2015 Coachella Music Festival Style Roundup

Coachella 1

When it comes to the Coachella Music Festival, boho style reigns supreme—right down to the ubiquitous flower crowns. This past weekend brought out a full range of Coachella cool-kids who marched to the beat of their own hippie drum in Indio, California.

Kendall Jenner: Infusing her Day 1 Coachella style with decidedly western appeal, the model paired her Derek Lam 10 Crosby Spring 2015 suede vest with a striped bikini top, ripped jorts, and Saint Laurent snakeskin booties. A tribal collar necklace and stacks of bangles took the look to the next level with a typical fringe hobo bag rounding it out.

Alessandra Ambrosio: Channeling her inner cowgirl during the fest and at the Forever 21 BBQ, the Brazilian supermodel naturally wore a skin-is-in look anchored by her Forever 21 suede fringe halter top and teeny cutoff denim shorts. I loved the addition of her turquoise jewelry, tall cowboy boots, and wide-brimmed cowboy hat for plenty of kitschy fun.

Gigi Hadid: Rocking another look with plenty of fringe benefits, Gigi was spotted on Day 2, where she added chains and charm to her ensemble consisting of an ASOS fringe suede collar, black cutoffs, a Guess body chain, and H&M ankle boots. With her long blonde windswept waves, she managed to put an adorable spin on Coachella dressing.

Who Wore Romona Keveza Better…Rachel McAdams or Kendall Jenner?

Who Wore Romona Keveza Better Rachel McAdams or Kendall Jenner

Rachel McAdams attended the 2014 Canada’s Walk Of Fame Awards back in October, wearing a Romona Keveza red silk crepe one-shoulder gown with a slim column skirt and black metal belt from the Fall 2014 collection.

Kendall Jenner wore the same gorgeous piece while attending the 2015 amfAR New York Gala in February, styling the look with gold glitter Christian Louboutin ‘Iriza’ pumps.

While I love the look with the belt, I much prefer Kendall’s overall styling of the look as I don’t favour Rachel’s pumps, so Miss Jenner wins for me.

Balmain Fall 2015 Show & After Dinner Party

Balmain Front Row

Balmain presented their Fall 2015 collection during Paris Fashion Week on Thursday (March 5).

Kim Kardashian: Not quite content with the attention she currently receives, the reality TV star used this occasion to showcase a new platinum-blonde hairdo (which I’m certain is a wig) while wearing an all-black look from the Pre-Fall 2015 collection.

Jared Leto: It seems like Jared had the same idea as he also used this show to showcase not only his blonde hair but also his shorter style. His front-row look was a tad confusing with its part-military, part-schoolboy, part-snow-bunny mash-up. What used to be quirky has started to become comical.

Emily Ratajkowski: Going for style over theatrics, the ‘Gone Girl’ actress wore a heavily beaded ivory and black frock from the Resort 2015 collection, which was sexy without being revealing. It looks like she’s finally found a happy medium.

2015 amfAR New York Gala Red Carpet Roundup

2015 amfAR New York Gala Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a quick roundup of some of the other attendees at the 2015 amfAR New York Gala at Cipriani Wall Street on Wednesday (February 11) in New York City.

Kendall Jenner: The model wore a striking red Romona Keveza Fall 2014 sleek asymmetrical gown styled with gold glitter Christian Louboutin ‘Iriza’ pumps and working a Gigi Hadid slicked-back do. You may remember that Rachel McAdams wore this same dress last year.

Toni Garrn: I love Toni but, as beautiful as she looks here, her love for Elie Saab lace gowns is starting to get repetitive. Here she opts for white following black and green offerings in the past. This look was styled with a Rauwolf clutch and Giuseppe Zanotti Design black suede sandal with golden leaf embellishments. If I had access to Elie Saab that’s all I would wear too, but I wish she would consider some of the other dresses on offer. A printed Elie Saab dress wouldn’t go amiss.

Iman: Shutting down the red carpet, the supermodel showed the youngsters how it’s done wearing a striped colourful look from Balmain’s Spring 2015 collection. Oozing natural style of the like the aforementioned could only dream about, this was one of my favourites of the bunch.

Models @ The 2014 British Fashion Awards

Models @ The 2014 2014 British Fashion Awards

A host of models held court at the 2014 British Fashion Awards, where the runway stunners took to the red carpet at the London Coliseum in London, England on Monday (December 1).

Daisy Lowe: She may have been dressed in shades of blush-pink, but there was a sexy side to all that sweetness with her Antonio Berardi asymmetrical, figure-hugging gown that was slit to her hip. A heart-embellished clutch by Charlotte Olympia finished the look on a lighthearted note.

Suki Waterhouse: From shades of pink to shades of blue, the model subscribed to the sheer trend in a Burberry Prorsum Spring 2015 tiered and pleated, navy ombre-inspired frock that was perhaps one shade too see-through. Gold metallic sandals provided a spirited contrast, but the baby-blue edged purse had no business here.

Joan Smalls: This Tom Ford scoop-neck LBD was sliced and diced with side cutouts and slits galore. She completed the skin-baring look with black Givenchy heels and a Rauwolf clutch.

Kendall Jenner In Yigal Azrouël – 2014 American Music Awards

Kendall Jenner In Yigal Azrouël - 2014 American Music Awards

Kendall Jenner attended the 2014 American Music Awards, hosted on Sunday night (November 23) at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California.

Dressed in a Yigal Azrouël Spring 2014 black and nude dress, the model showed off the sexier side of cotton eyelet with this see-through number.

With her svelte, statuesque frame, she manages to pull off this tricky little whisper of a dress that’s slit-to-there in front. In fact, with her sleek straight hair and simple black heels, I like her interpretation of the gown far better than the runway version.

Still, I have a feeling this sheer look will be highly divisive between love and hate. Attention-grabbing in a good way or a bad way?
