Julianne Hough In Tony Ward Couture – 2013 People’s Choice Awards

Julianne Hough ripped her sparkling red-carpet look for last night’s 2013 People’s Choice Awards straight from the runway, and it paid off.

This former ‘Dancing with the Stars’ pro turned big-screen star really turned heads in a starry Tony Ward Fall 2012 Couture navy blue frock. The full skirt featured a glittery constellation of sequins, and it just begged to be twirled in—perfect for this dancer.

Not much additional bling was needed to accent such a glittery moment, but Norman Silverman earrings and a Misaki ring delivered just the right delicate touch.

She paired the cocktail dress with Giuseppe Zanotti silver metallic pumps, which played off all that shine and provided a lighter finish than the slate gray platforms from the runway.

Julianne’s long flippy bob, styled in piece-y layers, was the final fresh and fun touch.

Regina King In Badgley Mischka – 2013 People’s Choice Awards

Regina King worked the red carpet to her advantage at the 2013 People’s Choice Awards, hosted last night at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in California.

The ‘Southland’ actress pulls off vivid colors with panache, but she still impressed with her Badgley Mischka cream cocktail dress with black lace detail and sash at the waist.

Regina’s look was unquestionably chic, but she did reveal her playful fashion side with her peep-toe Valentino pumps tied up with a big bow. Her reverse French pedicure with bright purple lacquer and white tips was also a surprise.

Sparkling Simon G jewels and a black Judith Leiber clutch completed her look.

Shay Mitchell In Giorgio Armani – 2013 People’s Choice Awards

‘Pretty Little Liars’ starlet Shay Mitchell definitely worked her PYT ways last night at the 2013 People’s Choice Awards at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in California.

She wore Giorgio Armani Fall 2012 strapless coral confection that was party-ready what with its embellished overlay of confetti beading.

Black peep-toe pumps could have been more inspired, but her cocktail frock, especially the colour, was worthy of top billing.

Shay’s black nail lacquer added edge to her ensemble, while her soft, slightly unkempt updo was romantic—and certainly very pretty.

Ellen Pompeo In Lanvin – 2013 People’s Choice Awards

Ellen Pompeo took home the trophy for ‘Favourite Dramatic TV Actress’ at the 2013 People’s Choice Awards hosted last night at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in California.

Rather than go super-dressy, the popular ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ star went for a breezy, effortless spin in a loose, pleated maxi dress in soft cream, paired with a black leather waist belt and a marigold yellow clutch, all from Lanvin’s Resort 2013 collection.

Cuffed sleeves contributed a casual vibe, while a daringly high front slit added a sexy peek-a-boo element when she walked. She took the runway look a step further by revealing a plunging neckline, which was a smart style move.

The belt provided much-needed shape and edge. But it was the sunny color of the clutch that unexpectedly provided an interesting punch to this otherwise monochrome ensemble.

Ellen further accessorized with gold Sydney Evan jewelry and a Jennifer Meyer pendant necklace, along with barely visible Christian Louboutin heels.

Olivia Munn In Carolina Herrera – 2013 People’s Choice Awards

Olivia Munn made a sophisticated entrance for the 2013 People’s Choice Awards at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in California, where she presented the ‘Favourite Country Artist’ prize.

Her black-and-white Carolina Herrera Resort 2013 ensemble, featuring a tiered skirt with lace overlay was slightly underwhelming, though. It didn’t feel right for the occasion, and it aged the young actress.

Instead of choosing a sandal, as shown on the model, Olivia wore the ubiquitous Christian Louboutin ‘Bianca’ platform pumps that have been glimpsed on nearly every starlet.

Maybe if her hair, which was a bit too under-styled and fell limp, was swept into a sleek updo, the look would have been transported to a more elevated, exciting place.

Heidi Klum In Julien Macdonald – 2013 People’s Choice Awards

Heidi Klum flaunted her supermodel superpower during yesterday’s 2013 People’s Choice Awards held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in California.

The ‘Project Runway’ host presented on the night wearing slinky black and metallic embellished gown from the Julien Macdonald Spring 2013 collection matched with Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

Heidi look every bit as good as the runway model, as the strategically placed cutouts and a pin-baring thigh-high slit showed off her statuesque frame.

The asymmetrical neckline added visual interest. Luckily, she tied her hair back into a slick ponytail, so the shape of the dress wasn’t covered up.

Christian Louboutin’s vampy ‘Crosspiga’ stilettos finished the look. It’s not the first time these pointy-toe heels have made an appearance. Rihanna and Bond girl Olga Kurylenko are also fans of this shoe.
