Katharine McPhee In Carven – The Today Show

Katharine McPhee made a guest appearance on the Today Show on Tuesday in New York City to promote the second series of her hit show ‘Smash’, which premiered on the same evening.

The actress wore a dress by a brand which is universally loved – Carven.

Her Spring 2013 guipure lace dress, with a racer front, cut-out midsection, and a full skirt with tonal organza underlay, was muted for daytime TV with a white blazer.

You may be thinking, what is the point of wearing an interesting dress if you are going to cover it up on TV yet still have your stomach showing, and I would agree.

In saying that, I do like the look, especially when paired with my favourite shoe designer of the moment, Aquazzura.

Her ‘Sexy Thang’ suede sandals, which I also own in electric blue (of course), add some fierce femininity to her chic daytime TV look.

Pink lips and a wavy lob provided the finishing touches.

amfAR New York Gala To Kick Off Fall 2013 Fashion Week Red Carpet Round Up

Many more stars joined Sarah Jessica Parker and Alexa Chung on the red carpet last night for the amfAR New York Gala to kick off Fall 2013 Fashion Week.

Heidi Klum: No surprises that the Project Runway host wore a Michael Kors gown. Her black jersey halter gown with crystal embroidery was styled with a white-and-black diamond necklace and a matching ring by her favourite jeweller, Lorraine Schwartz. Sleek locks and kohl-rimmed eyes completed her look.

Crystal Renn: The model was wearing… you guessed it – Zac Posen. Her bold red gown with a floor-sweeping skirt was styled with Lorraine Schwartz ruby earrings and a retro updo. As predictable as this look is, for Crystal it never gets old.

Katharine McPhee In Theyskens’ Theory – 2013 Golden Globe Awards

Katharine McPhee strutted her stuff in style on the red carpet at the 2013 Golden Globe Awards in Califorina on Sunday.

She turned on the sex appeal in a black satin Theyskens’ Theory Spring 2013 gown.

The ‘Smash’ star accented her seductive ensemble with subtle bangles, a structured Oroton ‘Society’ clutch, and sexy sky-high heels with a clear front strap.

I love that Katharine is stepping away from her wholesome ‘American Idol’ roots and flaunting her fabulous figure.

A high messy bun, nude lips and smoky eye make this look a true stunner.

Katharine McPhee In Peter Pilotto – 9th Annual Style Awards

Katharine McPhee clashed her prints on the red carpet at this year’s 9th Annual Style Awards at New York City’s Lincoln Center last night.

The singer-turned-actress looked lovely in a Peter Pilotto dress from the designer’s Resort 2013 collection.

The print mismatch between the shift and the R&Y Augousti clutch is perfection – as are the Charlotte Olympia ‘Dolly’ platform pumps. I do, however, think that her outfit would work better in the daytime rather than for an evening soiree.

The ‘Smash’ actress looked sweet in a pink long-sleeved Dolce & Gabbana floral mini-dress.

With large appliqué floral embroidery, this is an appropriate daytime look for the casual event.

Tall strappy gold Charlotte Olympia sandals prevent the look from becoming too cutesy.

Sideswept curls and a pink lippie finish the ensemble.

Katharine McPhee In Elie Saab – 2012 Met Gala

Katharine McPhee added a touch of Elie magic to the red carpet at the 2012 Met Gala, held in New York City on Monday evening.

The ‘Smash’ actress looked sensational donning this coral hue.

Her gorgeous curves are caressed by this fully embroidered Elie Saab Spring 2012 gown with a deep square neckline which is accented by a matching belt.

A wavy updo, gold jewels and a bronze Christian Louboutin minaudière completed her statuesque red-carpet look.

Is it me or does she look super tall in this gown?

Need I say one of my favourites of the night? No? OK then.
