Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Kate Winslet graced the cover of the April 2011 edition of US Glamour magazine wearing a Hervé Léger by Max Azria dress with rose gold Van Cleef & Arpels earrings.

She was named one of the magazine’s 50 Most Glam along with other stars Nicole Kidman, Halle Berry, and Gwyneth Paltrow. To see the full list of the 50 Most Glam click here.

Photographed in New York City by Matthias Vriens-McGrath, Kate also wears a black Victoria Beckham dress and a dramatic Sophie Theallet dress.

In the magazine Kate talks about her Academy Award win, motherhood, plastic surgery and more in the issue.

On choosing to play the roles of angst-ridden women:
“It’s my chance to challenge myself to the fullest, which is one of the great joys about this job…. I love it when a character requires me to look less than my red-carpet best. It’s more fun playing a character that requires you to look like dog s–t.” Read more…

There have been so many major red carpet events in London, Paris and LA this week full of breath-taking dramatic gowns.

In New York Michelle Williams and Kate Winslet attended a low key private screening of “Blue Valentine” which was held at the Tribeca Hotel, New York.

Michelle is still sporting that ultra white blonde hair, which is starting to lose its original charm.

She wore a Balenciaga dress which isn’t particulary flattering around the tummy area.

I do however love her Tabitha Simmons strappy sandals.

Kate Winslet opted for a more casual look.

The host of the evening wore a black Tory Burch blazer, black pants and riding boots.

She looks like she’s on her way to the stables, not a movie screening.

Kate Winslet made her red carpet return at the opening of Mario Testino’s Vanity Fair sponsored photo exhibit, “Todo o Nada” in Madrid this week.

The British actress gave us a sultry pose whilst showing off her toned figure wearing a Gucci mini dress.

She paired her black one shoulder mini dress with nude Louboutin’s and a black clutch.

This is a great look.

Classic Kate. Simple, chic and form-fitting.

English Rose Award
Kate Winlset was the Best Dressed Brit at the 2010 Oscars last night.

I love the silhouette of her Atelier Yves Saint Laurent by Stefano Pilati bustier gown, it made her look so very elegant and regal.

She was one of the few I got an old Hollywood vibe from, with the gown and side sweeping hair.

Her look was paired with Tiffany jewels, a YSL satin clutch an silver YSL sandals which complemented her metallic lurex gown.

If I could change one thing, I would’ve removed the necklace.

Kate Winslet showed that practicing pilates is clearly paying off for her, as she walked the red carpet at the 2010 BAFTAs tonight looking super toned.

She looked amazing wearing a black Stella McCartney dress with lace inserts.

As she dashed up the red carpet we were told she wore Stella McCartney heels, whilst wearing Tiffany jewels and a Roger Vivier clutch.

I’m glad she did us Brits proud by looking stunning at this event.

Yes she wearing my least favourite colour black, but this look was far from boring.

Now this is more like it.

I adore Nicole Kidman’s ivory Nina Ricci Spring 2010 bias dress with delicately placed bows.

This look is so refreshing from all the fitted dresses she’s been wearing recently.

I love the colour, her side swept bun and she appears to be make-up malfunction free.

The pictures of Mo’Nique on the red carpet weren’t very flattering as she was holding the gown by her knees to keep the hem dry, but in the press room we got at better look at her.

The ‘Best Supporting Actress’ Golden Globe winner looked sensational wearing strapless gold Reem Acra custom-made gown.

I like that she kept the neck bare as a large necklace may have over shadowed her beautiful yet simple gown.

Surprisingly I don’t hate Jennifer Aniston in this black Valentino Pre-Fall 2010 gown.

Maybe it’s because of the sexy thigh-high split, or the confidence oozing out of her, or that sultry (for her) make-up or maybe it’s the sleep deprivation kicking.

Whilst I like the dress, heels and make-up, I’m still begging for a hairstyle change.  Just a pony or updo will suffice.

Julianna Margulies was also a winner on the night, collecting the award for ‘Best Actress in a Drama’ for her role in “The Good Wife”.

She opted for an interesting Narciso Rodriguez black gown with a blood red shimmering asymmetrical bodice.

It been a long time since I was excited about Kate Winslet on the red carpet.

That midnight blue YSL gown is a great colour for her and the cut flatters her figure so beautifully.

The gown is accented with a pearl and crystal embroidery detail.

Great Kate is back.

Halle Berry wore a Kaufman Franco black silk bias cut gown with lace inserts.

She looked gorgeous but it’s the same plunging neckline and silhouette we’ve seen a million times before.

So whilst I like it, I’m also incredibly bored by it.
