Celebrities Love…Monochromatic Dressing

Donning color is a surefire way to make an outfit pop, especially when it’s expertly styled from head-to-toe.

Monochromatic dressing has once again resurfaced as one of summer’s major styling tips and fashion-forward celebrities have been pushing the limits of this trends to new heights—by strutting their best street-style looks in vibrant hues, soft neutrals, and varying shades in the same color family.

Bella Hadid: Dusty rose can be feminine by nature, but Bella Hadid’s look embraces the hue with a new sense of attitude by pairing a cropped crisscross top, slouchy pants and coordinating pointy-toe boots. Finish the look with a chain-link choker and knuckle rings for savvy street-style.

Hailey Baldwin: Fashion is full of surprises and when styled to a tee a tracksuit can be subtly sexy, especially when you’re decked out in the color of the season, red. The key to nailing a monochrome tracksuit is all about being bold. Hailey’s look commanded the streets in her Balenciaga sweatshirt, Danielle Guizio track pants, DSquared2 lace-up heels and topped it off with large gold hoops.

Kendall Jenner: Grey can often be a subdued hue, but Kendall Jenner’s latest monochromatic interpretation of the mild color is anything but. Take your next style cute by mixing chunky knit, two-toned gray jeans, white boots and a gray beanie for a look that will surely stand out in a crowd.

Zoë Kravitz: The famed actress is a style savant by nature and her utterly cool fashion sense never disappoints—even her off-duty style. For a sophisticated take on neutral monochromatic dressing opt for hues in soft oatmeal, tan and a dose of mahogany for simplistic style at its finest. Keep the neutral theme going by extending it with camel pointy-toed flats.

Cannes Fashion For Relief

The Fashion for Relief gala and runway show event was held during the 2017 Cannes Film Festival on Saturday (May 21), with attendees turning up the volume on their own fashion statements for the evening.

Naomi Campbell: Before gracing the runway at the event, the supermodel stunned in an Atelier Versace Spring 2017 gown with Santoni sandals and Bulgari jewels. The slithery, slit-to-there was Naomi’s version of a Grecian goddess look; I loved the movement of the diaphanous skirt and the shimmer of the knotted overlay that infused the look with an intriguing edge.

Uma Thurman: After her questionable last look, Uma redeemed herself a bit in this Atelier Versace embellished number styled with Giuseppe Zanotti sandals. However, am I alone in thinking the dress felt a bit dated?

Queen Rania Al-Abdullah of Jordan
: I have a feeling that this Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci dress was far more beautifully perceived in person with its tonal embroidery and lace underskirt. Its pristine-white polish is what kept me most interested.

Lewis Hamilton
: The British race car driver didn’t leave his sporty edge at home, bringing it to Cannes with this Gucci ‘Bee’ bomber jacket.

Chopard, Vanity Fair and HBO Cannes Parties

A Vanity Fair and HBO dinner party was held on Saturday (May 20) as part of the 2017 Cannes Film Festival, with a group of glamorous gals in attendance.

Julianne Moore: While the actress did stick to a darker colour palette, she brought a dose of whimsical fun in this Chanel Resort 2017 embellished gown with multi-hued, feathered pouf sleeves. Exchanging the pink sash for a black one along with a sleek bun and Chopard jewels ensured plenty of her signature modern elegance was brought to the table.

Kendall Jenner In Giambattista Valli Couture – ‘120 Beats Per Minute’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Kendall Jenner was giving us breezy elegance while gliding down the red carpet for the ‘120 Beats Per Minute (120 Battements Par Minute)’ premiere during the 2017 Cannes Film Festival this evening (May 20) wearing Giambattista Valli Couture.

The light-as-air silk chiffon and beautiful florals combine to makes a dreamy impression, but I’m more captivated by Kendall herself.

Kendall occasionally fails to sell clothes to me in the way other models do, but she was really working this gorgeous gown on this occasion.

Chopard jewels and a high bun completed her red carpet look.

If you’ve having a case of déjà vu, that’s may be because Rita Ora wore a similar gown from the same collection to the ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ LA premiere.
