If I was to write a list of red carpet rules one of them would be to keep the neck bare when wearing a strapless dress, then I see Katherine Heigl’s stunning chunky David Yurman pearls with her Lanvin Fall 2009 beige tulle strapless dress and I instantly ditch the rules.

That is because the yellow and white pearls really add some pizazz to her look and as a result she glows.

Beige pumps and a classic updo complete this perfect look.

Kate Walsh supported her former colleague wearing a cute sleeveless blazer with matching white shorts by Isabella Oliver.

Gold accessories including Moschino Cheap and Chic metallic gold cut out peep toe wedges, a gold clutch and gold bangles complete this summer fresh look.

OK, I think it’s official I’m in love with Venus Williams’ style at the moment.

She is on fire and I hope she progresses to even better looks in the future.

On this occasion the Wimbledon runner up opted for a coral strapless dress with bejeweled sandals and a lavender stone choker.

As great as Serena Williams looked at the ESPY Awards, she really lets herself down here for wearing this plunging black dress without some support.

No bra, no likey.

Jewel lets her green maxi Temperley London dress with an embroidered neckline do all the talking, as the singer opts for a minimal jewelry.

Grey’s Anatomy actress Katherine Heigl is currently working a movie called Five Killers in Nice.

The film is comedy thriller also stars Ashton Kutcher, Tom Selleck, Catherine O’Hara.

The actress was photographed on set, whilst engaging in a kissing scene with Ashton, wearing a Oscar de la Renta Tweed print dress.

The burnt orange pretty pleated dress, has a tweed-inspired print with burst of Caribbean blue.

Net-A-Porter have this dress available to purchase from their US site for $2,290, or the international site £1,272/€1,693.29.

The strong colour combinations picks up on the trend toward bold colours this season. Compliment with turquoise accessories to really make this dress stand out.

Worst Dressed Award
I would wear this dress to work or to an interview, in fact I think I have a dress just like this. So I’m surprised Jennie Garth, with access to a lot of dresses, would pick this one.

OK she does not have the keys to Carolina Herrera’s closet like Renee Zellweger, but she can do better than this, even with her D list status.

Most Disappointing Award
Debra Messing is one of my faves, so imagine my deep disappointment to see her take to the red carpet last night in this extremely unflattering Donna Karan dress.

The steel grey colour is not so bad, but the fit is, and so is that thing on the front of her dress.

Why Debra? Why?

Most Unlikely To Add This Dress My Wish List Award
This has to be the most boring dress I have ever seen Reese Witherspoon wear.

So dull, so lifeless, so unlike Reese. I hope she’s saving better dresses for bigger occasions.

Most Uninspiring Award
Apart from the leopard print lining of her Dolce & Gabbana suit, I have no interest in what Katherine Heigl is wearing – although I do like the shoes.

For someone of her caliber, I would have expected more. Anne Hathaway looked so great in her suit this week, that this feels a bit copy-cat.

No Wow Factor Award
The colour was great, but I felt no wow factor from Chandra Wilson.

Worst Gown Award
There were a few gowns at this awards show last night, but Lisa Edelstein takes the prize for having the worst one.

Again it fails to flatter, and again I expected more.

Rootstein Gallery Unveils The Coca Rocha Mannequin, New York

Ahhhh, so it was red hair Coco Rocha was hiding under those wigs.

The great unveiling was a dual effort, as the supermodel also unveiled her mannequin at this event.

She looked fierce, as always, wearing a black and white smart masculine look.

Screening of “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”, New York

Mary-Kate Olsen keeps her outfit low-key, only using a bright leopard print Louis Vuitton scarf to break up her all black ensemble. She completed her look with peep-toe ankle boots.

In stark contrast to Mary-Kate, Ciara went all out for this screening.

The singer wore a super-slinky, Giorgio Armani Fall 2007 embellished dress, which she matched with pointy grey stilettos.

Love the dress, hate the hair.

Taraji P. Henson added some much needed colour to the red carpet, wearing a tangerine Pamella Roland Fall 2008 dress, with a belt and voluminous skirt.

“Marley & Me” LA Premiere

Kristin Cavallari prom-esqe dress would have been so much better had it not been for those ribbons.

No wonder Courtney Cox and Jennifer Aniston are friends. Bland and Blander.

Coats should be banned from the red carpet, no matter how cold it is, but I do like Katherine Heigl’s red number, which she compliments with red heels and red lips.

“Bedtime Stories” London Premiere

I think you have to have a lot of personality to pull off this amazing peach Givenchy Spring 2009 dress, and frankly I don’t think Keri Russell has it, plus I hate the shoes she is wearing with this dress.

This dress had so much more life on the runway.

Former X Factor contestant Diana Vickers had her first outing on the red carpet, since being booted off the show.

I like the colour, but not the double skirted dress itself. Also her gold shoes look 2 sizes too small, and her lips look incredibly dry.

She has a lot to learn.

Elsa Pataky Presents Gossip Girl, Madrid

Elsa Pataky banished any winter blues by wearing a multi-coloured Gucci Resort 2009 mini dress, which tan Gucci heels.

MAC Selfridges Store Appearance, London

Fergie launched a new cosmetics line by the singer and MAC in London yesterday, with all sale proceeds going to an AIDS awareness campaign.

Fergie presented new lipstick, Viva Glam VI and Lipgloss wearing a Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2008 printed shirt, a black pencil skirt and eggplant satin heels.

18th Annual Broadcasting and Cable Hall of Fame Awards, New York

No matter what the occasion weather it be a premiere, an award ceremony, or political rally, Kerry Washington is always flawless.

She is very much taking over Thandie Newton who was Most Consistent in my Best of 2007 Awards last year.

The actress wore a stunning peachy halter neck Roberto Cavalli gown, which was mostly pleated.

Definitely a contender for Best Dressed Of The Week.

Vacheron Constantin, Launches Quai De L’ile in Support of Afghanistan World Foundation, New York

Kate Bosworth channels her inner rock chick, and looks much better than her previous outing, wearing a Miu Miu ensemble of a black sequined tee, burgundy leather skirt and Miu Miu Sculpted heel pumps.

I wonder how long it took to straighten her hair.

Kim Raver wore a grey Dior dress, with tie sleeves that has already been worn by Madonna.

What is it with Kim and re-runs? That is two nights in a row.

Lindsay Price keeps it chic in a classic LBD with sexy thigh-high split.

HUGO BOSS Store Opening, New York

Brooke Shields is the epitome of elegance, wearing a black velvet tuxedo with satin lapels.

Maggie Gyllenhaal, sure does love to wear black.

The actress wore her charcoal grey strapless Hugo Boss Fall 2008 dress with grey booties and a ivory necklace.

Fierce as always, Mena Suvari strikes a pose in blue satin dress, with a 3/4 lenght jacket.

Peaches Geldof tries to make a statement style, by wearing a skimpy playsuit and blue-tinted hair.

Peter Alexander Flagship Boutique Grand Opening And Benefit, LA

Katherine Heigl wear a stunning cobalt blue Black Halo Jackie O Dress, which seems to be remade in new colours each season.

With its flattering lines to accentuate all the best features, this dress will never go out of style.

Mandy Moore decided to go grunge, after her exposure the previous night.

Prison Break actress Sarah Wayne Callies attended the Fox All-Star Party At The Pier in Santa Monica last month.

Sarah showed off her figure wearing a Diane von Furstenberg ‘Kitt’ Two Tone Dress. Her two-toned dress had a satin bodice and a jersey skirt. The bow detailed at the v-neck and the pleating at the skirt gave the dress a nice drape.

A slightly over-tanned Katherine Heigl, wore the same dress when she arrived at the 3rd Annual Hot in Hollywood event in LA earlier this month.

She wore her dress with tan strappy sandals, and a black Mary Norton clutch embellished with Swarovski crystals.

Katherine look very sexy in this dress. If feels like it was made just for her, as it fits her perfectly. I also prefer her shoes, so she wins this for me.
