Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Katherine Jenkins and Amber Rose don’t seem like they would share a similar taste in fashion, but both have stepped out in this Jil Sander sculpted wool crepe dress.

Katherine wore this dress in October to the “Pride of Britain Awards” in London.

I like the dress, but it doesn’t seem to translate that well off the runway to red carpet. The structured piece gets kinda lost.

I think Katherine looks OK, but I’m not exactly blown away as she somehow manages to make this dress look dowdy.

I like the chunky clutch and the shoes though.

Amber wore this dress to the New York screening of “Twilight Saga: New Moon” back in November.

She wore the bright orange version and had it shortened. Figures!

I really love what she’s done with the length and that orange suits her skin so well.

Amber wins for me as I prefer the dress in orange.

Welsh singer Katherine Jenkins first wore this French Connection sequin dress back in October to the “Woman Of The Year Lunch” and I must say I’m not a massive fan.

What is with that messy bouffant and black ribbon? Sack the hair stylist!

I don’t think this particular dress is a great length on Katherine either.

We next saw this dress on Stacey Dash in November who sneaked past security to attend the “Jimmy Choo for H&M” launch party in LA.

She’s got great legs and this dress really does them justice.

I would have liked to see her hair worn up (not a la Katherine though!)

I don’t think this dress needs accessories and the necklace adds nothing to the look.

The shoes don’t really work for me either.

Olivia Munn was the most recent celeb to wear this on the red carpet during the “Up In The Air” premiere in LA.

I love what she’s done with dress.

I wouldn’t have thought a nude shoe would work here but somehow it does.

I like that her hair is pulled back and the make up is subtle.

For me it’s a no brainer – Olivia rocks this sequin dress the best.

You can buy this dress in blue or black from the French Connection website.

I always love it when celebrities wear high street brands.

Last week we saw Katy Perry and Rihanna battle it out in H&M. This time we have Katherine Jenkins and Lauren Bosworth both wearing French Connection.

Katherine Jenkins looked very pretty in pink when she attended the “Samsung Pink Ribbon Breast Awareness Day” at Westfield Shopping center in London last month.

I wasn’t crazy about her black Trib Two’s, but I did love those stunning silver earrings.

Lauren Bosworth partied with Stephanie Pratt and Lauren Conrad at “Maxim’s Launch Party For Assassin’s Creed II” recently wearing the same dress is black.

I’m sure the ladies had no interest in the computer game, but it gave them all an excuse to dress up.

Lo kept her look very simple by only adding black ankle boots to her look.

I dislike both footwear choices, but I love the bright pink colour on Katherine so she wins for me.

This dress is available to purchase in both pink and black from French Connection’s website.

Katherine Jenkins continues to promote her new album “Believe”.

During her promotion she dazzled in designer dresses, but also made high-street looks we can all afford look amazing.

After she was helicoptered into Swansea, the singer changed out of her Oscar de la Renta dress into a strapless sassy D&G dress to sign her CD for waiting fans.

The floral print dress was less structured on Katherine, as she opted out of the runway belt and paired her dress with tights and Trib Two’s.

The next day she headed to London Westfield shopping centre to greet fans at HMV.

Here she looked beautiful wearing a black Matthew Williamson jewel detailed dress from the Fall 2009 collection without the runway necklace, which I had assumed was part of the dress.

YLS sandals completed the look.

At HMViIn Manchester Katherine opted for a cute strapless black and white printed French Connection Danask sweetheart dress worn with Trib Two’s.

Attending the “Samsung Pink Ribbon Breast Awareness Day” in London, Katherine glowed in a bright pink French Connection Otto frill dress again worn with Trib Two’s.

My favourite looks here are the Matthew Williamson dress, and the pink French Connection dress. Regular readers will guess why.

Katherine Jenkins has had a very busy few days.

On Saturday she donned a rubber dress to perform at G-A-Y at the Heaven Nightclub in London.

With her hair swept to one side she was decorated with hundreds of Swarovski crystals on her shoulder and hair.

On Sunday she sang the national anthem at London’s Wembley Stadium for the NFL match between the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

She ditched the rubber and this time opted for a more sophisticated look wearing an Alexander McQueen feather print gown.

On Monday the singer arrived in style to promote her new album in Swansea via by helicopter.

She was glowing wearing a white Oscar de la Renta Spring 2009 silk chiffon pleated dress with embroidered details, which she paired with YSL heels.

Katherine really is every woman going from vamp, to sophisticated to a chic lady who lunches.

I was surprised to see her wearing the rubber dress, but it just goes to show she willing to dress for the occasion.

Curtis School Summer Fair, LA

Isn’t it too hot to be wearing head-to-toe leather in LA?

Not for Victoria Beckham it seems.

The mother of 3 was spotted out in LA wearing a Balmain Spring 2009 leather jacket, with Dsquared² Fall 2009 leather pants.

“Dare” Screening, East Hampton

Emmy Rossum is giving us so much variety on the red carpet lately, that it’s hard not to be impressed.

The brunette beauty looked gorgeous on the red carpet wearing a teal Lela Rose Spring 2009 fitted dress, with a ruffled detail on the shoulder.

Her look was paired with gold accessories including Christian Louboutin Fortuna platform sandals and a gold clutch.

The Art Of Elysium’s GENESIS Event, LA

Sophia Bush should really be the campaign girl for Max Azria as she is – along with Amanda Bynes – so loyal to the brand.

Just last week she wore a BCBG Max Azria gown, this weekend she wore a Max Azria lace mini dress and for this event she wore a black and white Herve Leger bandage dress from the Resort 2010 collection.

Burgundy suede Trib Two’s complete this stunning look.

19th Annual ‘Divas Simply Singing!’ AIDS Benefit Concert, LA

Actress Sheryl Lee Ralph paired purple strappy sandals with her purple Tadashi Shoji Fall 2009 satin draped dress.

The colour is exquisite.

Women Of The Year Lunch, London

I love Katherine Jenkins’ French Connection sequined dress.

It’s cute, young and fun plus it has shoulder pads, but the hair really lets her down.

It looks like she had an electric shock.

Like almost everyone else on this post she wore Trib Two’s.

10th Anniversary of Estee Lauder Raising Funds for Breast Cancer, New York

Last year Elizabeth Hurley seemed to have her sensitivity chip missing when she arrived at the Global Illumination Initiative to raise awareness for breast cancer in London wearing a breast enhancing Giambattista Valli dress.

For this Breast Cancer event she was dressed demurely wearing a pink sequined fitted Naeem Khan dress paired with nude heels.

The Surfrider Foundation’s 25th Anniversary Gala, LA

Audrina Patridge is the 4th person on this post to pair their look with YSL Trib Two’s proving that when it comes to walking the red carpet, these YSL Trib Two’s are still as popular as they were 2 seasons ago.

This is due to the fact that they are so comfortable to walk in.

The “actress” wore a sexy silver Obakki Spring 2010 strapless ruche bodice dress and carried a matching clutch.
