Get The Look: Kendall Jenner’s Vogue Foundation Gala Slick Ponytail

Get The Look Kendall Jenner's Vogue Foundation Gala Slick Ponytail

Celebrity hairstylist Christian Wood worked with Kendall Jenner for the Vogue Foundation Gala.
With regards to his inspiration, Christian said:

“As soon as I saw the dress I thought a super-slick and shiny ponytail would give a tough modern edge to the gorgeous Balmain dress.

To achieve this look, first blow dry hair straight using a Babyliss Pro Hair Dryer.

Next, part hair in the centre using a pin-tail comb. Rub Moroccan Oil onto the top and sides of hair and, using a Mason Pearson brush, slick the hair into a low tight ponytail. Secure with a bungee elastic. Wrap a small piece of hair around the elastic and secure with a pin to cover.

Spray Frederic Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray all over the head and quickly comb the hair into the ponytail to create a super-slick, tight and flyaway-free look.

Spray Frederic Fekkai Glossing Mist on the part, almost the same way one would use makeup highlighter to really pick up the shine under lights.

Quickly run a T3 Straightening Iron over the ends of the pony for a poker-straight glossy finish.”

Kim Kardashian & Kendall Jenner In Balmain – Vogue Foundation Gala

Kim Kardashian & Kendall Jenner In Balmain - Vogue Foundation Gala

Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner attended the Vogue Foundation Gala during Couture Fashion Week held at the Palais Galliera on Wednesday (July 9) in Paris, France following the Valentino Fall 2014 Couture show.

The reality star and model were part of Olivier Rousteing’s Balmain troop who attended en masse wearing looks from his Fall 2014 collection.

Kim Kardashian: Opting for a military look with a touch of animal magic, Kim donned a Fall 2014 look featuring a black corded top with gold detailing and a leopard-print skirt accented with a green waistband. Factor in those tan Hermes sandals and I have to say I don’t hate it (N.B. I don’t love it either).

Kendall Jenner: Having solidified her model status by walking in her first Couture show for Chanel earlier this week, Kendall looked super fierce donning a leather gladiator-style green frock, stripping back the runway styling of the Masai-style collar and tights and just opting for the mesh Balmain booties.

Kendall Jenner In Fausto Puglisi and Kylie Jenner In Nicholas Jebran – 2014 MuchMusic Video Awards

Kendall Jenner In Fausto Puglisi and Kylie Jenner - 2014 MuchMusic Video Awards

Kendall and Kylie Jenner were the hosts of the 2014 MuchMusic Video Awards held at MuchMusic HQ on Sunday (June 15) in Toronto, Canada.

Kendall Jenner: The 18-year-old model wore a Fausto Puglisi Fall 2013 white crepe and lilac long-sleeved crystal-embroidered gown with side slits which went as far as the waist. I would say I am shocked by this rather gross display of skin and lack of underwear, but attention-seeking and poor dress sense is in her DNA.

Kylie Jenner: The 16-year-old reality star wore a mini orange embellished Nicholas Jebran Fall 2014 dress with illusion panels styled with nude sandals.

Neither looked good. They should’ve looked young and fresh but they looked desperate for attention and overcooked.

Kendall Jenner In Olcay Gulsen – 2014 Billboard Music Awards

Kendall Jenner In Olcay Gulsen - 2014 Billboard Music Awards

After attending the Cannes Film Festival opening ceremony, Kendall Jenner jetted back to the States for her presenter duties at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday (May 18) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The model and reality star flaunted an Olcay Gulsen Spring 2014 jumpsuit, featuring a cutaway white halter top and shiny metallic, midnight-blue pants.

From the barely-there proportions of the top to the high-waist and cropped shape of the pants, this silhouette isn’t an easy one to wear. However, the statuesque Kendall rocks it well.

Silver sling-back pumps and a cylindrical clutch, along with board-straight locks and smoldering makeup, completed the look.

I have to say I like the streamlined sizzle that she brought to the show.

Kendall Jenner In Chanel - ‘Grace of Monaco’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere & Opening Ceremony

Kendall Jenner attended the opening ceremony and the ‘Grace of Monaco’ premiere during the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival this evening (May 14) as a guest of Chopard.

Dazzling in their jewels, the model wore an edgy look from Chanel’s Resort 2014 collection.

Unlike Karlie Kloss, Kendall was able to look youthful, sexy and chic, taking her look up a notch with sleek styling courtesy of her metallic-silver clutch and Stuart Weitzman sandals.

A slicked-back ponytail is the only thing missing from this look for me.
