Kerry Washington In Michael Kors Collection – 2017 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

I’m sure you were as surprised as I was to see Kerry Washington not wearing Prada or Miu Miu to the 2017 Vanity Fair Oscar Party on Sunday (February 26).

Perhaps she used up her credit for the weekend at the Spirit Awards, or perhaps she fancied something new.

And that came in the form of this custom copper sequin Michael Kors Collection gown styled with Giuseppe Zanotti sandals and an Edie Parker ‘Wol’ clutch.

This falls in the just ok file for me.

Had this been in a goddess green hue or in that same electric colour as Ashley Tisdale’s gown I would’ve been more excited about it.

Kerry Washington In Prada – 2017 Film Independent Spirit Awards

Kerry Washington attended the 2017 Film Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday (February 25) in Santa Monica, California.

The ‘Scandal’ actress donned a Prada black dress with a textural effect, where the playful, quirky side of Prada came out in the dimensional, embroidered bodice that made for quite the dazzling bib.

No need for much further embellishment here, with Susan Foster diamond earrings and Christian Louboutin ‘Blakissima’ sandals completing the look along with a ponytail to echo that playfulness.

Kerry Washington In Sally LaPointe – 2017 Writer’s Guild Awards

Kerry Washington attended the 2017 Writers Guild Awards L.A. ceremony on Sunday (February 19) in Beverly Hills, California.

Considering this was a custom piece from Sally LaPointe, I’m so unimpressed with the fit.

The leather corset was a great idea, however, it feels badly executed.

Perhaps a narrower fit to really cinch in the waist, a different fabric or less embellishment would’ve helped this idea worked.

As it stands, I really don’t like this at all.

Thoughts?

Kerry Washington In Prabal Gurung – 2017 NAACP Image Awards

Kerry Washington was also in attendance at the 2017 NAACP Image Awards on Saturday (February 11) in Pasadena, California.

The ‘Scandal’ actress wore a Prabal Gurung Pre-Fall 2017 gown for a look that married whimsy with elegance.

The bell sleeves and the whisper of colourful embroidery that floated throughout the gown was a lovely way to bring lightness to the darker, moodier side of the dress.

However, did you miss the belt?

Kerry Washington In Sally LaPointe – 2017 Directors Guild Of America Awards

Kerry Washington turned up the va-va-voom factor at the 2017 Directors Guild Of America Awards on Saturday (February 4) in Beverly Hills.

Her Sally LaPointe Resort 2017 dress was straightforward enough, but the deep V neckline took this LBD straight into look-at-the-girls land.

Yes, the plunge was a bit scandalous you could say, however, the rest of the styling stayed in completely classic territory with EFFY jewelry and a sophisticated bun. I loved the radiant sunset hues of her eye makeup.

Kerry Washington In Rodarte – 2017 Producers Guild Awards

Kerry Washington attended the 2017 Producers Guild Awards on Saturday (January 28) in Beverly Hills, California.

For a moment back in 2015, the ‘Scandal’ actress seemed to pare down her red carpet looks.

As a result the words ‘safe’ and ‘meh’ were used to describe her style, so I was delighted to see her back to her stunning self in Rodarte.

The brand is the modern woman’s go-to for elegant and intricate silhouettes with a contemporary twist, of which this Spring 2017 dress possesses.

The only downside to this look are the shoes.

Fancy wearing lace and nude pumps with a fashion forward dress. Consider me confused.

Kerry Washington In Cavalli Couture – 2017 SAG Awards

Kerry Washington attended the 2017 SAG Awards in LA on Sunday (January 29).

The actress, who is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series for her role in ‘Confirmation’, wore this off-the-shoulder white confection from Cavalli Couture.

Kerry always sparkles and shines on the red carpet, showing off her innate sense of style, and although we’ve seen her in shorter dresses of late, this t0-the-floor gown, with its white crystal leopard print design, is spectacular on her!

The swept back hair, dramatic dark eye and simple jewellery only added to the drama of this dress.
