Sophie Ellis-Bextor wore the red version of Kerry’s dress to a Chanel dinner party at Nobu London this week, but she made a very odd choice of wearing lime green shoes.

I like the idea of jazzy up the dress a bit, but the dress is already bright red, why take the attention away from that with horrid green shoes?

I love Sophie’s red version, but because of the shoes Kerry wins this for me.

But I chose Kerry Washington in Jason Wu. The dress is electric and the Stella McCartney satin pumps were the perfect compliment.

Since leaving American Idol I have had a soft spot for Kellie Pickler, mostly because she surprises me on the red carpet. I expect the worst and instead get his gorgeous fitted bronze gown by Dina Bar-El and an equally stunning gold Swarovski bag.

In the opposite scenario I always expect Carrie Underwood to look amazing, but her dresses always look like they have been made by Tina Knowles i.e. cheap and tacky.

I do love this Monique Lhuiller Spring 2008 dress LeAnn Rimes is wearing, but just not her in it.

She is not carrying it off well.

Kate Walsh looks sexy and sassy, like most people do who wear Dolce & Gabbana.

I especially love the sequined gold skirt and T-bar Louboutin’s.

Sheryl Crow looks very sexy chaneling the Tuxedo trend like so many stars on the red carpet lately.

That is a very long necklace she is wearing, almost half the length of her body.

Just hideous for Eva Longoria. I would have preferred if this vintage Arnold Scaasi dress was all in red, rather than half pink.

Lucy Liu wore a gorgeous black Valentino Couture Fall 2007 gown to this event. Lucy is not that tall and I think this dress only proves that fact.

Kerry Washington is one of the few women like Thandie Newton, Katherine Heigl and Iman who have been flawless on the red carpet this year.

Here she is wearing a Tory Burch Spring 2008 metallic silver shift dress.

Mandy Moore is wearing her own designs, Mblem. The only thing this dress tells me is that not all celebrity fashion collections can be as successful as Kate Moss for Topshop.

Back to the drawing board for Miss Moore, as the only good thing going on here is Mandy’s Louboutin Fringe Peep-Toe Sandals.

Jessica Simpson shows us that even in a classy dress like this Michael Kors Fall 2007 creation, she still manages to look tacky.

I love this new hair colour on her. She is known for her jet black hair, but this softens her face.

This dress is just a little to busy for Kerry Washington.

Serena Williams continues to get it right for her body shape. I am glad she stopped wearing those girlie outfits that just did not suit her.
