Rashida Jones In Prada – 2017 Vanity Fair Oscars Party

Rashida Jones attended the 2017 Vanity Fair Oscars party with much of Hollywood on Sunday (February 26).

The actress wore a sleeveless, satin Prada gown with floral appliqués.

I absolutely love this midnight blue shade on Rashida, and the gown is lovely, although it does need to be hemmed just a smidge.

But honestly, even more so than the dress, I am smitten with Rashida’s styling. Her dark manicure and jewelry is perfection, as is her skinny cat eye and orange lipstick. It honestly couldn’t be any more perfect with the gown.

Naomie Harris In Calvin Klein By Appointment – 2017 Vanity Fair Oscars Party

For her second look of the night, Naomie Harris wore another look by Calvin Klein By Appointment at the 2017 Vanity Fair Oscars Party on Sunday night (February 26).

She paired the white, Grecian-inspired gown with Tamara Mellon ‘Reveal’ sandals and a gold clutch.

This is a little bit tough, simply because her ceremony look was my best for the night, so nothing else can compare, but this classic gown is absolutely lovely on Naomie, and of course, her posture and perfectly toned arms are an inspiration as always.

I’m also pretty much in love with that clutch–the shape is so unique and fun.

Chris has been quick to point out that this gown is similar to Amy Adams’ 2014 Vanity Fair gown.

Dakota Johnson In Gucci – 2017 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Dakota Johnson certainly didn’t shy away from fashion risks last night, and wore a Gucci gown and Gucci clutch for the 2017 Vanity Fair Oscar Party.

While her ceremony look had major 80s throwback elements, this gown also speaks to the big bows and bold accoutrements of the decade.

However, while her unique ceremony look won me over with its editorial prowess, I just can’t get on board this time around.

That peach bow is just so prominent. And seemingly frozen in place to look like it has movement.

I just can’t. Can you?

Deepika Padukone In Monique Lhuillier – 2017 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Deepika Padukone attended the 2017 Vanity Fair Oscar Party on Sunday night (February 26).

The Indian actress wore a colour-blocked Monique Lhuillier gown, which seems quite the departure for the designer, with no tulle or ultra-feminine details anywhere in sight.

The liquid sequin look of this skirt is absolutely stunning and gold and black is such a winning glam colour combo.

I also love that Deepika wore her hair down and with tons of body in her curls, when most of the hair we saw for the night was much more sleek and controlled.

Alicia Vikander In Louis Vuitton – 2017 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Alicia Vikander turned to Louis Vuitton to dress her again for the 2017 Vanity Fair Oscar Party on Sunday night (February 26).

The actress wore a teal lace gown, which for me was a big upgrade from her ceremony look.

The color is beautiful against her bronzed skintone, and the dress offers plenty of easy style, which seems perfectly apropos for a party look.

I also love that she pulled her hair out of that messy bun and went with some chic waves in her bob.

While this look will have a hard time competing head-to-head with some of the more dramatic looks at the Vanity Fair soiree, I think it’s a solid win for Alicia.

Katharine McPhee In Amanda Wakeley – Elton John’s AIDS Foundation’s Academy Awards Viewing Party

Katherine McPhee was also in attendance at Elton John’s AIDS Foundation’s Academy Awards Viewing Party on Sunday (February 26).

The corset came out to play yet again in her Amanda Wakeley black gown that was a far darker and subtler vision on sultriness.

The hint at gothic romance was enhanced with her choker necklace, with a Halston Heritage minaudière clutch finishing the look.

Jessica Alba In Ralph & Russo Couture – 2017 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Jessica Alba made a long-awaited return to the red carpet for the 2017 Vanity Fair Oscar Party on Sunday night (February 26).

She wore a pale blue Ralph & Russo Couture gown from the Spring 2017 collection.

I want to like this look. I really do.

I appreciate the pastel color in the sea of nudes and whites, and it’s a complete dream in motion on the runway. But somehow, Jessica is giving me ‘Barbie in a 50s dressing gown’ vibes.

Do you see what I mean, or am I crazy? Could a bit more grown-up hair styling have helped elevate the frothy number?

I would also be remiss if I didn’t mention that her jewel-encrusted Jimmy Choo ‘Cloud’ box clutch is a true work of art, and I appreciate its hard edge against the soft, flowy gown.

Giuseppe Zanotti shoes completed her look.
