Katie Holmes In Balenciaga - Tiffany & Co

Katie Holmes joined Kate Bosworth and Jessica Biel on the red carpet for Tiffany’s 2014 Blue Book Gala at the Guggenheim Museum on Thursday (April 10) in New York City.

The actress didn’t opt for a gown, instead keeping it simple wearing a black Balenciaga mini with a white layered skirt.

Styled with black Manolo Blahnik pumps and Tiffany jewels, my plea to Katie is, please try harder. This is a photocall look at best.

Donna Karan Fall 2014 Front Row

Donna Karan, celebrating 30 years in the industry, had a star-studded front row at its New York Fashion Week show, including Rita Ora and Katie Holmes.

Kate Holmes: The actress wore a sexy Donna Karan look, donning a black halter-neck-style leather top nipped in at the waist, and a long pleated on-trend sheer skirt for the evening show. Tousled waves and soft makeup in nude hues rounded out her look. For me, it’s been a very long while since she looked this good.

Rita Ora: The British singer, and star of DKNY’s current ad campaign, took her brand of sexy down a very obvious route, wearing a Donna Karan black sheer-sleeved dress with a plunging neckline and gathered waist. Of course, the red lip was present, with black smoky eyes and sleek tresses. A selection of gold chains to complement her sandals accessorized her look.

Katie Holmes In Azzedine Alaia - 'Gravity' New York Premiere

Katie Holmes made a rare appearance on the red carpet to attend the ‘Gravity’ premiere held at AMC Lincoln Square Theater in New York City yesterday evening alongside Sandra Bullock and Emma Watson.

More often than not I find Katie a tad bland on the red carpet, but she looked divine showing off her gams in this pretty pink Alaïa skater dress with a pleated skirt.

Her styling was kept simple and sweet with a ponytail, glossy pink lips and leg-lengthening nude Michael Kors ‘Avra’ pumps.

Front Row @ Michael Kors Spring 2014

Michael Kors presented his Spring 2014 collection in The Theatre at Lincoln Center in New York City during Mercedes Benz Fashion week and the front row was lit up with many PYTs.

Kate Mara: I love how opposite Kate is to her noir-loving sister, Rooney Mara. Kate looked sensational in this carnation-pink long-sleeved Michael Kors Pre-Fall 2013 dress with a flared hem. Like Katie she opted for nude Michael Kors accessories, with her red hair worn down on this rare occasion.

Katie Holmes: Having presented her Holmes & Yang collection a few days before, a relaxed and refreshed star took her front row seat looking radiant wearing a pretty mid-calf 50s-style Michael Kors Pre-Fall 2013 skirt with a romantic rose-print styled with a leaf cashmere knit sweater, nude belt, clutch and ‘Avra’ pumps from the same collection.

Harley Viera-Newton: Working a chic Park-Avenue-princess look, the socialite wore a pink cropped jacket with the matching strapless dress and white ‘Evelyn’ pumps from Michael Kors’ Pre-Fall 2013 collection with white-rimmed shades and a white clutch. You may remember that Naya Rivera wore the same dress sans cropped jacket recently.

Summer Party On The Highline, Presented By Coach

Last night, a bevy of ‘it-list’ beauties gathered for a carnival-themed Summer Party, presented by Coach, on New York City’s High Line. Here, some of the looks that weren’t all as light and luscious as I was anticipating.

Katie Holmes: The actress-cum-designer kept it cool in a white one-shoulder Chloé Resort 2013 dress, accented with a mauve Coach ‘Madison’ gathered twist clutch, brown Azzedine Alaïa gladiator sandals and black-lacquered nails. The silhouette could have been more flattering, as I don’t love what the gathered dropped waist is doing to her figure at this angle.

Naomi Watts: Pretty in light pink, Naomi wore a loose, button-down See by Chloé shirtdress with white Bruno Magli sandals. Her metallic-accented, leopard-print sunnies added some of the pop I was originally seeking. A Coach Poppy Mirror metallic flight bag completed her look.

Connie Britton: The ‘Nashville’ star stood out in a breezy, aqua-blue high-low dress, grounded with a pair of chocolate-brown platform sandals. She definitely wins the best hair award of the group, as it’s hard to argue with her effortless auburn waves.

Anna Kendrick: Seemingly neither ready for summer or for a festive party, the actress took a darker approach, which looked hot—literally. Black on top of black came with her skinny jeans, a leather vest, and a sheer, geometrically printed Joe’s blouse. She carried a chain-strap Coach Legacy flight bag . My feet hurt just a little seeing those heels at an event like this.

Who Wore Chloe Better Katie Holmes, Marion Cotillard or Emma Stone

Back in January, Katie Holmes took to the red carpet for the Manhattan Theater Club’s ‘The Other Place’ Broadway opening night performance in New York City.

She topped off her ivory-and-black look with a teal blazer from the Chloé Resort 2013 collection which features notched lapels and three-quarter-length sleeves.

Marion Cotillard wore the same blazer last month while attending the Maud Fontenoy Foundation Annual Gala in Paris, France. She, of course, wore her razor-sharp blazer with a Dior look.

After seeing two ways to dress up this Chloé blazer, Emma Stone’s look was more laidback while filming scenes in New York City for ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ yesterday afternoon.

She styled the blazer with a beanie hat, floral blouse, dark-wash jeans, pink brogues and a tan Cambridge satchel.

I’m torn between Katie and Emma. In the end I picked Emma because the look feels more co-ordinated and I’m not too fond of Katie’s shoe choice.
