Regular readers will know that I was dead against the Sex and the City 2 film because I thought the story concluded when Carrie and Big got married.

It was the ending we all hoped for.

I only recently jumped on-board the sequel train, when I saw Sarah Jessica Parker walking the streets of Manhattan wearing a white Halston dress and Louboutin heels.

But then THIS happened. Miley Cyrus was spotted on set with Kim Cattrall wearing the same paillette detailed Matthew Williamson mini dress this weekend.

You know how I feel about Miley, so it won’t surprise you to know that my desire to watch this film has just died.

Let me know how it goes because I won’t be paying money to watch this brat.

What’s she doing in this movie anyway? Is she even old enough to watch it?

N.B. Regular readers will also know that it will only take the next candids of SJP to get me back on board.

Kim and Miley’s dress was not featured on the runway, but the detail of the dress was featured in both Matthew Williamson Fall and Pre-Fall 2009 collections.

Kylie Minogue has also worn this dress, but hers was minus the embellished details on the bodice.

Amelle Berrabah, Heidi Range and Keisha Buchanan of Sugababes all looked stunning in their floor length gowns for this event in London last week.

These girls really made an effort to stand out on the red carpet. Together they look good, individually, amazing.

Amelle wore a red plunge-neck dress by Jovani.

Heidi wore black plunge-neck Halston Fall 2008 gown, and Keisha wore a strapless sweetheart necklined Ashley Isham Fall 2008 pine green gown.

Dannii Minogue wore a very interesting asymmetric black dress, which has a peplum. She teamed her dress with a gold clutch, and a pair black and white shoes, which remind me of Gwyneth Paltrow’s booties.

Fearne Cotton arrived wearing a plunge-neck black jumpsuit, with her hair swept to one side.

The host of this event also changed into the mini sparkly number, which is much more her style.

Melanie Brown wore an paillette covered halter neck gown from Jenny Packham’s Fall 2008 collection.

The hairstyle does not quite work with the dress, but she has been working hard on looking glamorous and not trashy lately, so I will let it slide on this occasion.

Myleene Klass shows of her curves with a figure-hugging strapless Jonathan Saunders Fall 2008 strapless column dress.

Alesha Dixon won Ultimate Confidence Award, and she took to the pink carpet wearing a strapless sparkly mini dress, with a bow detail.

Jamelia stick to her usual boring style of LBD and slicked back hair.

Kim Cattrall adds a bit of international glamour wearing satin black dress with Pierre Hardy heels.

“Sex and the City: The Movie” DVD Launch, New York

Unfortunately Sarah Jessica Parker’s hair ruins this look for me. The front part with the bangs, looks like a hair piece which has been attached to her head, as it appears to be a different colour to her hair on the side.

I love the smoke print Alexander McQueen Resort 2009 sheath dress, and I am sure the Marlboro lights loving Carrie would approve, but the hair…noooo.

Cynthia Nixon was very neutral in an all beige look, consisting of a satin pleated Calvin Klein Resort 2009 dress, and matching square-toe heels.

For me Cynthia was the best dressed at this event, and that is not something I have ever said about her.

I love the velvet eggplant Salvatore Ferragamo Fall 2008 suit and the chain-mail top, such a great look. But Kim Cattrall goes and ruins it by leaving her top open to expose her bra.

Yes she wanted to steal the attention away from SJP, but was this the right way to go about it?

I think not.

Eva Mendes’ flirty sequin dress was a dazzling choice, but I just wish it was more form-fitting.

“Battle in Seattle” Screening, New York

Charlize Theron turned up the heat in her red hot satin one-shoulder Christian Dior dress, which she matched with Christian Louboutin bow heels.

This is simply an elegant and stunning look for the actress. As we would expect.

Fashion Fringe Grand Final, London

Dita von Teese, who is doing that foot posing thingy she does so well, wore a black RM by Roland Mouret Pigalle stretch wool dress, which as I said earlier, is fast becoming the IT celebrity dress of the season.

She completed her head to to black look, with black square-toe Alexander McQueen heels and a black Christian Louboutin Minilou clutch.

The 100th Episode Of “Dog Whisperer”, LA

Jada Pinkett Smith wore a stunning turquoise Jasmine di Milo sheath dress, which interestingly wore with a red/black belt.

Jada choices are never predictable and never boring.

Elle Fashion Star, Berlin

For a fairly uneventful weekend Claudia Schiffer brought out the high glamour, wearing ice silver sequined tiered Chanel Couture Spring 2008 off-the-shoulder gown.

The German supermodel wore her dress with a starred necklace and silver satin peep-toes.

This is a very mumsy look for Kim Cattrall. Not a look we are used to seeing on the Sex And The City star.

I although I have started to tire of celebs wearing Herve Leger to every event, Hayden Panettiere looks so cute and very pretty in her pink body-con dress, without looking overtly sexy a la Kim Kardashian.

Ali Larter opted for a red sheath dress with gold strappy sandals.

Debra Messing wore an emerald green wrap ruffled Diane von Furstenberg dress, which I think looks gorgeous on her.

The actress who rarely puts a foot wrong on the red carpet, wore her dress with silver peep-toes.

Dania Ramirez love short, but cute dresses and she stay true to form wearing a strapless ruffled mini dress with colourful striped t-bar sandals.

Model Bar Refaeli is gorgeous, as always, wearing a black figure hugging plunge-neck dress with black peep-toes.

Close but no cigar for Britney Spears.

I stopped having expectations for Britney a very long time ago, so I can’t be disappointed that her hair extensions are very obvious, and that skirt of her black dress has white marks on it.

Nice shoes though.

Jenny McCarthy looks so fresh faced here. It looks like she has turned back the clock 10 or 15 years.

Leighton Meester has said on many occasions that one of her favourite designers is Zac Posen, so it is no surprise to see the actress wearing his dress to this event.

I love the style of this dress, especially the asymetric stitching on her Zac Posen Pre-Fall 2008 dress, as well as the puffy sleeves.

Jennifer Love Hewitt no doubt turned heads wearing a short black lacy dress.

I love the coral colour of this jersey dress on Eva La Rue.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus shows off her wicked curves in this tweed bustier dress with black satin panels.

2nd Annual Bow Wow WOW! Charity Event at the Playboy Mansion, LA

Vanessa Williams was dresses very causal last week in flared jeans and a red top. On this occasion she goes back to looking glam in a purple gown with embellished straps.

Normally I would say that the necklace is too much with the embellishments on the dress, but I love the turquoise with the purple.

Kate Walsh is not so glamourous as Vanessa, but she still looks gorgeous in her blue/grey Amanda Wakeley Fall 2008 dress.

“Hancock” Premiere, LA

After Charlize Theron’s European red carpet appearances, I thought she may find it hard to top the Christian Dior, Balenciaga, Giambattista Valli and Christian Lacroix dresses she wore.

It looks like I was right because this dress on her is very average compared to the others, despite being Dior.

And flats on the red carpet? No no. Even if they are Giuseppe Zanotti.

Jada Pinkett-Smith upstaged the leading lady in this Grecian emerald green Herve Leroux gown, with stunning blue drop earrings and a Judith Leiber gold clutch.

Tia Mowry is very cute fun and flirty in this Ports 1961 Silk Ruffled Mini Dress, and her make-up is flawless.

After all the hard work Queen Latifah put into changing her style from a hip-hop diva, to an A list actress, she does a complete 180, and hits the red carpet wearing an ensemble that would be better suited to a gym.

I absolutely hate this look. It has no place on the red carpet.

Amanda Peet’s look is very casual when compared to Jada and Charlize, but it is thankfully not too casual like Queen Latifah.

Her Thakoon Resort 2009 ensemble consists of a floral skirt and a black and peach jersey sweater, which she completes with a pair of strappy sandals and a black clutch.

Is any one else completely uncomfortable looking at Minnie Driver here?

Vivica A Fox is almost unrecognisable here. How much work has she had done?

I would not have personally picked this beige/brown ombre Oscar de la Renta Fall 2008 dress with gold embroidery for Jennifer Morrison, but somehow she makes it work.

I love Anita Briem’s sunny yellow layered Jay Godfrey Resort 2008 tent dress. The gorgeous actress looks stunning in the open-back haltered dress and the skirt is so incredibly cute.

The forever stylish Dita von Teese wore a fire engine red pleated plunge-neck Malandrino Spring 2008 dress, with matching belt, clutch, shoes and lips.

I wonder how the matchy police feel about this?

Meryl Streep also opted for red, wearing this satin Donna Karan Resort 2008 coat/dress with a black leather belt and Christian Louboutin peep-toes.

I love that Christine Baranski was brave enough to wear this pink Gucci Spring 2008. Some would say she is too old to wear something so short, but I say she looks fantastic.

With legs like that, why not so them off?

Denzel Washington arrived looking very dapper in his black suit, shirt and tie combo, with his wife, Pauletta Pearson who was wearing a black asymmetric top and a Prada Resort 2008 pouffy skirt.

Forest Whitaker and his wife Keisha arrived both wearing navy. She was wearing a satin Lanvin Fall 2007 dress, with a stunning pair of embellished sandals.

Naomi Campbell brought not only her new boyfriend, but the high-end glamour to this event wearing a sexy black chiffon gown.

Oprah Winfrey made a rare visit to London wearing a black and white ensemble. The chat-show host was clever enough to bring a clutch that doubled up as a fan, to keep her cool, as London was very warm yesterday.

Katherine Jenkins arrived wearing a blush pink Christian Dior by John Galliano strapless gown with fold details.

I have a thing about strapless gown being worn with the hair up and a bare neck, as I believe it makes you look more statuesque, so I am not loving Katherine in this gown. I much prefer it on the first time it was worn by a celebrity.

I am not crazy about the colour on her, and I think a belt may have made a dramatic difference.

With minimal make-up and a strapless pink Missoni gown accentuated with a gold belt, Leona Lewis is, as always, simply beautiful, and it’s effortless.

Heidi opted for a coral Jenny Packham gown, which has blue accents, which was worn by Tyra Banks this year.

Amelle wore a stunning metallic haltered gown with silver accents, but ruined her look with that bright red lipstick and blusher.

Keisha amped up the glam wearing a stunning belted orange gown.

Lewis Hamilton arrived with his Pussycat Doll girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger, who decided this event was a great place to show off her bra.

Note to Nicole: You are dining in with Nelson Mandela, not getting chicken wings at Hooters my dear.

I am more than disappointed that Uma Thurman is not playing the red carpet game. What is the point in taking the time to dress nice if you are not going to show it off?

Mary-Kate Olsen has come out of hiding. It has been a while since we saw the boho chick on the red carpet, and she did not disappoint from the ankles up.

Mary-Kate wore a beautiful white vintage Lanvin maxi dress with a navy waist belt, but opted to wear orange Sonia Rykiel shoes with it, which totally ruined the look for me.

This floral dress is not really working for me either, as it appears a little too big and her posture is slightly hunched over.

Selita Ebanks decided to mix it up a little by wearing a tuxedo jacket with an ultra mini skirt.

I hope her hair is just pulled back, as it looks like she may have gone for the chop.

Actress Paz Vega opted for a black strapless Roberto Cavalli Pre-Fall 2008 gown, which has a beautiful floral detail on the hem.

For Esther Canadas it was all about the back of her Roberto Cavalli dress, as she constantly posed with her back to the paparazzi.

Other than the clothes, handbags also play a huge part in the movie.

In the film, Jennifer Hudson’s character Louise, rents bags from Bag Borrow or Steal.

In particular she rents Louis Vuitton and Chanel bags.

You can borrow her Louis Vuitton Blue Denim Bowly Handbag and her Classic Chanel bag above either for a weekly or monthly.

I would imagine there is a long waiting list for the Eiffel Tower bag, as girls try to channel their inner Carrie Bradshaw.
