Kristen Stewart In Chanel Haute Couture – ‘The Man Who Killed Don Quixote’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere & Closing Ceremony

Kristen Stewart was back on the red carpet at ‘The Man Who Killed Don Quixote’ premiere and Cannes Film Festival closing ceremony on Saturday (May 19), joining Olga Kurylenko.

No one will be surprised to see her in Chanel, but what was interesting was that she brought out a look from the Spring 2013 Haute Couture collection.

She has had many fashionable appearances at the festival, but this is her best look at the event.

This was her version of a princess dress and I was enamored with the ethereal yet strong finish it had.

Simply undoing a few buttons changed the mood from the runway version for a resplendent, uncomplicated finish.

Thoughts?

Kristen Stewart In Chanel – ‘Knife + Heart (Un Couteau Dans Le Couer)’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

It would seem that Kristen Stewart didn’t stay long at the amfAR Cannes Gala, as she attended the premiere of ‘Knife + Heart (Un Couteau Dans Le Couer)’ during Cannes Film Festival on Thursday (May 17).

The actress channeled her inner…dare I say? Robert Pattinson wearing a borrowed-from-the-boys Chanel Resort 2018 look.

I love the longer length of her shawl collar blazer, the fact that she wore a blouse (the runway look would work for her in another setting), and how the rocker vibe of her sparkly trousers was translated into her hair.

All in all this felt more Saint Laurent than Chanel.

This may divide people, but I think she totally nailed this look.

Kristen Stewart In Chanel – amfAR Gala Cannes 2018

Kristen Stewart was one of the few non-models to attend tonight’s (May 17) amfAR Cannes Gala held at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes, France.

Keeping up her 100% record of all things Chanel at the festival, the actress wore a Chanel Resort 2019 semi-sheer embroidered knit dress which is reimaging the iconic Breton stripe.

I’m sure you are as surprised as I am to see Kristen with a dress which falls close to her ankles, as mini dresses tend to be her prefer choice alongside trousers, yet the look doesn’t feel out of step like a ball gown would.

Opting for the less is more approaching to styling, the real story here is her makeup.

Kristen Stewart In Chanel Haute Couture – ‘Blackkklansman’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Kristen Stewart joined fellow juror Cate Blanchett for the Cannes Film Festival for the premiere of ‘Blackkklansman’ this evening (May 14).

I love that Kristen has opted to go into the archives, as I did struggle to see her in a lot of the Fall 2018 collection.

While Marion Cotillard was lengthening her Haute Couture look yesterday, Kristen was shortening her stunning embellished dress.

The look almost feels like armour, and on Kristen her attitude fits the cooler modifications of this Chanel Fall 2013 Haute Couture look.

What did make me laugh was the minute she checked out of wearing her black Christian Louboutin heels.

She couldn’t even wait to get off the red carpet and out of eye shot before saying, “shoes, you’re outta here.”

And all I have to say is “girl, we’ve all been there.”

Kristen Stewart In Chanel Haute Couture – Kering x Cannes Dinner

Kristen Stewart was at the Kering x Cannes dinner during the 2018 Cannes Film Festival on Sunday (May 13) in France.

It was no surprise that she was in a Chanel Fall 2016 Haute Couture gown.

She streamlined the runway look, wearing only the strapless column with white pumps. Like the vast majority of her looks, she lends an insouciant cool to it through her attitude and styling.

Some might question the fit of the bodice given where the neckline sits. I initially had the urge to see the dress raised, but it seems to be the size rather than the placement of the embellished band that’s creating the effect.

Jurors Protest At The ‘Girls Of The Sun (Les Filles Du Soleil)’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Kirsten Stewart, Lea Seydoux, Khadja Nin, Ava DuVernay and Cate Blanchett walked the red carpet in protest of the lack of female filmmakers honored throughout the history of the festival at the screening of ‘Girls Of The Sun (Les Filles Du Soleil)’ this evening (May 12) during Cannes Film Festival.

Only 82 films in competition in the official selection have been directed by women since the inception of the Cannes Film Festival whereas 1,645 films in the past 71 years have been directed by men.

Kristen Stewart: The actress wore classic Chanel suit, styled with rebel Roberi & Fraud retro-inspired shades.

Lea Seydoux: Her custom Louis Vuitton gown from the Fall 2018 collection is stunning. I love how it defines her gorgeous figure, and how the ruffled detailing gives the look an interesting dimension.

Khadja Nin: This navy gown was given plenty of African flare with her signature head scarf and sash combo.

Ava DuVernay: I had hoped to see more of Ava at Cannes, but her third outing didn’t disappoint Alberta Ferretti.

Cate Blanchett: The Australian actress wore her second Armani Prive look of the festival. The sensual fabrication was only enhanced by the asymmetrical cut, sculptural hip detail and figure forming fit. Chopard jewels completed her look.
