Kate Mara In Cushnie et Ochs – 2015 MTV Movie Awards

Kate Mara In Cushnie et Ochs - 2015 MTV Movie Awards

Kate Mara attended the 2015 MTV Movie Awards, hosted on Sunday (April 12) at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California.

While the actress wasn’t spotted on the blue carpet, she did make a special appearance onstage to present ‘Neighbors’ actor Zac Efron with his popcorn trophy.

She selected a monochromatic, silky white two-piece directional ensemble for the occasion, which mixed the structured, mannish lines of the collared, mock-cape top with a feminine, flared skirt.

Minimal accessories, along with natural makeup and a simply ponytail, likewise put this look firmly in tune with her effortlessly chic, less-is-more aesthetic.

Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco Mid-Winter Gala

Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco Mid-Winter Gala

Kate Mara, Kate Bosworth and Suki Waterhouse attended the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco Mid-Winter Gala, presented by Dior on Friday (March 27) in San Francisco, California.

Kate Mara: The ‘House of Cards’ actress wore a Dior Fall 2013 Couture strapless dress with intricate embroidery. This look was my favourite of the bunch for both its colours, flair and lady-like style. Kate’s mantra has always been less is more, so she just accessorized with a Dior clutch and Dior Fine Jewellery.

Kate Bosworth: I don’t know why, but this red and white Dior Spring 2014 Couture strapless dress didn’t quite work for me on Kate. I don’t think the style of dress is doing anything for her, plus I really dislike her hairstyle here. It feels too casual for the gown. A glossy red lip and white Dior clutch completed the look.

Suki Waterhouse: The model was showcasing her credentials working a black Dior tiered gown graced with feminine allure. The look was simply styled, with a Dior bracelet and wavy tresses. I know many of you are not fans of her style, so how does this look fair?

Kate Mara In Miu Miu – 2015 Golden Globe Awards

Kate Mara In Miu Miu - 2015 Golden Globe Awards

Kate Mara was also in attendance at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on Sunday (January 11).

Also wearing one of the colours of the night, the actress was dressed in a red Miu Miu backless, body-con gown, the hem of which was sadly a victim to the wetter weather of the evening.

The retro quirk of the tan belt is what makes this an undeniable Miu Miu outing, yet I wished to see this lovely dress with its beautifully sculpted neckline sans this distracting accessory.

Her top-to-toe Miu Miu look also included a metallic clutch, with barely-there makeup completing the effect.

Kate Mara In J. Mendel – Jimmy Choo New Bond Street Townhouse & Vices Launch Party

Kate Mara In J Mendel - Jimmy Choo New Bond Street Townhouse & Vices Launch Party

Kate Mara attended a cocktail reception to celebrate the opening of the Jimmy Choo New Bond Street Townhouse and launch of the VICES collection on Thursday (October 9) in London, England.

The actress wore her favourite designer, selecting a lime textured cotton and leather collage bustier dress from J. Mendel’s Spring 2015 collection, which she styled with metallic-pewter accessories from Jimmy Choo including the ‘Anouk’ pumps and ‘Cloud’ clutch.

The look creates a strong impact, reenergising and reinvigorating her style which at times tends to be quite beige. This look makes me stand up and take notice.

‘Miu Miu Women’s Tales #7 – #8′ Venice Film Festival Premiere

'Miu Miu Women's Tales #7 - #8' - Premiere - 71st Venice Film Festival

A collection of six starlets were at the ‘Miu Miu Women’s Tales #7-#8’ premiere, held during the 2014 Venice Film Festival in Venice, Italy on Thursday (August 28). Naturally, all were representing the label, donning a range of Miu Miu looks that couldn’t have each been more different if they tried.

Dakota Fanning: The trendsetting starlet wore a Miu Miu creamy white satin sheath dress with beaded embellishment, paired with nude platform Miu Miu pumps and a bejeweled grass-green Miu Miu clutch. I would have loved to see the same punch of colour in her shoe, along with an updo.

Kirsten Dunst: The actress went for a retro spin in an A-line Miu Miu dress featuring a funky blue and white swirl print. She accessorized with pops of silver via her clutch and sandals, not to mention the flash of those side-swept platinum locks.

Kate Mara: Donning the same nude platforms as Dakota, Kate wore hers with a nude Miu Miu dress with allover paillettes and a sparkling, decorative neckline. The design was pretty and carried with it a vintage flair, but the colour washed out her complexion, especially with her neutral makeup.

Felicity Jones: Her embellished, midnight-blue Miu Miu dress with sheer sleeves had the fall season written all over it. Black pointy pumps did nothing to lighten the look, but the actress did take a more summery, breezy approach to her barely-there makeup.

Lena Dunham: Once again opting for a head-scratcher of a look, the ‘Girls’ star didn’t exactly stand out for the right reasons in her sombre, daresay frumpy, patterned frock. The Prada dress and the flat, block-heel sandals aged her far beyond my liking—as did her beehive ’do.

Nicoletta Romanoff: The only one to really embrace what’s left of summer, Nicoletta was the most polished of the bunch in her flirty and youthful white ruffle blouse and lemon-yellow skirt by Miu Miu, paired with breezy waves and sun-kissed makeup. If I were to nitpick, I would have selected a colourful, fun sandal not this chunkier brown pair.
