Olivia Munn In Carolina Herrera – 2013 People’s Choice Awards

Olivia Munn made a sophisticated entrance for the 2013 People’s Choice Awards at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in California, where she presented the ‘Favourite Country Artist’ prize.

Her black-and-white Carolina Herrera Resort 2013 ensemble, featuring a tiered skirt with lace overlay was slightly underwhelming, though. It didn’t feel right for the occasion, and it aged the young actress.

Instead of choosing a sandal, as shown on the model, Olivia wore the ubiquitous Christian Louboutin ‘Bianca’ platform pumps that have been glimpsed on nearly every starlet.

Maybe if her hair, which was a bit too under-styled and fell limp, was swept into a sleek updo, the look would have been transported to a more elevated, exciting place.

Heidi Klum In Julien Macdonald – 2013 People’s Choice Awards

Heidi Klum flaunted her supermodel superpower during yesterday’s 2013 People’s Choice Awards held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in California.

The ‘Project Runway’ host presented on the night wearing slinky black and metallic embellished gown from the Julien Macdonald Spring 2013 collection matched with Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

Heidi look every bit as good as the runway model, as the strategically placed cutouts and a pin-baring thigh-high slit showed off her statuesque frame.

The asymmetrical neckline added visual interest. Luckily, she tied her hair back into a slick ponytail, so the shape of the dress wasn’t covered up.

Christian Louboutin’s vampy ‘Crosspiga’ stilettos finished the look. It’s not the first time these pointy-toe heels have made an appearance. Rihanna and Bond girl Olga Kurylenko are also fans of this shoe.

Brittany Snow In Maria Lucia Hohan – 2013 People’s Choice Awards

Brittany Snow had a mellow yellow moment on the red carpet at the 2013 People’s Choice Awards hosted last night at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California.

But the ’Pitch Perfect’ actress’s look was far from subtle. The plunging neckline and illusion side panels of her Maria Lucia Hohan gown showed just the right amount of skin for a sultry yet still sophisticated flair. Our Emerging Designer of 2012 is starting out 2013 on a very promising note with this look.

The ankle-grazing length of this dress was also so delightful to see, and it served to show off Brittany’s silver Giuseppe Zanotti heels all the more.

She kept the rest of her accessories minimal with Norman Silverman earrings and a silver Judith Leiber clutch, which preserved the integrity of the dress’ impeccable draping.

A trendy bob and the pop of a petal pink-pout completed the look.

Katy Perry In Valentino – 2013 People’s Choice Awards

Katy Perry didn’t take to the red carpet at the 2013 People’s Choice Awards but she was in attendance to collect her four awards, including ‘Favourite Female Artist’, ‘Favourite Pop Artist’, ‘Favourite Music Video’ for ‘Part of Me’, and ‘Favourite Music Fan Following’ for KatyCats.

Our most improved star of 2012 kick-started the new year in the way she ended the last, looking effortless and sophisticated.

Dressed in a Valentino Fall 2012 number, her long-sleeve black dress with fitted bodice and flared skirt featured floral and gold embroidered details.

Black suede Jimmy Choo ‘Eros’ pumps, gold Sylva & Cie drop earrings and her braided updo, adorned with a gold Jennifer Behr headpiece, completed her look.

If there was ever an event for Quirky Katy to come out to play it was the People’s Choice Awards, but she opted for something mature and sophisticated.

Taylor Swift In Ralph Lauren – 2013 People’s Choice Awards

Taylor Swift took home just one (‘Favourite Country Artist’) of the three awards she was up for last night at the 2013 People’s Choice Awards held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in California.

The country singer looked super chic in a show-stopping Ralph Lauren gown.

It may be quite simple, but the cap-sleeve gown with flowing skirt featured a daring plunging neckline.

Finishing touches included a braided updo, beautiful ice-blue Sutra drop earrings making her blue eyes pop, Christian Louboutin ‘Corpus’ d’Orsay sandals and soft neutral makeup including soft smoky eyes and a nude lip.
