Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Katherine Heigl is making me dizzy.

One minute she’s blonde, then brunette, then blonde, now back to brunette again.

I prefer her as a blonde, but she did look stunning yesterday for her appearance on “The Late Show With David Letterman”.

I really appreciated this bright yellow Jenni Kayne Spring 2010 dress as summer officially came to London this week.

I love the black accessories which included black bracelets and black YSL Tribute sandals, but the pearls didn’t make sense with this look.

On Letterman she talks motherhood ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ and how she can no longer bring herself to watch the show.

Remember earlier this week when I said that stripes don’t photograph too well on the red carpet? Case in point.

Katherine Heigl arrived at the 13th Annual ASPCA Bergh Ball in New York City last night wearing a blue and white striped Lyn Devon Spring 2010 dress.

I don’t hate the dress, but I don’t like Katherine in this dress. It doesn’t suit her one tiny bit.

Maybe it would have worked with her blonde locks, but she’s already reverted back to a darker hair colour.

The necklace was a nice touch to the ‘Little House On The Prairie’ inspired look, but the make-up lets her down.

We’re just getting into the groove of summer, but fashion editors are already shooting Fall 2010 looks.

On an unknown photoshoot last week, Katherine Heigl was spotted trying on a selection of outfits in Hollywood.

As she posed on a balcony we can see the former ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ actress wearing a silk ivory halter dress, a blue plunging dress and a dark chocolate Lanvin Fall 2010 coat/dress.

As her -reverted back to blonde- hair flowed in the wind she accessorized her belted look with a cute fluffy puppy.

I love this look. I’m sure we’ll see Carine Roitfeld wearing this soon.

It been a while since we saw Katherine Heigl on the red carpet.

The “Grey’s Anatomy” star arrived for the WB presentation at Showest showing off a new much darker ‘do.

I’m having trouble adjusting to the new hair colour. I much prefer her with the strawberry blonde locks she sported last summer.

What I’m also not fond of are those Christian Louboutin boots with the demi-sheer lace-effect.

Her fitted black dress is nice though.

For the closing ceremony she wore a raspberry plunging Donna Karan dress with a jewel accent on the empire waist.

This overall look which included gold Louboutin slingbacks is really beautiful.

She’s totally glowing, but she narrowly avoided a MAJOR wardrobe malfunction.

Katherine Heigl first wore this electric blue Reem Acra Resort 2010 dress to the “Late Show With David Letterman” back in July of last year.

This is such a great dress for Katherine from the colour to the cut.

I love how the wrap over style of this dress nips her in at the waist.

My only complaint would be the black shoes – I think she should have gone for something bolder.

Carla Gugino then wore this dress in black to the Hollywood Forgien Press Association’s Annual Installation Lunch in LA back in August 2009.

Carla has chosen to wear the v-neck of this dress slightly higher but I think she could have gotten away with a lower cut like Katherine.

I think that Carla manages to make this dress look a bit mumsy somehow.

The T bar shoes are cute though.

Katherine wins this round for me – she looks radiant in this colour.

This gem of a dress is by Indian designer Naeem Khan, taken from his Resort 2010 collection.

Both women look like superstars here, with the combination of a heavenly colour choice and twinkling textured fabric making a perfect red carpet gown.

Firstly is Katherine at ‘The Ugly Truth’ premiere in London.

Maybe it’s her gigantic smile and proud pose too, but she looks amazing.

The statuesque star looks confident in Naeem Khan adding a ribbon around her waist to show off her curves.

The dress looks remarkable without the ribbon, as Mary Alice Stephenson demonstrates.

The stylist Mary Alice Stephenson posed at “A Magical Evening” Gala in New York recently, adding a more unusual shoe with the dress which kept the look modern.

I love both but Katherine works it just that little bit more I think. Her look and character completely shine on the red carpet.
