Keira Knightley took to the red carpet last night for the world premiere of The Duchess with co-stars Ralph Fiennes and Dominic Cooper.

She was wearing a stunning blue knee-length Alexis Mabille Fall 2008 Couture dress with lacy frilled neckline and hem. She wore Chanel jewelery, black Moschino pumps, and her hair was swept up in a simple chignon to complete her Hollywood star look.

Keira’s boyfriend Rupert Friend, was perfectly colour coordinated wearing a matching blue suit.

The list for Best Dressed Of The Week gets longer and longer.

Alexis Mabille showed his first collection at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week back in June, so it is great for him that someone like Keira is wearing one of his dresses.

For someone who disappeared off the radar for a while, British actress Keira Knightley is back with a bang, as she appears on 3 September 2008 magazine covers. Vogue US, Tatler UK and Glamour UK.

The biggest is obviously Vogue US, but this cover has come in for the most criticism.

Many fashion watchers have said – and I agree – that Keira’s hair is very messy, to the point were one wonders if a hairstylist was even on set.

Keira can normally pull off anything, but the Balenciaga ensemble she is wearing is also not working for me.

What I do love about all these covers is that Keira is not over pouting, which she usually does.

My favourite cover is the Tatler UK cover, were she is wearing a pink ruffled Prada dress.

Keira’s Vogue cover is not that great, but her editorial is amazing.

It has been a while since we saw Keira Knightley as a cover girl and here she is gracing the cover of UK Glamour September 2008 edition.

Keira Knightley says she’s finally comfortable with her figure despite being under constant scrutiny over her weight. She says she recently hired a personal trainer, who has helped her feel better about her appearance.

Here are some more extracts from her interview:

On her own style:“My style has changed because I didn’t have any style.”

On buying designer clothing: “I think as you get more well known, more designers lend you dresses. But you always give them back like Cinderella because you shouldn’t be buying them; £20,000 for one night?! As far as expensive stuff goes , I’m not good at shopping – I’m better at cheap stuff.”

On her friendships with other women: “I don’t think I’m very good at figuring out female friendships. I think they’re quite tricky to navigate. I have a lot of friends who are guys and I find that manipulation and jealousy don’t come into it as much, whereas those things can happen easily between women.”

On Sienna Miller: “I love Sienna. I think she is a wonderful actress. But we’ve been like two ships in the passing night recently. I think that’s what’s lovely but also sad about acting. You get incredibly close to people for that moment and as soon as it’s over you don’t see each other. You’re away from home, in this case Wales. It’s a very intense relationship for a while, and then it’s not anymore.”

On her first singing audition for the remake of My Fair Lady: “I told him [producer, Cameron Mackintosh] that [getting drunk] would be the only way I could sing in front of everyone.”

On her own insecurities: “At this particular time, I probably am more comfortable with myself. But I don’t believe anybody who says they don’t have any insecurities and moments of feeling completely crap about themselves. I don’t think it does anybody any good to pretend those moments don’t exist. But just now I’m having a lovely time.”

The Edge Of Love – Private VIP Party

After wearing Chanel to the premiere Keira Knightley opted for a British designer for The Edge of Love private party.

The statuesque actress wore a strapless purple pleated Erdem Fall 2008 dress which has a beautiful rosette detail on the bust and a layered skirt.

Sienna Miller first wore a strapless red vintage Dior dress, the actress then changed into a cream Jasmine Di Milo dress, with an asymmetric ruffle detail for her appearance on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross.

Two great looks, but I am loving the Dior dress.

“Meet The Actors” hosted at the Apple Store Soho, New York

Anne Hathaway does not let her recent breakup get to her, as she keeps smiling during her promotion of her new movie Get Smart.

Anne wore a very interesting sleeveless navy Preen Fall 2008 trench dress with gold Giuseppe Zanotti pumps.

As I have said recently I am loving this edgier direction, which is such a contrast to her classic beauty.

3.1 Phillip Lim Los Angeles Store Opening, LA

Trendsetter Camilla Belle never lets me down. Here the actress opted for the best dress from the recent 3.1 Philip Lim Resort 2009 collection.

The beautiful sleeveless dress has multi-coloured sequins adorning the dress, which she wears with a brown leather belt and black 3.1 Philip Lim Fall 2008 pumps.

Emmy Rossum stands out the most in this mango 3.1 Phillip Lim Siamese Fish dress which she wears with a black leather belt and black peep-toes.

Jennifer Morrison is very chic wearing pearls with her navy structured dress. I love the tiered ruffles on the skirt.

Kate Walsh embodied the spirit of summer in this floaty chiffon print dress.

“The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian” Premiere, London

Anna Popplewell looks positively radiant in her purple Maria Grachvogel dress. The teenager looks very grown up, yet age appropriate.

Get Smart Screening, New York

Anne Hathaway is having a great week. If it weren’t for Charlize Theron’s red carpet masterclass, Anne would have been a contender for Best Dressed Of The Week.

For this event she wore a navy Jasmine Di Milo Fall 2008 dress, with structured shoulders which had an overlapping skirt. To complete the look she wore snake-skin Brian Atwood pumps.

I would have liked to have seen Anne wear a belt with this dress, as it appeared on the runway.

I much prefer her hair sleek like this.

Cartier Celebrates 3rd Annual LOVEDAY, New York

Rihanna is dripping in a Cartier jewels, from her encrusted tiara, two Lotus rings, diamond stud earrings, a diamond dome ring, and a silk bracelet.

I am so jealous if she gets to keep it all.

The singer wore a strapless bubble hemmed mini PPQ Spring 2008 dress, and a pair of the new Christian Louboutin Trottinette ankle boots.

MTV TRL, New York

Anne Hathaway this time goes very casual to TRL.

The actress opts for a blazer with leather trousers and a simple white tee.

This is my least favourite of her looks on this post.

I love Brittany Snow’s skirt, and wish she had worn something different on top, although the navy boyfriend sweater does work.

39th Annual Songwriters Hall of Fame Ceremony, New York

I like to give credit were credit is due, and Agyness Deyn definitely deserves it here.

The model has cleaned up for this event, which she arrived to with curly haired Musician Albert Hammond Jr.

Gone is the wild spiky unruly hair, and instead we have a sleek golden crop and a flawless complexion.

Agyness has a great body ,and she shows it off here in a black figure-hugging sophisticated, floor-length gown with a pair of sparkling Christian Louboutin Alta Perla Strass slingbacks.

Damiani Press Event, LA

I am torn.

I love the colour of Sharon Stone’s dress and her hairstyle, but I dislike the bodice of this dress as it looks very restricting.

E for effort.

BET, Washington

Many of us believed when we first saw these Balenciaga Spring 2008 black and white woven boots, that one of the Olsen twins would be the wear them first, but surprisingly it was Rihanna.

She wore her edgy boots with an all black ensemble.

Cartier Charity Love Bracelet Launch, LA

I was not crazy about this orange burnt velvet brocade rose detailed Christian Dior Spring 2008 dress when I saw it on the runway, but Eva Mendes really gives the dress life, and makes it very appealing.

Chloe Sevigny ‘oh how I have miss thee, let me count the ways’.

The quirky actress has been missing from the red carpet for a while, so it was always refreshing to see her return wearing this simple, but beautiful ivory Sonia Rykiel Fall 2008 dress.

I am loving the glossy straight hair.

Ashanti needed a fabulous dress to match the multi-million dollars worth of jewels she was wearing, so she opted for a creme vintage Thierry Mugler cocktail dress with lattice collar from Decades Inc.

The R&B singer has been hitting the right notes both professionally and visually here on the red carpet.

Eve is truly stunning in this black figure-hugging plunge-neck Rachel Pally gown.

The rapper/actress is of course blinged out with Cartier jewels, but it is her sequined Chanel purse that really caught my eye.

Bridget Moynahan opted for a emerald green one-shouldered knee length cocktail Angel Sanchez dress, with black peep-toes.

Janet Jackson goes through very weird style phases, and I am guessing this is her “baggy” phase.

Those pants are ridiculously big and too long for her, even the hem is falling apart.

Nicole Richie is wearing a floral Dries Van Noten Spring 2008 maxi dress with beaded detail around the neck.

You may remember at the 2008 Oscars that Cate Blanchett wore a very similar Dries Van Noten dress with a beaded neckline.

Fergie gold and silver printed Derercuny Fall 2008 dress with Cartier jewels were totally upstaged by her stunning Jimmy Choo gladiator heels.

Regular readers will know I had a problem with Emmy Rossum’s cutesy promo queen style for a while. Then came the transformation and all was forgiven.

I was gearing up to say how much I liked Emmy in this pale blue satin Dior dress when I saw the side ponytail.

Side ponytails when you are above the age of 10 is just not a great idea.

What she gives with one hand, she takes away with the other.

Haylie Duff shows off her gold earrings, whilst looking incredibly sexy in this strapless LBD with snake-skin heels.

I am not a fan of eye make-up for myself, but I love the shimmering blue eyes on Hilary Duff, which of course matches her blue 3.1 Philip Lim bandeau dress.

Her heels are just awesome.

“Finding Amanda” Screening, New York

Brittany Snow’s eggplant Jill Stuart dress and matching shoes are cute. I love the detail on the bodice.

“The Edge Of Love” Premiere, Edinburgh, Scotland

The stars of The Edge Of Love were suitable colour co-ordinated for their premiere last night.

Sienna Miller wore a long black fringed Jasmine Di Milo Spring 2008 dress with a bowler hat and a Balenciaga clutch.

Her co-star Keira Knightley was less quirky wearing an ivory Chanel Resort 2009 jumpsuit and black sequined couture bolero.

Today Keira Knightley attended a photocall with co-stars Sienna Miller and Matthew Rhys for their new movie, The Edge of Love in Edinburgh, Scotland.

The pouting actress wore a Floral print blouse from Topshop (£35), which has a black contrasting collar and cuff hem.

Keira wore her top with a black pencil skirt and black booties.

Sienna Miller wore a knitted Twenty8Twelve Gaston striped dress ($230) from her own collection with a black cardigan, black booties and clear framed sunglasses.

Both actress look effortlessly cool in their very different styles.
