Kerry Washington In Louis Vuitton - ‘Django Unchained’ Berlin Photocall

I hate to sound repetitive, but Kerry Washington is having an amazing start to 2013.

The actress was in Berlin, Germany this afternoon for a photocall for her latest movie, ‘Django Unchained’.

Her Louis Vuitton Spring 2013 white-and-ivory calf-length dress is gorgeous and her styling is impeccable – as always.

This is the third run out of Marc Jacobs’ mostly chequered collection, and I’m surprisingly not bored, as I assumed I would be if I saw more than two of these pieces on the red carpet.

Adding a cutesy touch to her look, Kerry donned an LV white headband, styling the rest of her look with white Christian Louboutin pumps (I’m giving her a pass) and a dainty Vince Camuto bag.

I still think her Rochas look was my favourite, but this comes in a very close second.

I have a feeling I will change my mind by the end of the week as she still has the Berlin premiere and London to go.

Kerry Washington In Rochas - 'Django Unchained' Paris premiere

Kerry Washington took to the red carpet again tonight for the ‘Django Unchained’ Paris premiere held at Le Grand Rex in France this evening.

I have always been a huge fan of Kerry Washington, but I didn’t predict that she would have such an amazing run promoting this movie.

She opted for a Rochas Spring 2013 strapless gown with a sweetheart neckline and pleated skirt.

Thank that lord she selected the punchy printed version over the all black version. The black gown is quite sombre, even if you believe it would’ve been more season appropriate choice. The designer should save the runway version for someone like Rooney Mara.

Keeping accessories to a bare minimum Kerry opted for Monique Péan fossilized woolly mammoth geometric French clip earrings with a white diamond pave.

A sleek top-knot and glossy pink lips completed her BDOTW worthy look.

Kerry Washington In Prada - 'Django Unchained' Rome Premiere

Kerry Washington strolled down the red carpet on Friday evening for the ‘Django Unchained’ Rome premiere held at the Cinema Adriano in Italy.

She looked stunning wearing a white Prada Spring 2013 short-sleeve dress styled with a bright-green Prada clutch.

The look is gorgeous, taking her style in another direction for the evening festivities after turning heads earlier that day in a sassy Peter Pilotto Spring 2013 dress.

At first it may appear to be more conservative, but the cut-out details and bright-green accent are a nod to her previous daring look.

Keeping the same sleek locks, she added a bright red lip colour and beige Jimmy Choo pumps to provide the finishing touches.

Kerry Washington In Peter Pilotto - 'Django Unchained' Rome Photocall

Kerry Washington kicked off her 2013 ‘Django Unchained’ promo tour this afternoon by attending a photocall at the Hassler Hotel in Rome, Italy.

The actress leaves me breathless wearing a Peter Pilotto Spring 2013 dress.

Many of you have commented that you like Kerry’s style, but often you believe her style is too safe. Well that cannot be said on this occasion.

Her sleeveless, v-neck wrap dress featuring a cut-out detail, an exaggerated, asymmetrical, contrast front ruffle detail, front slit, and a ruffled hemline is one of her most daring looks to date.

You won’t be surprised to learn that I wish she opted for the runway heels; instead she selected a pair of navy printed Nicholas Kirkwood pumps.

Sleek straight locks and neutral makeup completed her stunning BDOTW worthy look.

Kerry Washington smoulders on the cover of Uptown magazine’s December/January 2013 issue, which was shot by Nino Muñoz, wearing a vintage sheer lace dress, with the rest of the all-black editorial seeing her wearing Moschino, Theyskens’ Theory, Elizabeth & James and Isabel Marant.

The 35-year-old actress has been nominated for a pair of NAACP Image Awards for her work on ABC’s hit series ‘Scandal’ and ‘Django Unchained’, out this month.

Due to recent events in the US, the ‘Django Unchained’ premiere was cancelled, so we will look forward to Kerry strutting her stuff on the red carpet in the new year.

In her interview the actress talks about choosing movie roles, what roles attract her and her latest movie ‘Django Unchained’.

This issue is out now. You can read her interview over at UptownMagazine.com or check out the extracts below.

On choosing her movie roles: “If I were to say it’s okay to play a lawyer but not a maid, or it’s okay to play a professor but not a slave, that would be sort of spitting on the legacy of my grandmother, who was a maid on Park Avenue for years, or my ancestors in South Carolina, who came from slavery.”

On ‘Django Unchained’: “I’ve never seen slavery dealt with this way before in film. So often it’s a white character who’s the savior of black people…. We should have a plethora of visions and interpretations of who we are as a nation. This is not necessarily the film I would make about slavery.”

On what roles attract her: “If you look at my body of work, I’ve always taken huge risks. I’ve played prostitutes, drug addicts, pimping lesbians. I do work I’m drawn to.”

Kerry Washington was a busy girl promoting her new film, Django Unchained, in New York City this past week. Despite the hectic schedule, she managed to look fresh, energized and pulled-together for every appearance.

Jay Leno: Sporting a fabulous black Roksanda Ilinic dress, Jean-Michel Cazabat ‘Elba’ heels, and Joan Hornig earrings, the actress amps up the look with an eye-catching animal-print belt by Celine. She definitely gives a delightful new spin to the little black dress.

The Today Show: Wearing a slightly Kimono-style Dolce & Gabbana coat with just a hint of a Giambattista Valli pink dress showing at the hemlines, Kerry’s ladylike look for her appearance on The Today Show was pitch perfect. Wavy hair and Nicholas Kirkwood patterned platform pumps and House of Lavande earrings completed her ensemble.

BET’s ‘106 & Park’: Proving that a woman really can go from prim-and-proper to sexy-and-chic – all in the same day – Kerry traded in the feminine Dolce & Gabbana coat for a rocking A.L.C. dress for her 106 & Park appearance. She teamed her leather frock with nude Christian Louboutin shoes, Sydney Evan and Arial Gordon necklaces plus House of Lavande earrings to give her hip look the right amount of attitude.
