Look 1: Flaunting cotton candy-hued hair, the songstress channeled her inner flower-child in a Valentino Haute Couture dress and cape, designed especially for her by Creative Directors, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli. A rather whimsical creation, the fluttery tulle gown is embellished with butterfly wing inserts on the bodice and flying butterflies on the skirt, while the cape added to the fanciful flair, as it was embroidered with nacre micro sequins and lined with a multi-colour organza butterfly. A sunflower-adorned microphone stand and glittery flower guitar only enhanced the free-spirited mood.
Roberto Cavalli has created two looks specially for Katy Perry’s ‘Prismatic World Tour’, which kicks off in Belfast, Ireland on Wednesday (May 7).
Working the prismatic theme to a tee.
Look One, the ‘Kaleidoscope Brodè’ dress, is fully embroidered with prism crystals, sequins and iridescent micro-bugle beads.
The dress is highlighted by a tulle plastron with patchwork motifs made in leather for a holographic mirror effect which creates tri-dimensional reflections.
The micro-mini look will have plenty of movement via the fringed hemline.
Look Two, ‘Crocodile Scarab’, features two micro pieces: a sporty halter top and a pleated skirt.
This look will be emphasized by a multi-reflection effect created by the mirrored multi-coloured leather, with a crocodile graphic appliqué on a multilayered light mousseline silk lamé fabric.
The mini ‘Perfecto’ biker jacket created in printed leather will be emphasized with a holographic reptile motif.
It is easy to picture Katy in these looks, including the multi-coloured ponytail pictured in these graphics.
I have no doubt that quirky Katy will be out in full force during this tour, as she should be.

Katy Perry was spotted making her way to ABC studios in Hollywood, California to make a guest appearance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ on Monday (April 21).
Still rocking that hideous green hair, the singer attempted to soften the impact via the green panel on her Roland Mouret Spring 2014 dress.
The figure-flattering frock, with horizontal stripes at the front and vertical stripes at the sides, features leather straps and the designer’s signature fold detailing.
A bold berry lip, chunky silver link-chain bracelet and Brian Atwood ‘Besame’ pumps provided the finishing touches to her look.
Sadly, until she reverts to a more favourable hair colour, it will be hard to like any of her looks.

Katy Perry attended congressional candidate Marianne Williamson’s press event on Tuesday (April 8) in Los Angeles, California.
I was very excited about this look as I posted this same Suno cut-out frock with rich-purple and citrus-green floral print on my Must-Have Monday list this week.
Katy sadly didn’t opt for the Aquazzura ‘Athena’ leather sandals I suggested, instead selecting black open-toe platforms.
When I first saw this photo I thought the green was a part of the foliage in the background, but it’s actually a green wig, which puts this look in a whole new, less favourable, light.
Why, just why?
She wore Delfina Delettrez earrings.
Katy Perry attended the MOCA 35th anniversary gala celebration held at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA on Saturday (March 29) in Los Angeles, California.
Instead of donning Louis Vuitton, like Chloe Sevigny, Dianna Agron and Haley Bennett, the singer turned to Versace.
Turning up the heat, she wore a Versace Collection high-neck ultra-modern black dress featuring neon-yellow-lined panels at both the front and back which she amped up with neon-yellow bracelets and an Edie Parker ‘Lara’ white-pearl clutch with glow-in-the-dark sides.
While the Christian Louboutin ‘Miss Rigidaine’ shoes with their pink PVC panels are a tad out of step with the rest of this look, I love how the look screams high-octane glamour without being trashy or revealing.
It’s a shame no one was on hand to smooth down her wig.
The songstress was full of sweetness and sunshine in her Giambattista Valli Resort 2014 dress and matching coat, which she wore with patent nude Christian Louboutin heels.
Clustered in a garden of mini blooms and butterflies, the colourful ensemble and its whimsical print delivered on a bit of the quirk we expect from Katy. So, too, did her retro, Ralph Lauren Western Eyewear Collection cat-eye sun style in cream horne vintage finish and the current Cleopatra black bob she’s been flaunting.
Are you catching the floral fever?
