Kelly Rowland In Rami Al Ali Couture – 2013 Billboard Music Awards

Kelly Rowland made a dazzling, near dizzying entrance at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Wearing another of this evening’s shiny confections, the singer selected a Rami Al Ali Spring 2013 Couture silver gown embossed with holographic-like paillettes.

On the runway, this long, wraparound dress was reminiscent of a modern ‘Great Gatsby’ mood. But, on Kelly, with the silhouette snugged up and the slit way more defined, the vibe changed from a ’20s ball gown to a straight-up disco-ball.

I’m glad she opted for a single-strand necklace and a small bangle, rather than piling on even more glitz with too-many jewels. A heavy fringe bang and a lavender-pink lippie finished the look.

Kelly Rowland In Izmaylova – 24th Annual GLAAD Media Awards

Kelly Rowland took to the red carpet at the 24th Annual GLAAD Media Awards held at the JW Marriott Los Angeles at L.A. Live on Saturday in California, prior to taking to the stage for her performance.

Sporting an updo with blunt bangs, the singer wore an Izmaylova jumpsuit.

Her ivory silk jumpsuit featuring sheer panelling was styled with white Giuseppe Zanotti stacked peep-toe platforms.

I’m looking forward to the day when platform heels go out of style.

Adding a pop of colour via her neon-pink manicure, the singer accessorized with black-and-gold-dipped earrings and a gold cuff.

From the ankles up, this is a great look.

Coachella 2013

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, which kicked off this past weekend, is always a hotbed of eclectic, look-at-that ensembles, as the fest flaunts an anything-goes attitude that many stars are plenty keen to adopt. Cutoffs, crop tops and crochet all come out of the closet, and it’s the one time where even the most reprehensible faux-pas can get a free pass on the fairground—even if they shouldn’t.

Kristen Stewart: The most memorable part of this Kristen sighting was that she was arm-in-arm with her on-and-off boyfriend, Robert Pattinson. Her T-shirt, too-short shorts and Converse kicks were a complete yawn and paled in comparison to Coachella’s other cool and crazy looks. Of course, she would probably say she’s just there for the music not the photo op.

Solange Knowles: The singer continued her love affair with colour and print in this bubblegum-pink Hawaiian floral skirt and melon-orange CC Skye box clutch. Here, though, her go-to style didn’t work so well. The slit was too high, and her white Stuart Weitzman sandals were far too mumsy. She just looked uncomfortable.

Bella Thorne: The up-and-coming starlet really was the flower-child of the fest with her tiara of blooms worn atop her long auburn strands. At only 15, she can get away with shredded denim, a mesh shirt and sneakers, and still look charming.

4th Annual ELLE Women in Music Celebration

There were many more PYTs on the red carpet at the Edison Ballroom in New York City yesterday evening for Elle’s Women in Music Celebration.

Kelly Rowland: Keeping her look uber casual, the singer wore a white tee paired with black leather pants. Silver Saint Laurent ‘Paloma’ sandals – which we’ve seen in gold on Jada Pinkett Smith – and a stack of bracelets which complemented her necklace and ring completed her look. I’m still longing for the day she returns to her cropped ‘do.

DJ Kiss: The superstar DJ opted to break up the runway, pairing her Peter Pilotto Spring 2013 ‘Lauena’ printed skirt with a black silk sleeveless top. I love the bright-orange lip and the swirling cuff, but the ankle-strap heels weigh down the look.

June Ambrose: The chic stylist wore a BCBG Max Azria ‘Sur’ printed shawl-lapel blazer with matching BCBG Max Azria ‘Clay’ printed pants and a solid black tank top. While I’m not fond of the stark white pumps on this occasion, I do like that she, as always, thought outside of the black-pump box.

Kelly Rowland In Fendi – 6th Annual Essence Black Women In Hollywood Awards

Kelly Rowland posed for photos at the 6th Annual Essence Black Women in Hollywood luncheon at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Thursday.

The singer, whose album ‘Talk a Good Game’ drops later the year, wore a frock from Fendi Resort 2013 with t-strap heels and a gold, chain link bracelet.

The navy and yellow dress is on-trend with spring’s color-blocking look, but unfortunately the dramatic sleeve seen in the lookbook is much more deflated in real wear on Kelly. Plus, the down hairstyle masks any potential sleeve volume from view.

Don’t get me wrong, Kelly looks good and very appropriate for the luncheon event, but I’m underwhelmed by look because I know the sassy, risk-taking fashion sense she has. Remember her peekaboo Grammy gown and this magical mirrored number? That’s the edge I’m used to seeing Kelly in, and I wish she hadn’t strayed so far.

Bianca Balti and Abigail Spencer have also worn this two-hued dress. Who do you think it suits best?

Kelly Rowland In Georges Chakra – 2013 Grammy Awards

Fresh off her Super Bowl XLVII performance last week, Kelly Rowland dialed up the wow factor again at the 2013 Grammy Awards, hosted at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on Sunday night.

One of the evening’s presenters, she pushed the Grammys envelope with her Georges Chakra black gown from the Spring 2013 Couture collection.

The songstress had fun with geometry in this provocative dress that featured strategically placed, razor-sharp cutouts and a flurry of tulle at the bottom.

Kelly was definitely playing a fierce fashion game with this revealing statement

The runway version was altered by the addition of another black panel at the bodice to make this look ever-so-slightly more conservative.

Huge emerald rings and bold matching earrings from Lorraine Schwartz, along with a sleek low updo and blunt bang, completed the look.
