder while holding her Chanel ‘Boy’ bag.

Chanel debuted this graffiti-inspired backpack on the Spring 2014 runway back in September. When it hits stores the bag will retail at a cool $3,400. $3,400 for a backpack? Yikes.

Featuring woven ropes, thick chains and colourful spray paint, the Chanel ‘Bricolage’ canvas backpack is definitely a departure from the chic silhouette the brand is known for; however, it certainly suits Kristen’s style.

Chanel Pre-Fall 2014 Front Row

Chanel Pre-Fall 2014 Front Row

Chanel presented their ‘Metiers d’Art’ Show at Dallas Fair Park in Dallas, Texas yesterday evening, inviting a host of PYTs to sit in the front row.

Kristen Stewart: On Tuesday night, Chanel announced that Kristen will front the Pre-Fall 2014 campaign, which is set to debut in May. It will be interesting to see how this news is received considering people had a meltdown when Blake Lively was announced as the face of their ‘Mademoiselle’ bags. As expected, the actress brought her “I don’t give a s**t” attitude to the event, going braless wearing a crop top and camel-coloured leather oversized pants from Chanel’s Spring 2014 collection. Even though it is styled almost exactly how it is on the runway, it lost all its appeal on KStew.

Dakota Fanning: Donning a Chanel Fall 2013 Couture look, the dress was styled differently from the runway, losing the belt, hat and boots in favour of a pair of satin Brian Atwood ‘Stearling’ platform slingbacks. Not to take anything away from her pretty frock, but the most welcome thing here is the braided updo.

Lily Collins: Having worn a bold lip all summer, the actress worked a gorgeous berry lip, wearing a Chanel Fall 2013 cap-sleeved embellished copper layered dress styled with the runway suede over-the-knee boots. Even with so much embellishment on her dress, she added an on-trend ear cuff to her pretty look.

Kristen Stewart In Zuhair Murad Couture – Zuhair Murad Fall 2013 Couture Show

Kristen Stewart In Zuhair Murad Couture - Zuhair Murad Fall 2013 Couture Show

The Zuhair Murad Fall 2013 Couture show was the last of Haute Couture fashion week this afternoon in Paris.

When I saw Kristen Stewart touch down in Paris earlier this week, it was a safe bet that she would attend the show, considering two of her looks during ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2′ promo tour were created by the Lebanese designer.

Sporting part-braided, part-wild-and-loose locks, the actress wore a black silk bustier with a sweetheart neckline and sheer beaded pants from the designer’s Fall 2012 Couture collection.

I have to say Kristen is two for two at fashion week for me. I know her London premiere Zuhair Murad Couture look got her a lot of stick because it was sheer, but I think this look is sexy and in keeping with the more daring red carpet looks she’s been flaunting lately.

Even the shoes, which can often be her Achilles heel, totally work with the look.

Chanel Fall 2013 Couture Show Front Row

Chanel Front Row 1

Chanel’s Fall 2013 Couture show took place at the Grand Palais in Paris, France this morning, with celebrity guests from all over the world taking seats in the front row.

Rihanna: The singer, who was out at dinner in Paris last night, wore a full-length Chanel cardigan from the Resort 2014 collection, making full use of the opening, which acted as a slit to show off her pins. As for the plunge, she decorated it with an array of Chanel pearl necklaces – just not enough to cover that tattoo on her chest. The rest of her accessories included a cream quilted vanity case and cream pumps with a black toecap, both of which are from the Chanel Resort 2014 collection. Even though this look could be considered just-rolled-out-of-bed, I have to say she makes it work for her.

Kristen Stewart: The ‘Twilight’ actress has sat front row at many shows for Balenciaga, but this was her first show during Couture week. No one should be surprised she opted for the shortest shorts Chanel have ever produced, teaming them with a white double-breasted jacket from Chanel’s Resort 2014 collection. Her menswear-inspired look was styled with black leather fingerless gloves, chain bracelets, Jean-Michel Cazabat Evangelina pumps, a slicked-back ponytail and smoky eyes. Love her or loathe her, she totally nailed this look. It’s everything I would expect from Kristen, with an extra dose of attitude.

Clemence Poesy: The French actress selected a Chanel Spring 2013 boucle skirt suit inspired by a classic tuxedo. While it’s an interesting look, it feels weighty. I would’ve loved Clemence to have selected something from the Resort 2014 collection.
