Who Wore Azzaro Better? Kate Walsh or Julia Ormond

Kate Walsh and Julia Ormond have both worn this navy Azzaro gown, with a jeweled halter neck, and a jeweled detailed on the hip.

Kate wore it when she attended the NAACP Image Awards in February last year, and Julia wore the same dress when she attended the SAG Awards on Sunday night.

“It’s Not The Same Gown?” I hear you cry.

Well it is the same gown, but Julia wore the dress as a halter, whereas Kate wore it as a one-shouldered gown.

This one was so close to going under the WWIB? radar.

I love that Julia made this gown her own, but as a one-shouldered gown, I feel like I can see more of the gown, especially the hip detail, so Kate wins this for me.

The Huffington Post Pre-Inaugural Ball

I never imagined I would see this blue velvet Alexander McQueen Fall 2008 coat, with gold embroidery on the red carpet, but of course it would be Trudie Styler who’d make it happen.

Trudie is not afraid of taking risks. They don’t alway pay off, but I really do like what she has done here.

She looks regal, like a queen without her tiara, but she would have to lose those gold hooped earrings.

When I first saw Kerry Washington in this gold Jasmine di Milo Fall 2007 dress, with the sheer yoke I hated it. But to be honest it has grown on me. There is something quite futuristic and McQueen-esqe about it.

Kerry was safely consistent last year, so it’s nice to see her wear something with a bit of an edge.

The Jasmine di Milo Fall 2007 collection seems like it’s having a bit of a revival. First Rihanna, now Kerry.

She completes her look with a black Mary Norton clutch, with gold detailing.

Demi Moore arrived with her hubby, wearing a stunning silver and black sequined dress, which she wore with the heavenly Christian Louboutin Eugenie satin pumps.

Jessica Alba wore black pants and a black tank, but she brighten up her look with a gold blazer, gold peep-toes, and a gold Jimmy Choo Kase oval clutch.

Marisa Tomei wore a black dress with bronze bubble hem. She completed the look with black tights, pumps and her Fendi Borderline satin clutch.

Shakira wore a strapless royal blue Carolina Herrera gown with black detailing on the side.

Kate Walsh arrived wearing a strapless Missoni floral printed dress, with brown sequined bodice.

In Kate Walsh’s Closet – Vintage Hermes Constance Belt

Kate Walsh was all smiles despite her pending divorce, whilst stepping out on Sunday morning with her older brother Joe, as they arrived at a Senior Citizen Center in California.

She was wearing a celebrity shades, a grey tee, a grey leather jacket, loose fitting ripped jeans, and a vintage Hermes Constance belt from the early ’70s.

The chocolate leather belt features a bold, iconic “H” as the buckle.

Casual dressing has never looked so chic.

2008 ESPY Awards Red Carpet – Best Dressed

Best Couple/Best Dressed Female Award
I love Victoria Beckham, you know I do, but for her to walk the red carpet with sunglasses on, (one of my red carpet NO NO’s) is beyond pretentious, although I do appreciate that she is channeling Audrey Hepburn here.

Luckily for her she has that hot arm candy in her husband David Beckham, and she wore a stunning primrose yellow RM for Roland Mouret Pre-Fall 2008 ‘Kleber’ cocktail dress, with an origami-pleated neckline, and full-length zip at the back, which makes me forgive, but not forget.

What I also admire is her restraint to not have worn shoes to match her dress.

Best Dressed Male Award
Hotness.

In some pictures it looked like David Beckham had tucked his tie into his shirt, but the soccer stud was actually wearing a white waistcoat. Such a smooth look for the handsome Becks wearing a Spencer Hart suit and Tom Ford shoes

David won Best MLS Player on the night, a feat that was not very difficult.

Best White Award
For such a hot sunny day TV personality Terri Seymour chose right with this white Azzedine Alaia mini dress, which she matched with gold YSL tribute pumps.

Best Sparkle Awards
I love Venus Williams – who looks a lot like Serena here – in this black and silver sequined plunge-neck Diane von Furstenberg dress with Giuseppe Zanotti strappy heels.

The more championships she wins, the better her style becomes.

Best Female Over 6ft Award
It is not easy being tall, muscular and dressing elegantly, but WNBA player Candace Parker pulls it off, looking very glamourous in her champagne gown.

The star won Best Female Athlete on the night.

Best Accessories Award
I would never have thought to match yellow with grey, but IRL driver Danica Patrick, makes it work with her Nanette Lepore Spring 2008 strapless mini dress.

Not crazy about her hair though.

Simple, But Elegant Award
Sophia Bush’s dark olive one-shouldered Fendi Fall 2008 gown, is a huge departure from her normal style of thigh high dresses.

I adore her earrings.

Best Mini Award
Kristen Bell kept is short and very sweet in this strapless purple Jil Stuart Resort 2009 bustier dress, which she accessorized with a long necklace with a huge pendent.

Best At Sticking To What Works Best Award
Model Adriana Lima wore this Alessandro Dell’Acqua dress, which you would very much expect her to wear as it’s cute and short.

Best At Not Playing It Safe/Best Legs Award
Kate Walsh could have worn a dress like Sophia Bush and played it safe, but the actress wanted to have fun last night, and it showed.

The Private Practice star wore a short purple and silver sequined Jenny Packham cocktail dress, which showed off her sexy legs.

She completed her look with strappy Calvin Klein heels.

Just Not Sure Award
I am not sure if I like this printed maxi dress on Ashanti or I hate it, so I am staying on the fence.

2008 NAACP Image Awards

Vanessa Williams looked youthful and radiant in this stunning one-shouldered Zuhair Murad gown.

This Marchesa Spring 2008 dress America Ferrera is wearing makes up for the grey dress she wore to the SAG Awards.

I love the colour on her and the embellished shoulder and bust-line detail.

Kate Walsh is stunning in this midnight blue embellished one-shouldered gown, which gives her a very sexy silhouette.

I love her darker ‘do.

Meagan Good looked to be in the Valentine’s Day spirit as she held a red rose whilst wearing a pink Herve Leger dress.

Jordin Sparks is the epitome of dull in this chocolate strapless gown. I can not believe she won Best Newcomer at this event. It makes me question the validity of these awards.

I am glad that Eva Pigford got rid of the long weave, as this style suits her much better.

I am loving the back of this dress more than the front.

Taraji Henson’s looks to be wearing a fanny pack, but she is actually just showing off her hot pink bag.
