Red Carpet Fashion Awards

TV personality Terri Seymour arrived at the “Women In Film’s 2009 Crystal + Lucy Awards”, last week looking drop-dead gorgeous wearing a RM by Roland Mouret Fluro dress with a pleated neckline.

The stunning dress flattered her amazing figure and the colour really popped against the red background.

Opera singer Katherine Jenkins posed pictures when she arrived on the first day of Royal Ascot 2009 in England earlier this week, wearing the same dress in an eye-popping fuchsia pink colour.

This colour is sold exclusively at Browns Fashion.

Her slim-fitting fuchsia pink dress matched her Philip Treacy hat with giant pink blooms. Nude heels completed the look.

In the posed picture above you’ll notice that Katherine tuck in the triangle shape detail on the neckline to show-off her cleavage *envy envy*, but in when she’s walking around the course the detail is back in place.

Both ladies opted for a bold colours but I adore Katherine pink version, plus her hat is amazing so she win this for me.

The coral dress and the pink dress are both available to purchase from Browns Fashion for £850/€1,006.75/$1,396.38.

Myleene Klass hosted the Classical Brit Awards, but she made sure she was center of attention on the red carpet.

The Singer and TV presenter graced the red carpet looking like an elegant swan, wearing a white strapless Joe Challita gown, with a black waist belt.

I love the sweetheart neckline, and the lace ruffled skirt and train.

Her only piece of bling, was her gold Erickson Beamon cuff.

Myleene later changed into another strapless gown. This time it was a pillar box red ruffled Jasper Conran gown, with a rise and fall hem.

The skirt of the gown showed off her nude Christian Louboutin heels.

Cute, but I much prefer the first gown.

Classical singer Katherine Jenkins arrived at this event wearing a lilac J Mendel gown, with a very interesting gathered neckline.

For some reason I feel more drawn to her fan shaped clutch, than her gown.

Katherine changed into a pink embellished gown, for her performance with tenor Placido Domingo.

The pink is cute, but I really have huge disliking for gowns with nude illusions. It evokes images of ice-skaters.

Best Dressed Award
This J. Mendel strapless tulle mermaid gown may have been OTT for some of you, but I loved Nicola Roberts in this dress.

For the first time she really stands out from the group. She is glowing, and I particularly love her hair and make-up.

Becki Newton has also worn this dress.

Best Group Award
Girls Aloud as a group looked fantastic last night.

From left to right, Nadine Coyle wore a peachy strapless William Tempest dress with matching Giuseppe Zanotti peep-toes.

Kimberly Walsh opted for a white plunging Roberto Cavalli Spring 2009 gown, with cut-outs and embellished trims.

Sarah Harding opted for a sexy Vivienne Westwood peachy taffeta dress, with a very revealing split up the side and satin champagne Christian Louboutin pointy heels. Her hair was style waves.

I will say that Cheryl Cole on the far right, did disappoint me slightly, as the top part of her Georges Chakra dress does not work for me.

Best Black Award
Kylie Minogue looked radiant in a black sequinned floor-length strapless Dolce & Gabbana gown, which had an embellished bow detailed sash.

Best Embellishments Award
Taylor Swift loves to sparkle on the red carpet. She took a break from wearing an embellished dress at the Grammy’s, but she reverted back to her red carpet favourite last night, wearing a silver strapless stone sequin mini Kaufman Franco dress.

Best Use Of Colour Award
I’m in love with electric blue this season, so Alexandra Burke had to make my Best Dressed List wearing a Emilio de la Moreno round neck fitted dress, which she wears with black sgtrappy Christian Louboutin buckle sandals.

Most Daring Award
The singer know as Little Boots, embraced the spirit of this rock n’ roll event by wearing an geometric Alexander McQueen Spring 2009 dress, with YSL grey patent heels.

Most Improved Award
OK it’s still black, but Duffy look considerably better from her Grammy disasters.

Her LBD from Paule Ka’s Spring 2009 collection, I thought looked quite stylish, and her nude and black trim peep-toes complimented her dress very well.

Kinda Like It Award
I was ready to instantly dislike Pixie Geldof’s look before I even saw it, but I actually kinda like it.

Best On Trend Shoe Award
Katherine Jenkins is wearing what is fast becoming the celebrity shoe of choice, the neon pink Alexander McQueen Heart peep-toe pumps.

I personally find this refreshing from the YSL Trib Two’s, which I’m quite frankly tired of seeing on the red carpet.

The singer wore a Azzedine Alaia figure-hugging LWD.

Most Charitable Award
Katy Perry’s bustier was designed by The Blonds to raise money for The Educational Foundation for the Fashion Industries. You can already bid for this Hello Kitty bustier with pink and silver chains, and black beads on Ebay.

Her gladiator heels and leggings are not for sale.

Hayden Panettiere unfortunately could bring the LA sunshine to this rain soaked event last night, but she did delight in this red empire-waist Moschino Spring 2008 mini dress, with an exaggerated double tiered flounce hem and cap sleeves.

She completed her look with a pair of bronze Christian Louboutin peep-toes.

The Giles Spring 2008 prom-esqe dress Lily Allen was wearing looks very cute, but is decorated with prints of a bleeding Bambi’s. Not so cute.

What is also not so cute is Lily’s hair. I mean is she for real?

Yes it matches her dress, but just does not work in the grand scheme of things. I preferred her dark roots.

She teamed her dress with a pair of multi-blue Louis Vuitton shoes.

TV presenter Alexa Chung opted for a Luella Spring 2008 peasant-style embroidered strapless minidress, with black booties.

Beth Ditto’s Matthew Williamson Fall 2007 dress could not be any louder, but I continue to applaud her for not taking the safe route.

Her gold gladiator heels are by Alexander McQueen.

Estelle wore a chiffon black LBD from the Kristian Aadnevik Spring 2008 collection, with the bust and waist emphasised with sexy leather details. She teamed the dress with a pair of leather Sergio Rossi black lace sandals.

Emma Bunton will never shake off that “baby” tag, but she is all woman in her black beaded J’Aton Couture gown, which had a plunging neckline and a wide patent belt.

The new mum showed off her new chic bobbed hairstyle.

Dannii Minogue also wore a J’Aton Couture gown. Her stunning white gown was beaded throughout.

Danni is either glowing, or she moisturized very well before leaving for this event.

Geri Halliwell channelled her inner glamour-puss in a blue embroidered wet-look gown, complete with a fur boa.

Not a look I would favour, but Geri makes it work.

Mel B was determined to be the Spice Girl who stood out, and did so in this fuchsia v-front gown by Jenny Packham.

The dress is loud and revealing, but I would not expect anything less from her.

Tamara Mellon of Jimmy Choo won Accessories Designer Of The Year wearing a forest green mini Balmain Spring 2008 dress.

Keeley Hawes who won, UK TV Actress Of The Year, wore one of the most one of the most spectacular dresses of the evening.

Her voluminous, corseted cream gown is just a artistic master piece. She teamed the gown with bronze shoes.

Kate Beckinsale was named Film Actress Of The Year and collected her award wearing a chocolate full-length halter-neck Herve Leroux gown, with her hair loosely tied-up.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, the new face for Burberry, looks very elegant in her terracotta gown and fur boa.

Kelly Osbourne opted for a vintage embroidered gown, from her mothers collection.

Joanna Page, winner of Comedy Actress of The Year, wore a cute silk frilly butterfly print Matthew Williamson Spring 2008 dress.

Kimberly Stewart opted for a short purple satin tunic dress with Miu Miu heels.

With her Jimmy Choo Aster snakeskin sandals, Katherine Jenkins wore this Hervé Léger Color block bandage dress.

This is a huge change for Katherine, as we are used to seeing her in structured dresses or cute frilly dresses. I would have preferred if she had opted for a more wild and adventurous hair style to fit the dress.

Model Daisy Lowe wore a strapless squared tulip dress and red shoes, whilst her beau Mark Ronson, opted for a classic velvet tuxedo. They are so hip it hurts.

Ferne Cotton wore a black silk Moschino minidress with Jimmy Choo heels that had a fuschia platform and heel.

Britain’s Next Top Model judge Lisa Snowdon, wore a very interesting tuxedo-style mini dress.

Annie Lennox won the Inspiration Award and was very much the golden girl in her sequined dress.

Kylie Minogue won the International Female Solo Artist Award at tonight’s Brit Awards. I keep forgetting she is Australian, as she has played a very large part in British pop culture.

Tonight Kylie went for all-out-glamour. She wore a sparkly strapless velvet vintage black dress by Vicky Tiel.

The sparkles were also dripping from her ears and around her neck.

Fabulous.

Rihanna looked incredibly cute wearing a metallic silver dress by Dolce & Gabbana, with matching silver shoes.

Rihanna surprisingly did not win any awards tonight.

The Gossip singer Beth Ditto looks looks like a cute sugar plum fairy in her pretty pink prom dress which was custom-made by Luella.

Adele won the Music Critic’s Award, but she loses in the style stakes wearing all black. Beth Ditto needs to give Adele style tips.

This gold mini dress is just too cheap and brassy for Denise Van Outen.

Co-host Kelly Osbourne wore this multi-block-coloured gown.

I have been preferring her shorter looks lately.

Katherine Jenkins gave Kylie a run for her money in the style-stakes wearing an ivory Valentino Spring 2008 off-the-shoulder mini flapper-style dress.

Attention seeking Abigail Clancy, got the attention she was clearly looking for when she wore this sheer dress.

I don’t know what I am more annoyed at, the shamelessness of this stunt, or that fact that she is not wearing matching underwear.

KT Tunstall wore a stunning beaded number. I am usually not a fan of her style, but she gets it right me here.

Kate Nash is another lady who is pretty in pink, right down to her shoes.

Kelly Rowland’s dress has Tina Knowles written all over it, tacky, tacky and tacky, but at least she had the feathers to keep her warm.

Backstage Kelly looked more like a star and less like a streetwalker in this plunge-neck gown.

Leona Lewis in this Roberto Cavalli dress is a little boring and predictable here, when so many others opted for loud bright colours.

Alesha Dixon did not dare to go bare legged in this ultra mini red dress from Jenny Packham’ Fall 2007 collection.

Ferne Cotton has nice legs, but I am hating this red playsuit from PPQ.

Cheryl Cole (in yellow) recently found out in that her husband is a no-good cheating skank.

She has been going though the heart-breaking decision of leaving him, but does not let the anguish show here. Quite the opposite in fact, she is showing Mr Cole just what he is missing.

Good on your girl, way to keep your head up. He is not worth it.

In case you were wondering, I am HATING the lipstick, everything else works though.

I am loving what the other girls are wearing as they look sexy and fun, but the Farrah Fawcett hair on the red head, Nicole, is just killing me.
